Honetly, I can think of anything worse than phoning eBay. They deliberately talk so much 💩 its difficult to follow them. Its almost like they dont need to breathe.
ebay still keep FVF if anything less than a full refund. So a partial refund at 50% still leaves final value fees on the other 50%? and most likely ebay didn't refund the return postage.. ebay can do better. at a minimum put a mark against the buyer's account.
It's great ebay is protecting buys but there also needs to be protection for sellers im not a seller myself but can clearly see there not getting the same protection

Sold a sealed DVD and got it returned because of "no sound". Tested it and it had sound. I'm guessing they watched it and sent it back.
