- I had to see if an inexpensive trash pump would actually run my new piece of prospecting equipment. It does the job ..barley but looks like it might be ok for the job
I plan to buy that pump also
I came up with the hf 1" pump idea this afternoon. Then typed it in the search, you came up😅
😁
Andy, get a piece of 1/4 inch hardware cloth and place it in the grizzly on top of the bars. Automatic classifier lets you run only classified material over the sluice. all large rocks fall of grizzly. I run my dredge hose directly into my grizzly for that result.
Thanks for this video. I messed up and bought a 1" 2 stroke. It works ,but loud as hell. I got it because it only weighs 18lbs. Should have bought the HF 1", but the weight is 2 times heavier . It's an hour hike into my claim.
An hour hike in? Oh man the golds gonna be good😀
Gonna have to get one of those 👍🍻
Thanks for sharing this ⛏🤙
Thank you for posting this video, very helpful
Looks really good and I’m glad you found a less expensive option to the Honda.
That Keene is a really nice highbanker Andy!
Good luck on your mining trip tomorrow!
Looking forward to watching that.
That trash pump will be More than Adequate, If you have enough water! Mine still works!😂😂😂
If there's any water🤦🤪
Dont cut off the flap just put some sticks under it to raise it up. You may want it there in the future.
Don't you just love it when the pump motor doesn't want to play nice.🤔😡Flow looks good and clean rocks. I would try to pull the damper flap off and see what happens. 👍A little more pump, yes.😎👍👍⛏⛏
A little more..😂
great video ;)
here in sweden we use 5 degree angel that collect more gold,
but great video ;)
Yes ive had one of those hoppers they rock , need to get another. Im running a 2' dredge with 1' harbor frieght pump. Ive only used it a few times & your absolutely right that blue hose i lost so much pressure / flow..... Yes I have same rubber flap on dredge head on sluice box , does same.... I might just buy a 2'
Looks like an awesome setup! Love watching your videos. Can't wait to get out there to Arizona and start slamming on them GPAA claims. And just an afterthought. If you used a shorter bucket at the bottom of the high banker so that you didn't have to increase the angle, so the bucket would fit, material would move even with the slower pump.
Ahh thanks man,and good luck out there! Just need a little more water
I found Predator Engine 79cc performance upgrade kits in the go cart racing world. These Engine mods may keep the light weight to pack in and the power needed to pump more water.
You can always try making the drop of the Sluice box steeper for better water flow.
Good video Andy, good luck this weekend....!
Hey Dale, good to see you .thanks🙂
Hey Dale will you please email me at andyz1974@gmail.com thank you
They make a inch and half pump same size as your one inch pump about 170 on ebay thats what I use and have no problems it runs my 2 inch dredge also
Thanks Brian that's awsome 🙂
@@andyamysarizonaadventures5450 no problem bud
I agree, $200 AUD 1 1/2 inch both sides. It works well on a 10 inch dream mat highbanker. Use a layflat hose for portability, but round suction pipe is better if you can carry a small length 🇦🇺👍👌
@@adhawk5632 thanks😁
Put strip of strong Velcro type material across the width of the dredge flap. You also can use a velcro strap. It’s like a zip tie but about 3/4” wide strap made of velcro. Roll up the flap towards the top of the dredge flair opening. Then secure with two straps. Just an idea. Very very cool stuff you have there, sir..
Thank you very much!
nice video
Have you thought about using a spa hose instead of the lay flat? You don't have to worry about kinking. Just a thought. Great progress have a good one
Andy, not sure if you can upsize the inlet hose to 2" on the smaller pump?
Might be worth a try to test again with a 2" supply line going to and from the HF pump.
nice set up fam. keep up the great work. GOLD SQUAD OUT!!!
raise the back off your box and keep level pin that flap up in the air i you will see a difference i think or put a shorter bucket in front to catch taillings just a thought PRESTON
Thank you!
Andy when you use the reducer it will affect the flow rate and using 2" hose will also affect it it with 1" pump. What it you made the lay flat pipe smaller length and turn it into 2 pieces. Your flow would increase a lil and shmaebe enough to work for you. Also you were are flat ground with 0 lift that will effect the the overall gpms. Food for thought when using the highbanker in a real field senorio. Best of luck getting shiney lines in the riffels.
Great points our friend 🙂 thanks!
Andy... Hello from David L. Howser of Freeland, Maryland. I have enjoyed, very much, your Arizona Adventure videos. I wish to give back. Having a background in Aquaculture System Design, I humbly suggest that there are too many 90 PVC pipe bends in the existing compact spray bar water supply design, which when combined are significantly reducing the overall water flow. Please consider flipping over the spray bar 180 degrees, then installing a spa "Y" pipe fitting before the spray bars with two flex pvc spa pipes leading to the two spray bars to create gentle pipe bends between the water supply "Y" fitting and the two spray bars. Maybe make the spray bar with "Y" pipe detachable. This "spa pipe" provides for a much lower water flow restriction design that may significantly reduce restriction points, and provide a better chance of obtaining the needed higher flow rate with the smaller more portable Harbor Freight Tool Water Pump. I hope this higher water flow rate helps creat more gold capturing success. Please keep making those videos. Hope to see you soon, in person, after my move to Dewey-Humboldt, Arizona 86327. Thank you! Incredible 😊
SWEET DEAL!
I saw your latest video come in,going to watch after dinner, cool thumbnail pic.Wish I could figure out how to colage em like that.well done!
@@andyamysarizonaadventures5450 3D Paint, go to edit and add 3d text. It will make a MP4 file and you will need to use the snipping tool to take a screenshot and save it as a picture;)
Them Cats will steal that gold!!!!😝
Cut flap ,shorten distance from pump to water supply and discharge hoses try .
Less distance = less weight of water on suction and discharge sides..
Mabe try smaller hose ..inch and a half..
Just ideas..
Love you site !!
Thanks Doug
Exactly what I was thinking.
Thanks for the great video! I have nearly that exact setup - same highbanker, and a small 1” pump. I purchased a used Honda 3” pump. Did I go to large, and, can/should I reduce it down to 2” or 2.5”? And if so, do I have to do intake AND output, or one or the other? I haven’t purchased any hoses yet, and want to get the correct items once. I’m new to this, they are all recent purchases. Thank you in advance - and I am subscribing!
Thank you! I would keep the over sized pump and make it work, especially being a honda. That 3" may only require just above idle to feed your plant sipping gas and working easy lasting you years.I don't know how much portability is an issue.
I had to govern my trash pump down, And put a valve on it to reduce water pressure to my "piglet"! Freddy Dodge is in Arizona,& I'm in North Carolina! Freddy is on discovery channel; might be worth watching! I don't use lay flat hose; it's cheaper, but more delicate,& always a pia!
You should be able to shovel right into that, without classifying. My pump is a 2" predator- from harbor freight!
You need to make the intake the same size as the discharge or larger with the non-collapsible hose or you will not have any benefit!
I'll be panning & Sluicing with Benzo Bonanza in the morning! I'll try to do a video!
Whats the gph on the 1 inch ?
Like 35 ,but this time of evening it's how many BPH 🤪🍻🥩
I have the same setup. What would happen if you used 2 1 inch pumps
Nice,I would think that would give the pressure needed, large dredges use 2 pumps, great idea Corey!
I have a buddy who's a roadrunner who is selling a small Honda pump.... it's has the keene high pressure pump... it's damn near brand new. He's out this weekend on the new claim towards cleator. Which i like it a great new claim. Maybe you might run into him and his wife
Please ask him how much for the pump😁 that cool, yeah I heard they got new claims but I haven't gotten there news letter to know where they are!
Good morning and will do .. I'll call him in a bit
Smaller hose size running to highbanker would build pressure on small pump 😎✌
Ohh😁 thanks
Needs a larger supply line to the pump.
2 inch in 2 inch out, depends on the gph ratings...you can only push so much volume thru a 1 inch hose.
Want more volume? Need larger diameter hose...larger diameter may require a larger pump.
Again depends on the gph water flow.
The small 1-in pump from Harbor Freight that's not a trash pump.. I have the same one.. the 2-in one is for sure..
2” is better until you can get a 1.5 from Keene!
Hey thanks for the visit my friend, I went over and subbed, can't wait to check it out
RUclips Channel Robot Cantina does a Predator 212cc engine modification series.
Woow
Not enough flow,,,but a cool Video
Thanks David
Is Amy ever happened
You know , with Dry Washing you don`t need any of that stuff .... :)
It is alot of crap😂
