Hey the majority of the smoke was from the varnish that was on the copper windings that you were melting. copper windings from motors and transformators always have an insulating layer

A cool video! What was the set up cost, and how long did it take between putting the wire in and pouring out the molten metal?

@@oobasven8169 the machine and all the equipment cost 280 all together, it took about 3 or so hours from loading it up to poring, but I think I might have broken it after this sesh so I’ll have to have a look and see what’s going on with it.

On my 3kg electric I use a cocktail spoon with long handle, main thing to not breathe is zinc which is also in brass won't kill you but will make you sick

@@davidbliton985 I was looking ok’ing for a little my handled spoon of some sort. I did find a spoon that would m going to modify. I did my best to try and avoid the smoke the best I could. Did breath a little in but not much.

additionally i think you actually cast aluminum bronze, being a mixuter of aluminu and copper because de copper windings used in the large motors or generators are actually copperplated aluminum wire

@@miatoolway9068 I did notice that the coin molds were a little lighter in colour. Not shore if that was because it was mixed.
