I’m a proud mother of two Marines. One in California, other in North Carolina. I truly believe Marines training starts at home. The support we give them after means everything. Grandson’s of a First Sargent.
@@princeangelobaybayan722 or do PLC, you enlist in the reserves and do college at the same time and it gets payed for by the marines, you commission after and you had real experience as a marine
Alex K. Commissioned Officer of any rank will alway outranked any enlisted member. However, experience otherwise 2LT will know better than to not hear the advice of those who serve
@Adeline Simmons nope, Mustangs that switch to the darkside start at the bottom as an O1E. Very few get commissioned as an O3 from the start. The only O's I knew that did that were doctors
Nick Reid hey I'm 16 too. I'm going to be going to OCS in the form of PLC when I'm in collage. I plan to go as an infantry officer and if given the chance go into force reconnaissance.
Nick Reid Word of advice devil pup, pursue OCS. Enlist as a reservist, and attend a university that has a marine ROTC program. That way, you have bottom of the barrel enlisted experience, a college education, and you’ll be an officer. Do not go active duty enlisted, and do not be an 1833. YATYAS

There is something about a Marine. Congratulations 2nd Lt., Thank you for your service.

THANK YOU MARINE FOR YOUR SERVICE I SALUTE YOU HOORAH MY PAPA SERVED IN THE US . NAVY
Well done Sir. Hope you're doing well in the Fleet, kicking ass and taking names. Semper Fi.

Damn that other LT is a straight up killer
a9653192 why do you say that?
wackedout13 did you not see his ribbon stack? Probably a prior Gunny or SSgt before commissioning
a9653192 you’re right
@@a9653192 Dude's got a CAR too.
Cyzuh damnnn honestly I didn’t even try to identify each ribbon... I saw a large stack and instantly went to parade rest
The CSM maintained tradition with the tap on the rank

How’s your marine corps journey going so far?
@@icecorgi1387 it went awesome man. I’m a communications officer now and stationed in good ole Camp Pendleton. Couldn’t be any happier with life.
I want to be in his shoes
When I was commissioned, I elected “save pay”, was SSgt in Vietnam . Paid as SSGt until pay caught up.
Always and forever Semper Fi Marine congratulations
3:10 Very motivated pat on the shoulder by SgtMaj
i hope that will be me in a few years..

I'm more impressed by the mustang LT. Got CAR got respect
Bronze Star AND a purple heart. Straight up killer.
All of them deserve respect….
I wanna join and be an officer. Semper Fi
Me too, I want to do NROTC in college
Arjun Padiyar i rather be E4 1st in marine then go to OCS with my bachelor’s degree it’s better to have that experience than being a newbie LT
Ice Corgi 13 lemme know if you have questions
No you don’t

Mmmm so your statement means what?!
Alex K. SURE! (Wink-Wink)!

Alex K.
Well e8-e9 ncos probably have authority beyond the platoon level despite having to respect the 2nd lts role
I also wish I was back on active duty.
No you don’t,, the fun times are gone for good
The 2nd LT that assisted with the ceremony has a s**t load of medals.👍
He's probably a Mustang (former enlisted).
Mustangs normally commission directly to Captain
@Adeline Simmons nope, Mustangs that switch to the darkside start at the bottom as an O1E. Very few get commissioned as an O3 from the start. The only O's I knew that did that were doctors
What’s up with the other 2nd LT with more medals than the sergeant major?
Probably a maverick - started noncommissioned.
@@donovansteltzner9080 We got ourselves a 'stang! Dangum!

And so another nugget is born. Simper-Fi brother!
make sure you wear your masks and get your jab
Can anyone who is not a U.S. citizen by birth be a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army?
damn that one LT has a STACK!
He has a medal for each PFC he's outranked lol
Good luck with the compass
i always, wanted to know how do you gain your commission without going through CO school? or do you? idk
Cristian Negrete you may earn a commission through becoming an LDO (Limited Duty Officer) based on skills and expertise in a particular MOS.
God bless you all
Probably a Captain by now.
who's your daddy now, grand old man, Herr Schwab
So is he o1 officer?
Anonymous Anonymous yes
He messed up the oath. Does it have to be done again?
Didn't he say many Instead of any? Or are you talking about something else?
Well done.
why did the guy say good afternoon twice?
Abdul Barbie Because the marine that was being confronted at the time did not respond
one for greeting, one for leaving.
Greeting, received silver dollar, then leaving. Its ceremonial.
How old was he when he became an officer
22.
