You also ask me about my video gear, and here is how I pack my professional video gear: ruclips.net/video/3yeHhCC4524/видео.html I get a lot of questions about tools, rightfully so. I choose to pack my tools on the bike and in my backpack. ruclips.net/video/QCBOFn04gXY/видео.htmlsi=l1bzkkjn9ajL9V5w
You are welcome mate. This is probably one of the most asked question I get 🤣 And the strange thing is, I always learn something from others when I see how they pack or what they bring.
I woke up at 5:30 this morning, as usual, and made myself some coffee. While sipping it, your video on the R80 popped up-and it instantly made my day! Thank you for sharing it. The R80 system is excellent, but as someone transitioning from aluminum panniers, I'm finding it challenging to adapt and organize everything within the R80. I'll be reviewing your gear setup closely and might end up making a few changes to my own.I was one of the people who requested this video, so I want to express my gratitude. Now, onto my next question: ELECTRONICS. Most of my filming equipment is stored in my Nomax bag. Whether on long or short trips, I usually carry my MacBook to work on the go, download and organize footage, and back everything up to external hard drives. That's why I use the Stinger bag as my hotel kit. When I'm not camping, I simply take the Stinger with me when checking into a hotel. It holds all my clothes, MacBook, cables, and hard drives.Do you take a computer on your trips? How do you back up your footage at the end of the day? Do you rely on a computer for that? Sometimes I’m on the road for 30 days, so I need a more extensive storage system. Thanks again!
You are welcome mate. Hope you found it useful. I think one of the reasons why people have trouble to adapt is because of their old way of packing, and that they bring to much stuff. With that said, 80Litres is maybe not enough for everyone. But for me and my kind of adventures, it is plenty enough. I have a video about my electronics in the pipeline, but that will be in a couple of weeks I think. Keep an eye out for that as well. 🔥🎥
I`m leaving on a 5 day trip to Newfoundland this coming Friday on my T7 and I am packing my Mosko R80. It`s always good to see how others pack theirs in order to streamline my gear. It changes every time I pack it. lol. Cheers from Nova Scotia.
Always nice to see how other packs so you can get good ideas for how to improve your own packing. I'm an absolute sucker for videos like this, and I always pick up one or two smart things I never thought about myself. Cheers
This was brilliant, thanks so much for taking the time and show your setup! I'm a total noob and just had my second multi day moto-camp trip. I've really tried to find a system as you describe, but damn it's so easy to run out of space. Love that the whiskey bottle has it's own space with the essentials ;)
We all have been there, and we all had to learn, so just glad to provide my experience in this jungle we call adventure. Glad you found it useful mate. You really need to be specific with what you need and what is good to have with you. That comes with practise. Whisky is always with my. Nest icebreaker in camp as well. 🙏🏻
After watching some of your earlier gear-videos and trying it myself, I have become a huge fan of bringing a pair of crocks on all trips 😅. So easy and useful to just have them strapped on top of all the luggage 👌
I absolutely love that myself. It looks a bit wired, but I got into a lot of great contestation with people on camping, ferries etc because the way I strop my crocks 😂
Thank you Henrik, really glad you found this video informativ. Ooohh, I envy you that. I'm back at work again next week. but I will be having a couple of weeks of in September I hope to travel some. Enjoy 👏🏻
Great video and instructive too, thanks Thomas. Also it's awesome to see you carry 2 fuel bottles: 1 for cooking and 1 to warm up the soul 😉, well done! 👍👍
Hello Steve, so nice to see you again. What a fantastic even it was and so cool to have the possibility to learn your story 🙌🏻 Absolute legend and hope you are doing great. Any new adventures on the horizon? You know you have a place to stay if you consider these parts again ☕
Hi Thomas, current / thinking plan is to ship bike to UK in say March 2025 and ride south to Morocco and then back up Portugal/Spain then Denmark (family there) and YES ideally Norway / Sweden ... may see you then. It would be great to visit you. May see you then🙏
Good job on vid and packing. I pack somewhat similar. I'm still using older gear. My across the seat bag is 32 yrs. old. It has a large middle section and two side ouches which have easy access when mounted. I always carry my camping/sleeping gear together especially the poles and stakes. I've seen so many who loose or forget them and be a 1000 miles out and no Helleberg Hilton supports. Matt of Classic rides uses some good looking waxed canvas side and seat bags, 14L and 28 L respectively. Not a bad size. Easy mounting. I have the Giant Loop across the seat saddlebag setup for now. I used 18L hard or plastic side cases for years on my BMW's. The Nord is looking good. Silky has a knife/axe tool of interest. Chop and cut with. All good be safe, get those rides in season is changing soon.
Thank you mate. I do see that most of us adventure riders pack somewhat the same and with some of the same stuff in mind. And it also comes down to personal preference what works for you and what you see as luxury or essential. There is a lot of good luggage options on the market these days, and I'm happy to see so many get out and use it more than ever. Silky? like the foldable saw manufacturer? I have Silky saw for my woodwork, but on trips I just use a cheap one that I don't mind if get broken.
I use a similar method. I have the scout 25 panniers with the scout 25 duffel. I pack similarly, sleeping kit in the duffel and everything else in the panniers, 75 liters total . Great minds think alike 😂. Great video Mr. T, cheers from 🇺🇸
Haha, that Is true mate... great minds think alike 😆🙌🏻 I have an impression that many of us do or pack pretty much the same just with small differences. But there is always some minor tricks to be learned. Cheers mate. Hope you are doing great 🙏🏻
Hi Thomas, thanx for sharing this. it is ALWAYS helpful to see how other people pack. I know that I am always looking to reduce the stock that I bring by reviewing after each trip what I DID NOT use (and why). Cheers mate!👍
I think the only way to learn some of this stuff is to actually pack, see what you use and what you don't use and optimize it for every trip. And some like to have more stuff with them than others, and that is fine as well. You don't need to live like a minimalist on the road if you don't like it.
Love these travel packing spread outside. Always cool to see others gear, ser up and philosophy. Can be resonemang many times as well to reflect different type of trips. A Crocsy Skål Tjommi!
Thank you Tjommi.... I always enjoy these types of videos as well. So much to learn from other when it comes to packing and setup. I have picked up a lot of great tips trough the years. Skål
Try packing the camping and other gear without the bags. Take the tent out of the bag, the sleeping bag, the pillow,.. This way you save a lot so space. I forgot where I saw this tip, tried it and suddenly had much more space. Put the camping gear in the bag in layers in reverse how you will be taking it out when setting the camp. I always put the first aid kit somewhere on the top, not at the bottom of the bag. If you cut your finger for instance and you are bleeding it is much easier to access it. Hope it helps to pack smaller.
Just finished packing up my bags and prepared the motorcycle for a trip to Vestkapp with my buddy. Trip starting tomorrow near Copenhagen by the end of the day and returning home sunday. Fingers crossed for a little bit of sunshine and great views! Noticed your comment about tent. Two seasons ago i bought a Robens Chaser 3XE - its lightweight and packs down nicely. Enough room for two along with some gear. However I'm not sure how well it would hold up if its really pouring down, only rated for 2000 mm. Bought specificly for motorcycles trip and so far it have been to Norway, Sweden, and Germany. Can defiently recomend.
Going to vestkapp... I really hope you get nice weather out there. It is absolutely magic when the weather is right. Can be cool when it's windy as well, but yeah. Yeah, I'm looking at several options. It looks like most lightweight tents are rated in the same ballpark. I think it is enough, water tend to go of the rainfly really fast on tents. But you never know. Good tip, I will check it out. Thank you 🙌🏻
Very helpful info thanks. New R80 owner here, and still getting a feel for working out a packing routine, and this is great food for thought. Your gear needs are likely similar to mine here in Alaska, which makes it all the more relevant.
Glad to hear this mate. this was a highly requested video and something a lot of new riders can experience from. Yeah, I guess we have pretty much the same conditions as you guys over here. Cheers 🙌🏻
Haha, yeah, funny thing is, in the summer. up North, we have sun all night. But when it starts to get dark, early and late season, it is pitch black in the night. Bring a headlamp 😂
@Corey-pd3mi from my experience it Get darker at night the further south you travel! Norway have midnight sun in the summer up north, but many think it is like that all year!
Great little video and really useful. Over the years I’ve reduced the size of the kit I take but there are a couple of items that I can’t compromise on which are generally bulky. Some interesting tips and tricks though 👍👍
I have the same, yes you can travel with even less gear than I do, but for me it is part of the Adventure to make proper food, not that freezed dried crap. And I like to have as much comfort as possible when I sleep. It is not for everyone, but this is how I does it, and I'm happy with it. But with that said, I always find something to adjust until next season 🤣
So true and if I’m honest packing is part of the adventure for me. Next time I’m up your way I’ll give you a shout, it would be great to meet up and grab a coffee 👍
I have one, little bit too small for my liking, so I always end up bringing the whole bottle. And I know it is the least perfect place to have a glass bottle, but sometimes you need to risk it all 😂 And I make sure to always drop my bike on the side stand side 😂
Yes, finding an own concept of packing is very useful. And if you found it use it. As you said Thomas, packing your stuff always the same way prevents loosing or forgetting important things. Some years ago I saw a video of one these american guys who ride in very remote areas in the more northwestern parts of the US. In this video he unpacked his aluminum boxes and additional bags and things that were somehow tied on his africa twin. The video lasted lasted nearly 40 minutes and the guy did nothing else than take one item after the other out of the boxes showed what it is and laid it on a table. Compared to that you are very minimalistic equipped.
Yeah, some people want to bring a lot of extra stuff, I choose to bring a Mastercard if something unexpected happens. I don't ride around the world either, so I don't need a lot of spare parts. If I was to plan a long expedition, I would probably beef up some of my packing.
Hey Thomas, great video as always! Tomorrow my girlfriend and I are leasing for our first motorcycle camping trip together! I may have a tip for a smaller tent, I use the Decathlon Forclaz tent, it is super small to pack, lightweight and the price is really good to, I've used it quite a bunch and found everything works perfectly. Be sure to also get the ground tarp! Maybe this is usefull for you, anyway I hope you have a good day!
Hello, thank you for that tip. I'm currently looking at 3 tents. MSR Hubba hubba (new for 2025) The Big Agnes and The Nemo Equipment. Not sure which one to get, but I will take a closer look at the one you recommend as well. Thank you. 👏🏻
Hi, @tshansen/ Thomas! Thanks for another informational video. It's always interesting to see how other people pack their gear and what they consider to be required for a short or long trip, with regards to both to distance and duration. How do you pack groceries, potable water and some cans of soda/ beer in this setup? The 80 liters seem to be quite consumed already? Also, may the sleeping bag be compressed in a compression bag the same way as you pack the tent to save space? 🙂
Hello Björn. Glad you liked the video. Well, when it comes to groceries I pack it in an own back and clip it on the outside of the stinger, on top of my crocs. Water I have 3 liters of in my backpack, soda, beer or stuff like that I have room for in the side compartments (small cans) Yes, you can use a compression bag on the sleeping bag as well, but compressing it too much I'm a little afraid the down inside can be broken or damage so it will lose some of it's insulation capabilities. I got a much smaller tent now, so it will have extra room, will show that in a video later on. Cheers
Thank you for the recommendation, but the MSR is just to small for me, only 210 inside, makes it just a little bit to short for my need. I'm 200cm myself, and need a 230 tent.
@@tshansen How about 224cm of length? I know it’s not 230 but maybe it’ll works... If that is an option, take a look at the Big Agnes Copper Sour HV UL2.
Thank you for the video! I love seeing how other people pack for moto camping, and what they take. You seemed to devote 6 liters of the 80 liter capacity to coffee! 🙂 I carry a few Yorkshire Gold tea bags. I also don't carry whiskey and I don't build fires so that saves some equipment. I was very interested in the Flextail tire inflator at 10:40. I've never seen one that small. I did some research and the manufacturer claims it'll inflate 2 mountain bike (bicycle) tires on a charge and is durable enough to inflate 200 bicycle tires. A full charge might inflate a motorcycle tire to 10-15 PSI? Heat is the enemy of inflator durability and the longer run time to inflate a motorcycle tire might make this a single use item. I carry a small mountain bike bicycle pump and I think I'll continue to use that. It's lightweight and reliable but it would need a lot of effort to inflate a motorcycle tire. I'd like a very reliable high quality 40 PSI motorcycle tire inflator that's as small and lightweight as possible that plugs into an SAE connector to power it directly from the motorcycle battery but I haven't seen one that I like yet. I also loved the tiny Sea To Summit mosquito net at 9:40 (purchased based on this video). That probably means I should pack my Outdoor Research wide brim hat to suspend the mosquito netting.
Yeah, life is just to short not to have a great cup of coffee every morning when I'm out riding. I think it was only released a year ago or something like that, the little pump. I find it to be really good. I have both a small mtb pump as well, but this pump is really handy when you just want to put in 0.1 or 0.2 bar going on tarmac again. I spent some time finding that ultra fine mesh here in Norway, that is absolutely a must because those really tiny ones, they crawl inside normal mosquito nets. Really glad you found this video helpful mate. Thank you for the nice comment. Appreciate it ☕️
Thank you Brian, glad you liked it. Yes I can highly recommend you to check out Helle Knifes. If I would choose only one, I would go for the Nordlys. I got that one as well, that is much more a allrounder.
Water - 3L goes into my backpack. That is both enough for drinking and cooking. Don't drink beer, I bring whisky. I have my crocs on the outside back panel of the beavertail. Kamera is in my Tankbag. I have an own separate video for that.
Yay. Thank you! I was about to ask about that 😊. Fantastic I have the same mosko kit on my 2024 Triumph 900 RP but i planned to have a 2 litre waterbag in one of the pouches. Havent gone on a overnighter yet though but your packing skills Are awsome so will try to follow the boss 😊 How do you wash clothes in that bag?
Haha, well... it would be difficult for me to say yes, when you see where I place the whisky bottle 😂 But it is the only place I have space for it. But yes, I have that in mind 🤣
What about spare tire tubes & tools? I have 21 Brother side bags 2x25L (excellent, for the fraction of the price)+ 2x6L crash bars bags + 1 10L /15lL tank bag modified as top case on the back. This one I use for my caffe brakes, snacks & light items. Everything packed on my T7 🥰 Greetings from Croatia 😉.
Tools I have on my bike and in my backpack, have an own video about that. Sounds like you have a really good setup there as well mate. Best thing is to find what is right for you and adjust to that. Cheers 🙌🏻
Have you had a chance to weigh the Mosko 80 loaded with your gear?. I am just curious, because I ended up with 45lbs in a giant loop coyote before food, and not including my tool belt/camel back/tank bag. It is so easy to want to being everything including the kitchen sink. I have not loaded my new 80 yet, and like how you got it all in there.
I am always trying to improve my way of packing especially after my Alaska trip….. One thing is really missing here for me. Where your tools are? For me it adds a lot of space and weight.
Yes, Kriega has great stuff, same with Enduristan, Giant Loop and Adventure Spec. There is a lot of great products on the market today. For me, I pick mosko over all the others of many reasons. But it does not mean it is right for you 🙌🏻
Yeah, it is pretty much the same weight on both sides. I think there is a 1kg more in the left compared to the right. but nothing I can feel when riding.
Yes, If you mount it further back you should be able to have a passenger, but it will be a tight squeeze I guess. I use the rack from Perun Moto on my bike.
I actually got a great tip about Exped dry bags with valves. I will check these out and see if they can replace my old. Makes it so much easier to get the air out, and you can use the air pump to suck it down.
Awesome video! Did you weigh the packs for equal weight distribution on each side? How much does all that weigh? I have backpacked all my life and would urge you to check out Big Agnes tents. I have the Copper Spur 2. Light, very easy to set up, and packs small. I have Mosko luggage as well and it is an amazing piece of kit. Best!
Thank you mate. Yes, it weighs in at 25.13 kg everything. That includes the reckless80 harness as well. I just checked them out today actually, but it is only 210 inside measures, so it is a little bit short for me.
Depends on what region I'm going to and if I'm planing on wild camping more than campsites. If I plan to spend most of the time wild camping I prefer my Amok. In the mountains and campsites I take tent.
Ref your comment on using the flextail pump for deflating the air pad. I bought the same flextail pump that you have mainly to take all the air out of my Amok ultralight pad but it was unsuccessful. Is there a special way of doing it that I haven’t figured?
Yes, you need to put the rubber nozzle on the back end... took me a try or two to understand that also 😂 Look at it as a straw. you get air into it in one and, and out in the other.
Yes I’m well aware of that but it just sucks the bottom fabric of the pad up against the inside of the valve hole and seals it. It won’t suck the air out from the rest of the pad. I bought it mainly for this reason so I could leave the pad in the Amok hammock and roll them both together to reduce packing away time in the mornings.
@@shaunlowthian8540 Ooohh sorry, well, yes you need to take out some air and then adjust the pump so it won't such it flat. That happens to me as well, some time I just sit and hold it clear. That defeat some of the purpose I know, but in many cases I just squeeze out as much air as possible, start to roll it together and then suck out the last bit only
I’m hoping to ride from the UK to Nordkapp on the TET as soon as possible but circumstances keep setting things further away. Do you think September is leaving it a bit too late or is the weather and temperatures not too bad then? I will be camping.
Hi, where do you take your electronics and how do you charge while driving? I'm considering a Mosko moto, but I'm carrying a drone + 3 batteries, 2 cameras and I charge everything with a socket in the trunk while driving.
The blue one I got with the reckless 80 system when I bought it (v3.0) and the green one I bought at Biltema, not sure if the have it anymore. The big red one I bought at Sydvang.
You managed to fit all of that in an 80-liter bag? I'm having a hard time packing for one day in my 129-liter backpack 😅 Good organization is key. I guess we've both experienced spending too much time looking for an item that we can't remember where we put it ☺️ Nicely demonstrated, Thomas 🙌
@@HikingHansen well, i don’t bring a pizza oven on my trips, maybe that is the reason 😂👏🏻 organization is key for not trowing away valuable time looking for stuff 🙈👏🏻 Thank you, glad you liked it! Done quick and easy
Hallo Thomas, your sideholder for the sidebags looks very horizontal on the bike , what makes it easier to put on a biiger roll on top. Did you made yourself modifikations for a adjustangle or did you used position 3? I 'm asking because my mosko 40 has no angelchoice and i find the your positioning of the sideholder ideal. Best regards..
Hello Andreas.... There is no angle adjustments for the Reckless 40 as far as I know 🤔 only hight. If I'm not remember incorrectly. Yes I have put mine in position 3 so I can fit the 30L duffle on top or just have easy access to the sides even when the stinger is on. For me this is the best setup on the Tenere.
Hi again, main dude What did you use to get that click in fastner thingy on the back of the moskokit? No rear straps? How hard do you compress your tent in the bag? You use reinsfjell still? Keep up the good work. hope everything is good at your end :-)
The thing on my rackless is called a gnoblin, mosko moto sell it 🔥👏🏻 I compress it as hard as i can, put my whole body weight on it. Yes i still use the Reinsfjell, but looking for something that packs smaller for next years season
How do you do it when you drive past the camera? Do you set up a camera? You don't always drive all the way back to get the camera, do you? Or do you send the drone ahead so that it stays in position and then bring it to you? I hope you could understand my question. Best regards 🙂
I set up my Sony on a tripod and I ride back and fourth to get the shot. In some shot's I use the drone, but that is normally just in steep corners etc when I want to get the feel of being in a steep hill etc.
@@tshansen I always thought you would send the drone ahead and pick it up again. That would be the easiest thing to do. They are great videos, I really enjoy watching them. The music is a bit intrusive for me.
@@joe8363 Always nice to get people guessing how I do stuff. Thank you for the feedback, appreciate that. The music is really hard to nail for everyone, and I do understand so would rather only have sounds, no music. Cheers
Yeah, i have seen people struggle with that, but there is a strop you can losen and make it slide right in, and re tighten it after! The Kriega is a really good system to🔥 so you picked what worked for you! That is the most important bit

did you ever packed and mounted this Mosko Moto Rackless 80 in the ktm 790 ?
Thanks for a great video. Mosko Moto seems to be out of stock when you would need something. Out of topic question: Is Klim sponsoring or is the Krios helmet still worth in 2024 🤔
Yeah, they have limited supply and because of high demand some of the bags goes out really quick, same with their clothing. I'm not sponsored by Klim if that's what you are asking, and I'm on my second Klim Krios Pro now, but the best helmet to get is the one that fits your head mate. You really need to try the lid on and see if it fits you. Cheers
I just bought the Recless 40 with Stinger 22 and Pico Tank Bag for my CRF300 Rally and I'm curious to see if I can fit everything in. I'm a little scared after watching your video.
It all depends on what gear and use case you have for it. The Reckless 40 feels bigger than it looks. I have some extra room in my side bags so I don't use the full 80 liter of space.
@@tshansen I focus on ultra light hiking.Otherwise my equipment is very similar to yours. I should find the time to pack a sample. Jag önskar dig en bra resa alltid
Hello Nice vidéo I have the r80 and pack a bit differently, but everyone has its own way to do stuff You didn’t talk about any tools, don’t you take some with you? I use the 4L bags to pack mine Cheers
I do pack tools as well, but I keep them on my bike and in my backpack. I have an own separate video about that, so I did not include it in this one. 🙌🏻
Because I used the same tent for solo trips and camping trips with my family. But I just bought a smaller tent for future trips that packs half the size.
I bought some offroad crocks in the USA for many years ago. They are worn out now, but can't seem to find anything like it here in Norway. Anyone know where to buy offroad crocks?
Se the pinned comment in the comment section, there you will find a link to my tools video. I have them stored under the seat on my bike and some in my backpack
It is expensive piece of gear, but worth every penny (yes I bought the reckless myself) This is not sponsored by mosko 🙌🏻 I have had a few systems, but nothing is close to the quality that I have experienced with the Reckless 80 👏🏻
Yes nowadays a lot of things are overhyped and rediculusly overpriced. Especially in all the different the motorcycle scenes. I still use my more than 20 years old softbags and even older rollbags and they work for me at my still limited time to travel. As far as I remenber I payed for the softbags a lttle bit more than you pay for two of these additional mosko moto straps in their catalogue. And yes that modern an hyped stuff is better in quality and usability. But if it' s worth the money for using it maximum 20 days a year is another question.
@@tshansen seems like for anything. I don't know, I pack basically the same stuff in R40 with Stinger 22L and two 2L molle pouches. The difference being my tent is 2 person, I have more cooking gear, a tarp, but it just packs smaller despite being much cheaper than your gear. The thing I don't have is the thick jacket.
very good videos you make, but it's starting to bother me that you RUclipsrs are sponsored. Far too much of what you create is based on things that you are sponsored with. I really struggle with and actually trust what you say about these products. I much more appreciated the previous videos where you used equipment you had bought yourself.
@@runelien9052 the reckless 80 is bought by myself. Only thing mosko has paied for is my suit! You can see it is the reckless 80 v3.0 i bought back in 2019! And nothing of the stuff not one single item i pack is sponsored! Everything is bought for my own money 🔥 no sorry, the amok sleeping pad is sponsored but that is the only pad on the market that is long enough for me!
40 liters is enough. Buy lighter, smaller stuff and don’t pack your fears. You don’t need five days of food, and entire wardrobe, and you’re certainly not rebuilding an engine on the side of the road or trail.
Lighter smaller stuff is not always better. And since I enjoy cooking and make proper meals on my trips, I choose to have a bigger cooking setup. The only thing I want ligther and smaller is my tent. I have a lighter sleeping bag, but that I only bring when I go south in warmer climate. For normal travels, 40 liters is just not enough for my use with camping.
The mosko moto nonsense is much too heavy for a soft luggage solution... but they know that themselves and are probably working on something lighter. Which will probably cost 1500 euros...
What is nonsense about it? please enlighten me? I think they are always listening to good feedback and try to perfect the systems and clothing to the community needs.
Man you have good video quality, but Jesus you take way to much crap with you. Small example: What is the point in putting the thent in it's own bag, and after that in another waterproof bag, why don't you use only the waterproof bag. Also I sow you carry a hatchet, a knife and a saw. Do you really need all of those? Do you really need a 3 person tent, and a big stove? Just think about it. Think how much better is the handling of your bike without any luggage. What if the luggage will weight nothing? I know impossible, but maybe it can weight half or even a third!
Thank you sir. I'm not taking any crap with me, I throw that in the bin 😂 There is a good reason why my setup is like this. It is much easier to roll up a wet tent inside its own bag before I put it in the dry bag. Take no space and weighs nothing. No, I really don't need a 3 person tent, but I bought this for use with the family as well, not only my solo trips. Yes, I love to make good food and a proper dinner on my trips, so I need a big stove, same with the coffee... life is too short to drink bad coffee. Just think about it mate, how much better your adventures can be and how much more you can enjoy the trip with some extra luxury items. It's not all about having bikes that perform perfectly. It is all about getting out, on adventures and learn new shit. I do that much better with some extra stuff, than to little.
Hey try to collab or make a video with @dreamchhaser from India 🇮🇳 he will be coming to Norway🇳🇴 on his Northern Lights Odyssey trip on his motorcycle.
I will check that out, not sure if there will be any collabs, but if he's heading trough Norway I might offer him some assistance or route tips if needed. Cheers 👏🏻

@@tshansen thank you mate! Looking forward for this new video about 🎥
I`m leaving on a 5 day trip to Newfoundland this coming Friday on my T7 and I am packing my Mosko R80.
Great video with really useful advise. Thanks Thomas, I'll put it to good use next week on my southern European moto camping trip!
Thank you Henrik, really glad you found this video informativ. Ooohh, I envy you that. I'm back at work again next week. but I will be having a couple of weeks of in September I hope to travel some. Enjoy 👏🏻

I see a lot of people do this, but with my OCD I really can't pack like that, I need to have it sorted or else my head would explode (I think) 🤣
Cheers 🙌🏻
Very useful video. A lot of necessary things in a small package. 👌

"Head lamp is important" because it gets dark at night in Norway 🤔.....got it👍😊
Haha, yeah, funny thing is, in the summer. up North, we have sun all night. But when it starts to get dark, early and late season, it is pitch black in the night. Bring a headlamp 😂
@@tshansen😂😂
For those not travelling in Norway they can save space without one 👍
Great video, I would suggest getting a metal whiskey flask, so no worries about breaking glass and ruining your sleeping bag.
I have one, little bit too small for my liking, so I always end up bringing the whole bottle. And I know it is the least perfect place to have a glass bottle, but sometimes you need to risk it all 😂 And I make sure to always drop my bike on the side stand side 😂
@@tshansen 🤣🤣🤣 Just gets 2 or 3 metal whiskey flask, they are kind of “flat” better fit in the mosko leg beg!
You have a nice system. Thank you for sharing. Cheers!
Thank you Vitor 🙌🏻
You’re the only one I know that needs almost the same size of gear like me! I’m 209cm/140kg 😁
Haha, big fellow are we... you know all about the need for that little extra length with everything 🙌🏻
Thank you. 👏🏻
Great vid. Flextail Tiny Bike Pump Is probably what I have been looking for, small and flexible.
Thank you mate. Yes, the Flextail pump is really good, It is not the strongest of the pumps Flextail has, but small and good enough for my use.
Excellent organization
Thank you mate 🙌🏻
Cheers
Can recommend the MSR Hubba Hubba NX2. Lots of space and packs down really small!
Thank you for the recommendation, but the MSR is just to small for me, only 210 inside, makes it just a little bit to short for my need. I'm 200cm myself, and need a 230 tent.
@@tshansen
How about 224cm of length?
Appreciate it ☕️
Great video covering your camping set up! Love the knife. I will have to check there web site.
Thank you Brian, glad you liked it. Yes I can highly recommend you to check out Helle Knifes. If I would choose only one, I would go for the Nordlys. I got that one as well, that is much more a allrounder.

Can you carry a passenger with this bags set-up? Which frames do you use to hang the bags?
Yes, If you mount it further back you should be able to have a passenger, but it will be a tight squeeze I guess. I use the rack from Perun Moto on my bike.
Tom.. thx 4 the video. Are you aware of heavy duty drybags and racks by ORTLIEB and/or LONERIDER equipped with deflation valves?
How do you decide between the tent and the Amok?
That defeat some of the purpose I know, but in many cases I just squeeze out as much air as possible, start to roll it together and then suck out the last bit only
I’ve tried all those ways, I guess I just need more practice! Thank you.
I’m hoping to ride from the UK to Nordkapp on the TET as soon as possible but circumstances keep setting things further away. Do you think September is leaving it a bit too late or is the weather and temperatures not too bad then? I will be camping.

But if it' s worth the money for using it maximum 20 days a year is another question.
yup 800 us
Redmamut in Poland does a very decent variant of this type of luggage and it is much more affordable.
its crazy $800 us
This does not leave ant room to spare for groceries at all. That is bit worrysome.
That not ture, I have room to spare in both side compartments, and I have a grocery bag on top of the rear when needed 👏🏻
i would watch this if the title said "how not to fit everything in mosko 80". This is way too much luggage.
@@Zw1d too much luggage for what?
@@tshansen I totally agree. 👍
Cheers 👏🏻
