People don’t even realise when they released Sound of the Underground, nobody was doing pop rock tracks with drum and base elements. Everyone was expecting a standard pop RnB girlgroup ballad.
out of control was definintly her album , she had the most parts and moments and im so happy she had that for her. feel like she was 2nd to nadine when it came to vocals in the group@@jadebel7006
Girls Aloud were formed in 2002 from a TV show in the UK called "Popstars:The Rivals". A lot of male and female contestants competed to join 2 groups at the end, a girl band and a boy band. The 2 groups then competed to get the Christmas no.1 in the UK. Sound of the Underground was the girls debut single and was the Christmas no.1 with the boy band "One True Voice" getting the no.2 single on the chart. Girls Aloud then went on to great success in the following 10 years.
Kimberly's part and the silhouettes in Something Kinda Ooooh are absolute fire. Long Hot Summer, Wake Me Up and I Think We're Alone Now are fun ones too!
Something kinda ooh must be in my top 10 of all time. ❤ that song. GA honestly have some of that catchiest songs ever. You say you didn’t get grabbed by Love Machine. I guarantee you’ll be pottering about and it will pop in your head 😂
Sound of the Underground has got to be one of the best debut songs of all time! Set up some absolute bangers for the next decade! And when you think that the track and video were recorded just days after the group was formed, and way before they became more polished with looks and performing together together … just epic!
THE 4th biggest western girl band! My favourites! Ten years of perfect brit pop! They have a specific sound, all cheesy first singles and then albums of GOLD and like perfect popstars they made every tour a dvd experience and ARE STILL the BEST live girl group experience of the naughties. Please GOD PLEASEEEE react to their concerts cuz they’re all dvd and all on RUclips and you’ll see why they ruled the country for 10 years and then Cheryl went in to be our biggest solo popstar ever.
Eeek I actually squealed with joy when Something Kinda Ooh came on 😱😍 soooo glad you enjoyed it so much, it's a frickin anthem imo. Equally glad you enjoyed their debut Sound of the Underground 😍 to come from a reality tv show (Pop Idol) with such a killer track and then to maintain a very solid 10 year career after was and still is amazing imo. Most of their singles hit top 10 in the UK and I'm pretty sure they had the record for girl group top 10 hits up until Little Mix. They topped the Spice Girls success here in the UK, granted they were around longer but I feel they're very underrated. I'm hoping for some live performance reactions as they genuinely deliver in that aspect. Thanks for another fab reaction ❤
Fellow fan here! I agree with you. GA success is different than Spice Girls. In terms of chart success with nine number 1’s in UK Spice Girls are unmatchable. Meanwhile GA are also household names, their sound is bold and they have an endless amount of top 10 hits and.
It's funny you said you liked the video for Something Kinda Ooooh as they had so much more planned for it but they ran out of time and had to scrap a lot of scenes. They have since said they don't care much for the finished product that they ended up with. Luckily though, the song overshadows the video as opposed to the other way around!
They played my university grad ball in 2004. I can confirm that Sound of the Underground, Love Machine, and The Show were all very good live. Something Kinda Ooh wasn't out yet at the time.
Theese Girls do be ALOUD *dry laughter* 😏Funfact im sure people have told you already,Cheryl Cole 0:51 has after this also went on to become a judge in X-factor alongside Simon Cowell.
Girls Aloud were what I would call the "next generation" Spice Girls, despite coming out only two-years after the Spice Girls' last release, but they definitely filled the gap left by the group, and had their own very unique sound! It's a shame they never broke out internationally. I do think they, along with the Sugababes, could've gained some kind of success.
Sugababes actually were very very popular internationally. Them and atomic kitten had mega popularity outside of Europe. Girls aloud were only popular across parts of Europe which was sad tbh.
Seeing how you had the same reaction I had when I listened Something Kinda Ooooh for the first time which was "I don't want this song to be over" made me love you so much 💓😍
Love more Girls Aloud content! One of the best girl bands of all time! Please do Life Got Cold, No Good Advice, Can't Speak French and I'll Stand By You on the next one. Also, Girls Aloud & Sugababes did a charity cover of Walk This Way together which was fun!
All still played on radio today. Somehow love machine is one of their biggest tracks ever - I never got that but the album it came from and the live concert was incredible
I remember when this song came out or the first time I heard it anyway. I got a bratz car for Christmas and it had an actual radio in the car and this was the first song I heard play on it. Still have the bratz car too. A freakin’ working radio in a toy car!!
Girls Aloud should of never worked. A very manufactured girl group that won a reality tv programme. The music is so amazing and it doesn’t stop at the hits, there are some real hidden gems on the albums to.
I love Girls Aloud, I've seen them live a couple of times (first and last tours as concerts fuel my anxiety so I try to avoid them) plus I've met them all together as a band ❤ Their first 3 singles were really cool, quite edgy compared to what was out and mainstream at the time. Then they turned really tacky for a while, then went back to being cool! They had an amazing career. I just wish things had ended differently for Sarah. Such a sin she passed away, and before her 40th birthday too ☹
I think Somthing kinda oooh was original 3 different songs or something, then it was made into one, and the dance was like made up on the day, cant remember exactly, but they where not prepared at all for the video, but it ended up being a absolutely banger!
That guitar part/riff in the chorus of 'Sound Of The Underground' gave me Pulp Fiction vibes ▶ ruclips.net/video/jtkcM7lerFM/видео.htmlsi=W0SdsoxP4OYoYUx8
From what I could find on your channel, you haven't done "The Loving Kind" yet...that's their best song/video imo, has a different vibe from their other stuff. I don't think you did "Biology" yet either, a way-cute song/video, and then "The Promise" is a must. I'm a big Euro-pop fan, you've done some Atomic Kitten and The Saturdays, but there's a lot more from both you must get to...Cheers!
@@PancakeMarshmallowDude I know...ya beat me to it. :) I was on a different device the night I wrote the above and found them. Didn't comment because I didn't have an account on that device. Be sure to get to "The Loving Kind" when ya can, and you have a ton of Atomic Kitten and more The Saturdays that I really think you'll enjoy. Cheers, been watching your vids when I can over the past six-plus months or so. You're doing a unique thing with the multi-video approach, four reactions in one vid thing. You deserve more subs and more views!
Love Machine is such a bop, even after 20 years!
People don’t even realise when they released Sound of the Underground, nobody was doing pop rock tracks with drum and base elements.

i remeber watching them on Pop Stars the Rivals as a schooboy lol One True Voice covered a BeeGees song....i think an girls aloud did this lol
RIP Sarah! I wish we got to see so much more of her talent! ❤
I mean she owned 'the promise' we know she was a queen by then
out of control was definintly her album , she had the most parts and moments and im so happy she had that for her. feel like she was 2nd to nadine when it came to vocals in the group@@jadebel7006
@@jadebel7006 she absolutely did! But I just wish there was more solo songs of her, she had such a unique and beautiful voice!

"The Show" has to be my all time favorite Girls Aloud song. I've always loved how it sounds like 3 songs playing at the same time and it still works.
You’re always guaranteed a fun time with Girls Aloud 🕺🏼💃🏼

The music video treatments are incredible, hats off to their creativity team for all their videos

OMG I love them. I enjoy Something Kinda Ooh but I feel like they could've done more with the video? IDK
god. i'd love to be able to hear girls aloud for the first time again.

I felt like Girls Aloud were the only band in the UK that every demographic felt unashamed in saying they liked or loved. RIP Primrose x x ❤

They were in a movie St Trinians and they did a song for the movie
one of the best teenage movies, both should be on netflix
One of the most successful girl groups in UK chart history. Thank you for sharing these amazing girls! RIP Sarah!
Thanks for reaction 😊 Love Girls Aloud ❤️ Love your channel 😍
Thank you!! 😊
I don’t know if you’ve seen the Girls Aloud Vs Sugababes song they did called, walk this way. Was a fun cover for charity with them both in.
You have a great taste! Something Kinda Ooooh & Call The Shots are two of my favourite Girls Aloud songs too haha

R.i.p Sarah you were so beautiful and talented so young 😢.im in tears watching this as it’s so sad
I love your insight and your reactions are so much fun ❤
Thank you!
Love the girls aloud reactions.
Will you be doing the Saturdays, eternal, five star or sugarbabes (songs from all the different line ups)?
The Saturdays 🫶🏽
All of these songs are 10s. I wonder what you’d think of Cheryl’s solo stuff!
Yesss whatever you said, these songs are meant to be sang live. They add more into them. I personally love "love machine" live
The girls thought Love Machine was cringe and career suicide, thankfully they were wrong hah
All still played on radio today. Somehow love machine is one of their biggest tracks ever - I never got that but the album it came from and the live concert was incredible
Also would love if you do a solo Cheryl’s video
Looking forward to Long Hot Summer! ❤
Thank youuuuu I needed this today!
Alongside Steps, Depeche Mode and ABBA…Girls Aloud next most played on Spotify ha!

You have been busy today, this is the second video of yours I have watched. Not complaining smile👠
They’re music was my early childhood and 1d was my late childhood to teens 💔

It's the eurodance influence that's went missing after early 2k, this sound was so fun

Loved the reaction you need to have a listen to their song on the metro, there's no mv though
Yes more girls aloud something kinda ohhh is a fantastic song two other great tracks from them are long hot summer and something new
RIP SARAH 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡
I hope there is a part 3, hardly recommend: Something new and Untouchable

I love watching your videos you made me laugh about the fruit eat off his face x
Thank you!
We need a part 3. Do the loving kind, something new, untouchable and can’t speak French next
Please put untouchable on your next reaction 😊
Along with Eternal, these are the best girl group to come out of the UK

Next ETERNAL (another great girls band"
