Same here, its a great alternative. I'm a huge Leatherman fan and if I can save a little money for myself, why not? There are hundreds of thousands of multitools to be had in great condition. I did buy my Leatherman ARC on the day of its release. Its the only multitool I ever bought straight off the production line. I purchased my Leatherman Bond and Curl new last year but at a discounted price.

I have a Rebar. Simple tool set. Works for me. My concern with the cheaper multi tools would be the tool steel. I'd worry about easily bending or breaking
Yes Sir! I have a Rebar, and a Rev. There is no substitute for good ol USA quality.
I too have a Rebar and it's awesome. I bought a Bibury pro for $60 because I thought it was a pretty good deal. I still want a Surge but $160 is a little much right now. I could buy a nice power tool for that much 😅. I will get one eventually before they are discontinued or modified by Leatherman or something 🤔

The other difference one less notch in the frame around with the plier backspring area with the NXT Suspension Clone, does not cut your hand as much. I have mine with the Swiss+Tech branding. Holds up, but after break in the handles started to separated due to the spring force about 1mm, but still no sideplay like on the Gerber, and not dented my blade as Gerber did after 2-3 weeks of EDC.
i got the hammer one for 14 ar one point almost kept it but ended up giving it away for christmas , i was just not a fan of the ferro rod , was tiring to think of a way to mod a 1/4 driver in its place. but once i was fairly sure i was getting my Arc i ended up dumbing 21 budget tools for gifts just kept my dl 30 for camping my gerber dual force for my truck. A ps4 squirt for key chain, sog and dime i switch between as back up edc. and retired my first edition charge black eod . thanks for the share Stay awesome!
The Arc is definitely more pleasant to use.
@@hvacbudget8600 now it i could only convince people how to use the cutters right .but that's hard to do when even leatherman gets it wrong. the blades are designed to be soft wire , hard wire, wire stipper you do not put the hard wire all the way to the back you can look and see the clear hole for the wire stipper. it could never cut just break the blades tring i was a electrician for years i know a wire stipper when i see one. and yes i know there's one on the awl but the one on the cutters works better for big wire and saves time closing the tool.
