THIS YEAR I switched to mint mobile to get away from t-mobile so this sucks so bad.
Same man, except I was leaving straight talk for like half the price
UGH, SAME HERE
Same! I had metro and then T-Mobile bought them. And now I’m gonna have to switch to visable
Congrats to him on the sale, but the users are totally screwed.
Only if they raise the prices, which they claim they don’t plan on doing
@@kylenash1461 and i have a bridge to sale, cheap!
yea he says they wont.... but i find that hard to believe. only time will tell. cell phone business is such a giant scam. apple, android etc imo all ceos, board members etc should be in salt mines labor camps for the rest of their lives on a legit ball and chain.
@@kylenash1461 they haven’t claimed they won’t either they just said they will keep the $15 a month one
@@arkcorps9138 oh God you’re right
I’m a huge Ryan remolds fan but honestly respect lost. He made mint mobile commercials bashing the big wireless companies and now he’s sold out to one
I don't like how they heavily advertise their cheap plan, but you know most people are gonna go for the cheapest unlimited plan which is like 30 to $40 unless he lowered it, in which case if he did, ups to him, but yeah he never advertises their actual basic unlimited plans
I feel the same way but I imagine he's been under a lot of pressure from these large unstoppable monopolies. Not sure why people want to be dominated so badly
At this point it's hard to tell when Ryan is in character and when he's playing it straight. 🤣
he's is always being himself in movies
🤣
Great actors often play roles that suit their personality.
That's why we hear things like "I see Denzel camping this role" or "Christian Bale is a better choice for this character than Morgan Freeman"
That is by far the slickest way to comment on that situation.
Yea he in business character right now but he is a business man 🤣
whole time jim didn't ask a single question to Mike Sievert that what are they gonna do with brand and all the employees.
They don't care.
6:30 he tells you exactly what his plan was with Mint originally.
7:45 he tells exactly what the plan is moving forward with Mint and T-Mobile
Time saver hero
Oh, if you Mint customers really believe they're not going to raise those prices....ok. Hold your breathe on that. You might as well have started counting down the days. In due time, we'll be watching some report with people complaining about how T-Mobile raised the prices. I guarantee it
yep, terrible when they bought Sprint. Finally was able to get away from them with a different company,
I'm waiting on TracFone going down the tubes still.
Not like you can't switch before they change the price right? 😂😂. The plans are super easy to bail with and thats what makes it nice
If you havent caught the irony of it all , the guy selling you affordable cell phone service as a partial owner has sold your loyalty to a giant of the industry , Walking out of a studio wearing magenta colored eyewear . The buyer didn’t need to advertise for these new customers , it just needed to write a fat check to a Hollywood Celebrity who Acts for a living .
For real. Ryan sold out like a MF. But he made a grip so it shows where the intentions really lie
So Mint pricing will go up now ?
You should pay Ryan at least 7 billion for mint. As a mint mobile customer, raise one penny on the price and I'm switching to another service.
Same I’ve had mint for almost 3 years
They'll raise the price. It's inevitable. T Mobile now has a 7 billion dollar bill to pay.
@@dwaynebuffin-dp9dpmight as well move on anyway. T-Mobile is just going to throttle the hell out of mint mobile customer plans to "encourage" them to move to T-Mobile proper.
Probably will increase the prices
Switch to metro pcs. Oh wait they were bought by t-mobile too.
@@rickybobby7276 monopoly
As a mint mobile customer I am not on board with this. The second they raise prices or force me to a locked phone I am out.
They always knew they were going to sell T-Mobile imo
Yup, it was a scam to get more customers. Mint runs on the T-Mobile towers. Higher prices are soon to come.
WTF! R.I.P. Mint Mobile☹️
We value our customers as much as the shareholders 😂🤣😂😅😂🤣😆 OMG that is hilarious
T-mobile will F up Mint mobile
Mint mobile is T-mobile anyways, with just more control over an experimental prepaid service.
@Zer01 I know, but I mean they have full control
You summed it up perfectly!
Monopoly. The price will go up and remoylds is a sell out. Why hasn’t t-mobile competed with mint previously? 🌞
He actually did he was forced by his masser and T-Mobile customer service sucks ass
Ryan sold out, I'm going to miss those commercials
lol
Me too
He was a minority shareholder.
He's an investor, he did this too with Aviation Gin. He remains involved in the marketing for that, and may for this as well. He's going to sell Wrexham AFC eventually as well.
I feel like T-Mobile just bullied their way in because people got sick of their service.
I literally left T-Mobile for Mint for better prices and now they're gonna skyrocket again
@@heroman2372 Same here, I left t-mobile for their data gouging, and waste of money for a 50GB unlimited plan that went by in the background. They bought Mint Mobile just to get back the customers, and money they lost from bad business practices. If they keep it up I’ll switch from Mint Mobile to something prepaid or otherwise.
I left Metro nearly 5 years ago and almost chose Mint, but went instead with Visible. I have no complaints. JS for those who may find they need to ditch Mint/TMobile (once prices inevitably increase.) I also hear good things about Tello. I chose Visible because I wanted/needed unlimited data, and it's been so much better than my Metro experience.
Just hope prices stay the same, just got my 10gb a month for a year plan in Feb.
I wouldn't count on it. I hated my coverage etc when they bought Sprint.
Not happening. They're keeping the lowest price but nothing else.
Start looking for a new plan when your contract expires breh
The telecommunications giant T-Mobile announced it's buying the budget cell service provider Mint Mobile
I think they bought Ryan Reynolds for his celebrity sales power.
@@damham5689yea he will probably start showing up in T-Mobile commercials
Thanks for uploading 👍♥️
Make one bad change and I will no longer use a phone
I think Ryan would do great re-creating the Rocket Man series from the past but with more humor (less vulgar language than Deadpool for younger fans)
Never heard someone says so many words but saying nothing at all! Should I call BS on this?
Is there a stock for mint mobile
if you are on a very strict budget, buying the same things every month sucks. If you can get a quantity discount and get three months' worth, then it's better and frees up your money on the months when you do not have to buy, for example, cell phone service.
I was about to say, a lot of the naysayers here are complaining about possible rate hikes. But right now, you can pay only $90 for a total of 6 months of unlimited data/talk/text. T-Mobile only adds a lot of value to that with their more robust network coverage. It is definitely the best deal in town right now.
way better investor than actor. good work i guess.
all about exit strategy....
sell out
Wouldn’t you for 1.35b?
The answer I want to know is how much did he spend to buy into the company.
What were people expecting from an investor? Did they not see him cash out of Aviation Gin?
@@reecehupfer2682 the problem is people feel lied too.
@@jaimep3432 if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is
Anything Cramer takes you to buy. Sell right then. He is the WORST predictor EVER
Ryan is fun. But…..This smacks of bait and switch. I switched from reliable steady Verizon to crappy mint because of cost…Once my 6 months is up, I’m going back. Show-biz is right!
Ryan keeps getting richer
I feel Mint Mobile should consolidate with the T-mobile Connect brand. It's nice that Mint is the driving force for the buyout.
That’s why T-Mobile bought Mint. To eliminate the competition for T-Mobile connect. This is how business works. Same reason Verizon bought Visible etc…
@Wango Verizon bought Tracfone. But before that, they built Visible Wireless. But I do think Mint should replace Connect. It makes more sense that way since it's really the cash cow. The reason Tmobile made Connect is because Verizon isnt allowing Tracfone to be wholesale anymore. So the connect brand was a response to Tracfone. But as far as Ultra Mobile? I really do feel at some point that they'll be consolidating Ultra with Metro since they is shutting down their retail stores.
@@wango556 and with Visiable you can get premium data and as if you had Verizons 80 dollar plan for 45 dollars a month. So what is your point?
@@evacody1249 it’s actually not premium Verizon but I feel you. That’s all I use is visible. Calm down bro
T-Moble also bought MetroPCS, that also used T-Mobile's network. T-Mobile is just buying up all their MVNO partners now...
As a mint customer I did not know this happened. I will be canceling today.
Who is your provider now?
Good bye low prices. Just got my extension for 360$ per year
We will see what happens in a year, I have the 10gb plan for a year
I might get the 4gb plan I don’t trust T-Mobile with the unlimited plan they will force you to go to them
I was just about to renew my year
If they wanted mint mobile customers so much all they had to do was lower their prices not buy out mint mobile. I bet you in the future they will raise prices even though they said they wouldn't.
The reason I went with mint mobile because t mobile cut my device off,I would not not left t mobile. If cut me off again I will find some else.
I had Mint mobile for the 3 month trial period a couple of years ago. Connections were so bad I had to go back to T-Mobile.
But how will this benefit Mint mobile users?
it won't
8:30 This is so true. Leaders make or break things. Ryan seems confident they made a good decision selling, so hopefully the future for Mint is bright!
Ryan Reynolds is a great person but at the end of the day, he's not buying a company for long-term to build roots. It's to make it better and sell it at a profit. Mint mobile will raise its rates within a year. He did with his Aviation Gin Company and he's going to do the same with the Wrexham football league. So yes Ryan does care but only for as long as he owns the company.
He is not a great person.
Hes a conman
And y😂u tools dissing a man that just made boat loads of cash in a very short amount of time while you still need sandwich meat every friday 😂
This is great for monopoly’s who likes to have choices.
You cant blame Reynolds for taking the money.. that was a LOT.
So Ryan sold us out. Damnit. I've been using Mint since long before Ryan bought into it and wanted us to believe he was a man of the people providing a great service at a much more affordable price than the big cellular companies. B.S. We would all have been better off today if Ryan had never became an owner and sold us out for a profit. Bet your bottom dollar T-Mobile didn't buy it to compete with T-Mobile. Wow. Hard to still like the guy anymore... Ryan Renolds, you're no Ashton Kutcher. (Watch out Wrexham...you'll be next.)
😂🤣 compete, dude. Mint pays T Mobile to use there towers.
I like Ryan's business prowess. Kramit is a loser, though.
Mint uses T-Mobile towers. This was the plan all along. They now have more customers. The big brands always buyout the smaller brands to create a monopoly. There is nothing that the consumers can do about it, just keep shopping around every few years for the newest budget phone plan. Not if, but when T-Mobile raises the rates, I guess I’ll give Straight Talk a chance. Oh wait, Straight talk was bought out by Verizon 🤨 See what I mean?
And Stright Talk was not good to being with an ways.
Very few MVNOs give people premium high speed data in the USA in fact I can count them on two hands. Six of them do. Visiable, Xfinity, Spectrum, US Mobile, Cricket, and Google Fi.
Four of those use Verizon. One uses ATT and one uses Tmobile. So yeah whatever you say.
@@evacody1249 So, you just supported my opinion on big brands creating a monopoly?
@J C 😂🤣 no they don't have a monopoly. MVNOs don't compete with Verizon, ATT, and Tmobile. But yeah go on not understanding how it works.
Mint mobiles whole appeal was that it’s diffrent then big mobile. Idk
Bru, I haven't even finished my year with mint. Maybe I can just buy 5 years and get locked in lol
How much did he spent to purchase a large portion of Mint.
the question is, will they retain the customers?
Ryan Rocks ❤
David Glickman - Founder & Chief Executive Officer - Mint Mobile
I was going to go from t-mobile to mint mobile. Guess I don't have to now.
So Mint is Big wireless now?
Just to be safe, I'll be looking into other mvno services
So much for affordable phone service-nasty old T-Mobile has to get their fangs in everything. I give it 6 months from date of acquisition before they raise prices and screw over the Mint customers.
We’re so screwed. T-Mobile is about to raise everyone’s bills and I thought I escaped these stupid phone service providers
very suave , Ryan Reynolds Mike Sievert
I'm sorry to all the Mint Mobile customers.
Where is FCC block merger?
Loving the magenta glasses 👓😄
Time to start looking for a new provider.
This honestly just shows people who he really is. He had the trust of his fans, convinced people to use mint mobile. Now he sold to T-Mobile and is cashing out. Remember he’s an actor he can lie and it looks believable.
Obey. Consume. Conform. Submit. Buy.
Straight to his Wells Fargo account 🤑
Can mint mobile please please add premium data to the unlimited data plan
R.I.P. affordable phone service
I thought there were antitrust laws against monopolies
Stupid t-mobile they could've done the same thing that mintmobile did. I don't feel connected to mintmobile I just wanted affordable wireless if t-mobile did the same I would've took it. They just wanted to buy the customer base.
MASHPEE, Mass. -
What are the Chances of Ryan & Mint Mobile going down to the Cape too Help Everyone with their Phone & Services.. To Show Your Stuff of how to "Get it Done"
People who live in Mashpee are sharing their frustrations and concerns over cellphone service that is so spotty in certain areas of the Cape Cod community that callers are not guaranteed to connect to 911.
One Mashpee resident told NewsCenter 5 said her calls to first responders kept failing when her mother had a medical emergency at an assisted living facility. She said her calls kept dropping while she was trying to read off the list of her mother's medications.
This is just so they can build Wrexham into a Premiere League club
Do you really think that T-Mobile is going to send customers to Mint...hahahaha
In my town mint Internet speed reach 900kbps amazing speed, and now with t mobol is about the same. Paying 10 gb per month barely I use 1 gb because the slow internet speed, Someone will refund me that? I'm gonna switch to Att,
Let me give you some advice, never have AT&T as top choice for anything. And this advice doesn't come from experience as a customer, it comes from my time as a customer service rep experience. It isn't the worst company but it isn't the top choice imo
Oh no, now Ryan needs to sell ALL of his companies before they fall to the Cramer curse
So the guy from T-Mobile, which torpedoed its own prepaid plans a few years ago, and doesn't provide low cost alternatives, tries to present himself as a champion of the little guy. Meanwhile, it's hysterical to listen to Reynolds spout buzzwords that he has no understanding of. Pretty sure he wouldn't know best practices if they bit him on the kropotkin. But the funniest of all was when he segued into talking about growing organizations in "organic ways." Umm, Ryan, mergers and acquisitions are the exact opposite of organic growth in a business. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Exactly. The fastest way to bring the interview to a screeching halt would have been to ask Reynolds, "So, Ryan, what ARE the best practices in the telecommunications industry?"
Americans sure are wealthy :-) Here in Poland T-Mobile charges the equivalent of $9 for 150 GB of 5G Internet, with free 1080p video streaming ...
Proud of this Jellybean in so many ways :')
Here is what mint is doing. They raised data from let’s say you have the 10 g plan, to 15 for same price, mint-t-mobile now, will burn your data faster making you think you received a ‘deal’’. See ya Tmint-mobile ✌️
Just got out of T-Mobile to change to mint only to get back lol
Well until they increase prices, I’ll switch to us cellular
What’s to explain? He wanted to cash in an get paid.
Now I can’t hope to see an ad jokingly telling me that Mint is going to be sold to an alcohol company that makes mint cocktails. Maybe he will do one where he’s thinking of selling Aviation Gin to Boeing.
Make it available in Canada please!!!
The intent was to always sell it. Everyone has a price
I'll give you the only reason you need, 1.35 billion dollars. Ryan Reynold, who may be a nice, didn't buy Mint Mobile because he wanted to rescue people from large carriers. He did it to make money.
Customers lose.
His commercials and RUclips ads all seemed sincere. Bottom line EVERYONE HAS THEIR PRICE.
My quality of coverage and service has gone down since T-Mobile bought Sprint
So the guy uses his wit, charm, and fame to build a massive subscriber base (I think they do 100 million or more per year) then he sells out to a massive cellular provider conglomerate. Yes, it’s business, but dang. Touché, Mr. Reynolds, touché.
I was thinking like a new top of the line phone maybe, but pink shades psssh!!
I left MInt last month because of rumors they were selling to T mobile.
I have MetroPCS and it was better before TMobile took over. The coverage is not great.
T mobile just acquired Deadpool...marvel won't mind
you can keep your magenta swag.. if I wanted it I would have had T-mobile
"Dunddler Mifflin paper company buy Michael Scott paper company " 😅😅😅😅😅
