Hey Doug! You’re very welcome for the hats. Great job on the mini mercado, we thought it looked great. It was a pleasure to meet you and thank you for your helpful advice. We will probably be picking your brain more as we continue our purchase and our eventual move to Loreto 😀
Great idea. So convenient when you're craving a little something in your Villa. And, I'm with Esperanza. I think the stain looks better than white. Sorry Doug. See ya in 5 weeks!! 🙂
I’ve been watching y’all since the beginning. Normally on your videos you start out with, hey everybody. I didn’t hear that on this video that was not normal, but I love the show. You’re doing what I would love to do. Sounds like I’m making an excuse doesn’t it. 😀
I was trying to mix things up a little bit to see if anyone noticed or if it had any effect on viewership. I guess at least one person noticed! Look forward to come back in future videos
I just love following your adventure! You guys have a wonderful attention to detail for your guests. I really hope we can leave Bucerias sometime and stay at Pufferfish Villas!
What an amazing idea!! If I may make a little design suggestion for the shelves where the candy and bars are displayed... if you have them in a low tray/drawer like container, people can pull it out and not mess it up or drop things? Kind of like a cutlery size tray...plus you can stack more towards the back of the cabinet 😊
Coke has a virtual Monopoly on the soda industry in Mexico. You can find a little Pepsi here and there but it's very expensive and usually it's expired because nobody drinks it here. I have heard that Mexico is the largest consumer of Coke in the entire world. All the locals here drink it like water. In fact, I rarely see anyone drinking water but I always see people drinking Coke.
We were Pepsi drinkers before we moved to Mexico, but we changed to Coke. We probably shouldn't drink it at all but it's a guilty pleasure once in a while.
Esperanza wouldn't touch Coke before we came here, but if you are going to be happy living in Mexico the best way is to adapt to what you have available to you here. After being here almost three years we no longer crave any of the things from back in the US. In fact I just got back from Oregon and I was surprised that I really didn't want to go out anywhere special to eat. I was trying to find food that is like the food here! 🤣
Good idea. Lots of work but as you can't sit still anyway ... Why Not. I knew a couple with a BnB. The owner made his own wine (and was very proud of his wine). They also offered supper if the guests requested. He would offer some of his wine (for free). 1 group wanted to buy some and after much coaching he sold them 2 bottles. Long story short , they were police officers and he was charged. He did beat it in court but it was a lot of time and work. So in the tradition of No Good Deed should go unpunished, he never sold another drop or offered any at supper. P n D
you are amazing, congrat's ! Why don''t you rent your empty spaces to RV's ? The name "mercado" is for very big grocery markets, but mini-tiendita is for a mini grocery shop. Chocolates out of the refrige in a warm weather? :))
We don't want to take business away from the many Mexican owned RV parks in town. Plus it doesn't pencil out money wise unless we could charge $50-$75 a night. The local RV parks average about $10 a night for month stays
Daytime highs are usually between 95 and 100 in July in August. That's why the vast majority of expats here go back home during the summer because they don't like the heat. I actually love the heat and I have adjusted to where I can work all day long out in the heat doing hard labor. I actually feel much better during the high heat. I think it's because I sweat a massive amount while I'm working all day and that lets my body get rid of lots of toxins since the skin is an organ to filter out toxins from your body through sweating. Makes me think that a lot of our modern-day illnesses are caused by the fact that no one wants to sweat anymore.
Hola Douglas. We’re building a mechanical/lavandria Room also for our new home in La Paz. Trying to figure out how wide we should go. Yours looks sufficient. How wide(not C-C cinder) did you go.
Great job! You rock it at Pufferfish Villas!
We try! 🤣😂

I had a great time meeting you too, and we love that you are coming to Loreto!
Great idea, Esperanza 😊, rolling up the t-shirts will help them stay more organized, than just folding them.🐡🌴
She has all the best ideas!

See you in five weeks!
Good job! I saw Leo as you were taking the cabinet down to the store, 15:42.
Leo and Sugar hang out over by our fence much of the day. Our guests spoil them with lots of treats!
It’s Dec 30, 2024. Here, 80 degrees, that’s why we moved to Loreto 😊.
Exactly!
Looks Great 😊!
Thanks!

We live in the dreary wintertime NW. Good work with the mini mercado.
Thank You! I know your pain. 45 years in dreary Oregon.
Looks fantastic, great idea!
Thanks! It was a ton of work but well worth it!

People down here had their entire businesses closed because of selling alcohol without a license. They take it very seriously.
@@dooglassandesperanza So no wonder you did too.

80 in December, what is the temperature in July and August?

The inside measurements of the:
lavanderia - 3m x 5.85m
mechanical room - 3m x 1.8m
@ Thanx for the info. Helpful! Keep the VLOGs going. We enjoy the content. 😎MM
Missing Dr pepper.
Hard to find Dr Pepper here and it is not very popular so would probably go bad before we could sell it.
Oh, and one more thing. What happened to, "Hey Everybody?" If you missed a "Remember to live before you die" I'm OK. But, I need my "Hey everybody!!!"
I was trying something new, but since you are the second person to ask about it I think it will return in future videos.
