If Kirk posts a video, it must be Kirk approved! This is 10 years old, but I'd love you to try out the Benron V-Tex 400 from Van Nuys. You did a video with a Graco, but this one is a peristaltic pump with air compressor. Does Stucco and other materials. ~$8K too.
Sorry guys. That peristaltic pump is no longer available from Benron. Yeah, they still show it on their website, but it is discontinued. They'll try to sell you a rotor/stator pump in place of it. You can get that anywhere. Imer, or Graco for a piston. I'd be a bit cautious about Benron now.
Hey DD, my son Jason, come up with the idea of videoing our work, he said (dad, since we have to do the work anyway, I don’t mind filming and downloading it on you tube) I thought it was a goofy idea at the time. However the stucco and plastering videos do inform folks that we know what we’re doing. This was Jason’s intentions from the very beginning. Thank you for the compliment and have a groovy evening. Man. You have saved my life. I have plan de an earth bag 14’x14’ dome in the Philippines. This will do the outside great. You think an old dude can’t get laid with these magic skills? Well, maybe and maybe not. I’m still building that dome. Thanks.
Kirk, just a heads up, I tried to purchase this spayer at the motar sprayer website you gave. Paid $250 for it on the website, company does not answer nor get back to you regarding a status of an order. I believe they have closed down, but are still taking money from people through the website, just a note to your viewers to not buy this sprayer from them or they will be out money like myself.
Good morning, Justin, thanks for the tip. I have removed the link and updated your information. Keep in mind we are not paid any fees by anyone to promote any products. I have had phone interactions with the owner , including texts recently. He has been dealing with health issues and said he's had to back off the business lately. For what I know, I'm sure he'll make it right. He has struck me as generous and helpful - very much so - in the past.
Just got an update from the man himself. With his permission: "Thank you. We have been refunding orders. I have gotten strong enough that we are close to shipping again. Hopefully this will smooth out soon."
Howdy Fab, sprayers, and pump are good, but I prefer the work out of applying by hand, We show almost every tool invented for those who may be interested in them. 👨🏻🔬
Hi mark, sure you can, but it hits the wall with a lot of force, A hand hopper would be easier to maneuver or a dash brush. However, if you are doing a whole hose this is the tool. 🤙
Looks super easy (?) I'm doing an earthship with hay bales. This makes me feel alil more confident we can get it done without spending an arm & leg. Thank you so much I have subscribed & look forward to seeing more 😊 cool stuff you do
Hi Pearl, this sprayer does require a lot of power to operate. When I stuccoed my mountain walls, I used it but also used a shovel to throw the stucco from the wheel barrel directly on the wall, You may consider this too as straw bales homes takes sooooo much stucco.🥂
Howdy Jay, I have to view jobs befor I can commit to a bid, all projects are different, thus I can't go by a yard or square footage. Best wishes with your projects, live long and Plaster Kirk giordano on teaching plastering
hi KIRK, this seems really fast but my question is would it be faster with the mortar sprayer or the old fashion way to do wire lath stucco . what is your recommendation?
Hi jimmy singh, this product has it's advantages like a fella not knowing how to apply mud can use it. but I prefer the old fashioned way by hand myself. Cheers! kirk and family
You have to find out the sprayer PSI required and how many CFM it typically uses. Contact the manufacturer of the sprayer. Its doubtful that Porter Cable makes a compressor with enough volume for that sprayer.
You can use 25 gallon compressor but you will probably have to wait for air to charge up. I used 2 25 gallon compressor and it worked fine. 60-80 gallon compressor is ideal
Howdy Number's Dude, no, you need a whell barrel type of comprssor for this particular mortar sprayer. Live long and plaster Do’s and don’t of plastering’s leading expert

Hi Kirk, a shout out to you and wishing you the best from my Family to yours. Missing the bay area. But Now in San Antonio. Just had a question for you wondering if you can help me out with. I just wanted to know how big of a compressor do you need to operate those mortar sprayers. I know the compressors for nail guns will definitely not work. Thanks in advance and God Bless
Morning Carlos Gonzalez, exzackory, for this sprayer, you need a wheel barrow type of compressor, these sprayers are great for straw bale homes or straight big flat walls for say home owners, I can spread by hand more effectively and faster than with these, but thats just me. Cheer kirk giordano
@RainJetSprinklers Hi a fella by named Nolan invented them. You can get a better look at them at.mortarsprayer I actually did a much better video using this sprayer about two months ago. Thanks and best wishes. Kirk Giordano plastering
Paul Bancroft Hi Paul, good question, it appears similar to a hand hopper which is used for blowing on a dash texture, however this mortar sprayer is for the base coats, for small jobs such as this it's not practical, however for plastering straw bail homes or retaining walls it has it's advantages. Best wishes. Kirk giordano plastering
Hi Paul, how coincidence is that, I just responded and you new comment just pooped up, sorry, it is used primarily for base coats, however you can spray on certain finishes such as a dash finish. Its best to use where there is space, plus this sprayer need a strong compressor. Hope this helps. Kirk Giordano Plastering

As big as possible or the gas wheelbarrow type.
Can you spray over top of limestone exterior wall using that
Howdy Lejay, the tool can spay over anything. The question is, how do you prep the limestone and what are you shooting? 👨🏻🔬
Where can I get a compressor for this?
I haven’t seen you use this tool in any recent videos, all I have seen is you applying by hand. Is this tool worth buying?
