Oh yes yes yes yes yes a new project from Nick yaaaaaaay , you Know since i cant afford going to fashion school you're my savior Nick and you're helping me to realize my only dream. I love you so so much
Hey! I stumbled across your video and it is amazing! I’m only 13 but I inspire to become a fashion designer one day! In my school we have a subject and we design clothes so I really hope I get to do that class next year! You really videos are so cool and your energy is so bubbly!
You're so entertaining, Nick. It's neat that you're making a garment for your beloved niece, as I happened to have just watched a rerun of PR Season 2, Ep. 3, in which you referred to her. She's a lucky girl.
Thank you - Love your videos. Still waiting for your book from Amazon Uk. I ordered it last October and they keep stalling.... so looking forward to it eventually turning up :-)
i love these videos so much... my only problem is that im plus sized and i want to make a dress for myself but its hard to do my own measuring and such. could you possibly give me any tips to help me start my process? i know you said to do padding but there will be A LOT of padding for me 😅
Hello.. sir. I just love the way u explain. I am not a fashion student but I have this dought. How can you transfer this drapping to a bigger size or how to change the markings to suit a higher sized body.
Can you please do one more of this? we all know many sewing technics but we don't know how to put them all together. I learned so many things, and I would like to learn more. Thank you so much. God bless you.
I love your videos. 'Release and ahhhhh' 🤣❤ Ive been in the industry on and off for 20 years and learned most of what I know through working in the sewing plants. I do it as a side line making men's shirts and suits, usually from patterns or if I'm in the mood, from measurements. I've always wanted to know how to drape from a sketch/idea/photo and make a pattern from it, I'm already very experienced in sewing so that part is simple. Your videos have created the missing link. Very concise and in depth without too much brain frazzing. I'm more into men's fashion than womens, but now I may give it a go! Love your upbeat delivery 😁
Awesome video! Could you please teach about how to work with beads and lace on sheer fabric. What's the best way to attach these without making a mess of it
Dear uncle Nick, I really love it channel it's really help me. I really want to learn how to measure our model and what should we do with the drapping to the model's measurements..and how to take out the drapping fabric from the manekin?bcz it's alot of pins.. really need ur help🍒 thank uuu so much
Hello! I just stumbled on your videos and love the energy and attitude in your videos! I’m wondering why you are using a sharper to do all your marking... is it for the benefit of showing us what you’re doing? Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
yes, he mentioned that a few times in his videos. You cannot see a pencil in the video, but that's what you should use normally. Especially if it's not your own dress form that you could accidently mark with a sharpie.
Hi I’m totally new on making dresses. My question is how do you sew once you’ve draped on the dressmaker dummy? Would be nice to see how you do it. Thanks :) love your channel
ANDREW NEEL once the draping is done you need to transfer to the paper. Afterwards we cut on the real fabric using this paper pattern. And finally the pieces are cut to sew! I hope I could cleared it out for you. ☺️👗✂️
Dani Carvalho hi Dani. Thanks for your reply. But once you cut the real fabric how do you know where are the draped parts? Do you copy the marks from the paper? Sorry. Being new can be a mess on the first try :)
Nick, I don't have a mannequin yet so I do flat patterns when I make a deep v in the front or back I always make a dart of about 2-3cm and close it in the neckline so it would sit without gaping and cut it with the grainline going straight up like you said not to do ,would cutting it with the neckline as the same direction as the grainline eliminate the gaping without having to make a dart and close it out like I usually do?
It's really fantastic! I finally understand how we should do.What a pity that your videos are not translated into French. My english is too bad to understand the details.C'est vraiment fantastique! Je comprend enfin comment on doit faire.Quel dommage que vos vidéos ne soient pas traduites en francais.

What kind of fabric should I use as a lining for a chiffon dress? And what could I use as an appropriate "muslin"?
Rebekah muslin the fabric is very cheap, and they sell it at Joanne’s and hobby Lobby
Great work sir thanks
