Omg sameeee. I was already about to have my braces when i graduated in elementary. I visited the ortho and they already measured my bottom and upper teeth. We litteraly went to a neighboring province (only like 5 hours away) to get the x ray. I was so excited but then the ortho saw that i have 2 impacted wisdom tooth and sugggested to remove all 4. And i cannot get braces until i get rid of the impacted wisdom teeth. And until now im stuck with my super missaligned teeth with overbite, and two high canines ಥ_ಥ

And the main reason I need them was due to neglectful parent and an bully who made me lose my adult big tooth and then the dentist had to place it back in since it was permanent.
I don't think it's ever too late. I had braces first at 22, and later clear aligners at 30. It was the best decision! The second time it wasn't absolutely 'necessary', I just wanted my teeth to be perfect. If anything happens I would still choose to get braces at a later age. It's a long term investment in your health and confidence too.
Hello. What do you say about edge to edge bite. I have that. Recently, I found out that I need braces. Is there another way to deal with this. Now my front teeth have cracks. As the dentist says, "Traumatic Bite".
I get so self-conscious around other people. Everytime i laugh or smile, i cover my mouth because i'm ashamed. And when i speak, I lower my head slightly or face the other side so the other person won't see my face. I really want to get braces for my teeth but i'm too poor to afford it. LOL
don't feel ashamed of yourself, you're unique the way you are. Don't worry abour other people's thoughts. Even thought now you can't afford it don't worry, sure one day you can have beautiful teeth

Dr. Teh, I enjoyed this! I am 63 years old and I just got Invisalign braces, I never had braces before. I want to keep all of my teeth! I will need to wear the trays fro about 5-6 months according to my dentist. I am very excited, and cannot wait to see the finished results! I was not aware that having my teeth straightened will actually help me keep my teeth!
I’m 47 y/o and I’m currently 2 (wild) months w braces. The worst thing for me was to learn how to brush properly (it’s so hard to use dental floss). And still hurts inside. I can see some teeth already started moving, and my first control appointment is coming next week. Wish me luck!

It's never too late to fix your teeth. If you have the financial backing I suggest getting your teeth corrected, the best decision I ever made and I had severe crooked overcrowded teeth for over 35 years.
I have had braces for almost 1 and half yr and recently (April) I removed that and let me tell you it's totally worth it. Before braces I kind of have a procuding jaw and I have small width and many teeth so the dentist remove 1 from every quarter. Just that and monthly fixation was painful but ice cream made it bearable. If anyone is fearing just think of the more confident you and your amazing will be smile❤️

👋🏾 hi! 35 years old here 😃 I love my gap (runs in the family) but as I got older, and since I’m a “tongue thruster” when I swallow, my gap has spread and my teeth began to buck out causing other gaps to form. So now I’m on the journey to close them 🍾😉🎊 my 15 year old son wanted some and now we’re on the journey together! 🥰I just got a power chain on my top and bottom teeth 5 months in 🦷 and man does it hurt 😞 🥺 but that just means it’s working…right? When i didnt have braces, i always tried to hide my smile because i have one tooth that was completely rotated to the side which was super weird. After putting on braces, it feels like a big load of my concern has been lifted bc ican smile w ease. @@althea9909 Have you tried going to a dentist for consultation to see if there's other ways besides braces to fix the gap? If there's no choice then hopefully you can find ways to save up for the braces yourself. Part time job, temporary job, chores for cash, save up your allowance. Also check if there's any type of payment plans and possible discounts at your dentist, if there is... you miiiight be able to use it to convince your mom since it's not an immediate payment bomb?

Give ppl the breakdown on professional diagnosis vs purely automated planning and on attachments, elastics, and other auxiliaries so it doesn't come off as just dishing on DTC aligner companies point-blank.

yes !! my face became symmetrical and my cheekbones are more visible now. you'll probably need elastics to realign your jaw for a more symmetrical face

I am 44, and I just had started my braces last Feb.of this year 2021, I have gaps and I've noticed my over bite got worsen when I start wearing my partials ( I don't have molars top & bottom), it took me 3 years before I actually get my (braces) coz my gum wasn't healthy for the treatment...I am looking forward to a good result with my long journey of treatment. I thought, I was too old for the braces, but I look on the positive side that we all have the right & deserve to have a beautiful smile & healthy teeth.

Watched your video 3 months ago and it helped me a lot to chose between braces or clear aligners and my dentist adviced that I could get clear aligners for the treatment and it's been One and a half month my treatment has started and not regretting by choosing clear aligners becuz there's less pain tho...😎

I was a five year old when the bully mad emy mouth hit the concrete which caused that to happen he was in like fourth grade too or higher.

Do you need to remove any tooth? Do you have any pain? What is your teeth/mouth problem before wearing the braces? Sorry to ask a lot of questions, I'm 25 too and I'm considering to wear braces. I have a lot of problem with my teeth. I have midline misalignment, impacted wisdom tooth, need to remove one of my broken molar and others...but I'm scared

yes !! my face became symmetrical and my cheekbones are more visible now. you'll probably need elastics to realign your jaw for a more symmetrical face

I’m 31; they gave me a 2 year time frame, but now they told me I’ll have em off in the year mark! 🥹 I wore my rubber bands the 24 hours, & 12 hours that was suggested for the night ones! So proud of myself! ☺️

I got my braces when I was 13 years old because i had a bad tooth decay and i needed to have braces thats what my dentist said to my mom
I got braces 7 months ago and my teeth were horrible... I mean actually horrible I had a cross bite and an interior open bite ( I still do but the braves gave me an exterior open bite too while they were fixing my cross bite :/) and my teeth were so crooked but it’s crazy what braces can do in only half a year

Absolutely ! I am 44, and I just had started my braces last Feb.of this year 2021, I have gaps and I've noticed my over bite got worsen when I start wearing my partials ( I don't have molars top & bottom), it took me 3 years before I actually get my (braces) coz my gum wasn't healthy for the treatment...I am looking forward to a good result with my long journey of treatment. I thought, I was too old for the braces, but I look on the positive side that we all have the right & deserve to have a beautiful smile & healthy teeth.
Yeap, you probably can if your dentist says you can! Healthy teeth & gums are key ;)

I started at 16 yo & for 2 years..it only hurt for few days after band replacement & i saw my jaw changed a bit after I finally took off my braces^^ also im still using transparent veneers but i hate it so i just use few times per week

Watched your video 3 months ago and it helped me a lot to chose between braces or clear aligners and my dentist adviced that I could get clear aligners for the treatment and it's been One and a half month my treatment has started and not regretting by choosing clear aligners becuz there's less pain tho...😎
