Trains at: Milton Keynes Central, WCML, 16/03/18

- An excellent evening spent at the always brilliant station of Milton Keynes Central on the West Coast Mainline where we see plenty of services from Virgin Trains, London Northwestern Railway, Southern and freight from Royal Mail.
Milton Keynes is the busiest of the stations serving the city, there are actually six stations that can be found within the city but I really only count the three that are situated on the WCML.
Last year the station took in 6.851 million passengers.
The station was built in May 1982 so it really is one of the youngest stations on the West Coast Mainline, the station has seen a couple of redevelopments. Mostly this was throughout 2006 when platform 6 was introduced, this was to allow stopping express trains to use platform 5 in either direction. The other addition was to bring in a new bay platform with platform 2A. This was built for what extension of the Marston Vale Line, but subsequently this never happened and is now used mostly by Southern.
Milton Keynes has a bright future ahead with the introduction of the East West Rail Link in 2019.

You can also see more Thameslink Class 700's on the Brighton Main Line between London Bridge and Brighton.
They are on the Thameslink network permanently now from Luton to Brighton
I would also recommend for you to do some train spotting at Canley, Tile Hill, Berkswell, Hampton in Arden and Marston Green.

I love the fact that the Virgin services are cleared to run through here at 125mph it really does show well at this station, the building adjacent to the station is in actual fact the main station building holding the concourse and several offices above. The Multi Story car park is located to the north of the station, I'm glad you enjoyed watching this I always enjoy coming to this station whenever I get the chance.

Tornado, one thing that I noticed in your videos is that you say Wilsden is Wilsden junction I know it is a confusing one but Willesden junction is in Harlesden and is about a 2 mile drive from the actual Willesden I know, very confusing
To be honest I don't think the way in which it's pronounced makes any difference, if you listen to how the announcements say it on the LO and LU network it sounds very similar
I have no idea what mare means but sometimes people find it hard to speak you know.

London Northwestern Railway has several 319's available to them, they have one set running on the Watford Junction to St Albans Abbey branch line and then I think they have 3 additional sets to work on the WCML from London to Milton Keynes and Northampton during the rush hour periods
