  • In this video we discuss how to quickly fill in, or autofill 100s or even 1000s or rows or an entire column using a double click with the fill handle. We go through a detailed example of how to do this
    Transcript/notes
Let’s say that you have data that goes down for hundreds or thousands of rows, such as in this example. And you want to quickly autofill in a formula or function for all of the rows.
In cell C2 I have a formula to calculate a 25% margin, as you see here, cell B2 times .25. I will hit the enter key and we have our answer of $166.50.
To fill in this formula for the rest of the rows, left click on cell C2, so it is highlighted, and then move the cursor down to the bottom right corner of the cell, and you will see the cursor turn black. From here, left double click and the rows have been filled in.
