I'm an American, never been there but I really think there should be tighter security & barriers between all guards & visitors. How easily someone could really cause a disaster to the horses, guards & other visitors. How dangerous for horses & obnoxious to let people put hands in their mouths & all over them! How has one not been drugged, poisoned or injured! There is a lot of time, money & personnel involved, should been respected & protected!
The quality of tourists is getting worse and worse year by year! More rudeness, more ignorance, more selfishness... They don't know it's not an amusement park? Disgusting!
Why do people have to get uncomfortably close, and keep touching the horses. How would they like to be prodded and poked and touched by strangers, who may or may not be friendly, for hours at a time, and not be able to retaliate! Stop it numpties. Get your photos at a safe, respectful distance!
They are teasing the horse whether they mean to be or not. Some even stick their child up to the horse. Then, they laugh. What terrible behavior toward the guard and horse.

Don't put your children alone under and close the big military horse. It is still wild animal ad tiger and lion. Chinese cannot read the sign in English.
I would NEVER pet something without permission, and even then, given the set of choppers, I would still be hesitant. Sorry, many of these clueless are not just from America.

Anyone ever told these tourists that the Guard is a soldier, with military training, who is protecting a Head of State while mounted on a horse trained for combat?. I'm sure the Police did, but It doesn't seem to register.
Everyone knows that you do not pet service animals, it’s typically written on their vests even, and if you do approach to pet, the owner will tell you right out, don’t touch, the animal is working, you do not distract him….yet the crown allows these horses to be mauled! It’s disgraceful, not to mention, sometimes just downright creepy how people touch them….they could have anything in their hands and drug the horse even….by allowing this, they have disrespected their own guardsmen, and turned them into a circus act.
