    Thanks for showing how you do the roll. I'm just dumb I guess. Couldn't get it to conform to that rolled shape like on the website.

    It would be great to see the Stinger 22L stuffed with gear or blankets to see how it carries the load with each leg full too. I have the Reckless 40 (8 Stinger). You basically have a Reckless 54L which has me interested for those longer hauls/trips.

      Carlos Thomas great call! I’ll load it up and do another vid on that and do some ride testing. It’s been wicked cold here, hopefully it will warm up soon. Feel free to shoot us an email and I’ll let you know when I post it Hello@SourceADV.com

    Just got the same setup on my KTM 450, can't wait to test it out. Subscribed and keen to see more of your adventure videos with your set up.

      Awesome! It feels really sturdy! We just got 20 inches of snow in Colorado, so sadly no riding at the moment... But I'm working on wiring the bike for the Nomad ADV tower and getting that mounted, plus putting the IMS 4.5 gallon tank on. Videos should be up in the next month or so. Thank you for the subscribe! Feel free to reach out at SourceADV.com if you have any questions or anything like that. Cheers!

    Hi. I just bought my 500 EXCF and have ordered the Reckless 40s. Did you ever make a video with the Stinger 22? I can’t find it. I reckon that 40L will be pretty tight for longer camping trips.

    • @SourceADV
      @SourceADV  3 года назад +2

      Hey Mike! Sorry about the delayed response, we were just doing the AZBDR, good times! Sorry I did not end up ever doing that video, but to answer your question, yeah the 40 would be really tight, damn near impossible for any semblance of a complete kit (sleeping, cooking, extra clothes, layers).
      On this AZBDR trip I ran the Tusk expedition 54L kit and that was perfect but I have a very very small backpacking camp kit and I strap the tent outside the 22L bag. I think that is the key, get a very small stove setup like the Peak Soloist, a very small sleeping bag in a compression sac like an REI magma trail quilt and a very small sleeping pad like a Nemo tensor. That seems to buy a lot of space to have room for things like one set of street clothes, a few sets of extra riding socks/shirts, a warm layer, freeze dried meals, etc. so you can really have a complete kit.
      I think if you planned on doing lodge to lodge style adventure, where you didn’t camp (which is totally possible on BDR’s here in the states with a little planning) then you could get away with the 40L with no camp kit.
      Hope the helps man! Thanks for the question, ride safe out there!

      Which bag set up is the 54l. Trying to get a set up for a ride coming up

    • @SourceADV
      @SourceADV  3 года назад

      Reckless 40 and then buy the stinger 22 or give the Tusk Expedition setup a try with the medium duffle and fuel bottle pockets, half the price. Take care!

    How do you like the Stinger 22? I have the R40 and nomad rally kit. Thinking about going for the bigger stinger, I need more room

    • @SourceADV
      @SourceADV  4 года назад

      Jake Dillard it’s great man! I put high volume lightweight stuff up there and keep heavy stuff low and forward. It’s a great kit as long as your camping is ultralight and the treks are ride-focused versus touring focused.
      I just got my Nomad tower on top and am about to release a video on that install. Feel free to reach out if you have any other questions

    Hi man, I have the same setup on my 17' husky 501. Did you have any problems of the front right straps getting damaged by the exhaust? I have test fitted it like you did but I am very concerned the exhaust will melt the strap.

    • @SourceADV
      @SourceADV  2 года назад +1

      I didn’t, but I would check to make sure that strap was tight regularly
