    Great to see you again Mary, I purposely left your video until this afternoon, so I could sit down and watch in one go. I love your finished pieces, and all your stitching , you certainly have a lot. Looking forward to seeing your pending new starts started, I’m itching to start something new but determined to keep any purchased kits til next year, I stitch Mill Hill’s every now and then to keep myself from getting bored with bigger pieces. I really enjoyed your update, hope all the health issues with your daughter settle at some point , and your own too. Have a lovely week and I hope you get plenty of stitching in x

      Thanks so much Sharon. I have been trying so hard not to start anything new this week but it’s probably a losing battle!! 😂 I’ll feel better about it once I finish a few more things. Happy stitching! ❤️

    Such lovely stitching Mary, the Quaker Christmas looks lovely. Dancer in the hoop looks great, can't wait to start this. You did a beautiful finish on him. I really don't want to start anything else until I've finished something, guess we're all the same. You can't finish what you don't start! Happy stitching.

    Thanks for showing our beautiful stitching. I also stitched Quaker Christmas 2. Started it in March and finished it in July. Also started Map of Hawk Run Hollow at the same time. Will not ever start two x larger patterns at thr same time. I really just like to stitch on one thing till i get it finished. To many wips make me nerves .Sometimes i'll have a small going to just to rest a little on the large one.

    • @marysstitchingcorner8050
      @marysstitchingcorner8050  Год назад

      I used to only stitch one thing at a time. I do like having a few projects on the go but having so many large projects and not seeing as much progress as I’d like stresses me. You finished your Quaker Christmas very quickly! It was such a fun stitch. Thanks so much for watching! Happy stitching! ❤️

    Wonderful flosstube, love everything you’re working on - have a lot of the same patterns that you are working on or hope to be getting to stitch in the near future! I don’t think you’re alone when it comes to picking projects that are a bit on the large size, I find myself drawn to those too. Beautiful stitching….and bravo for giving the 40 ct fabric a try…not on my list of things to tackle. Take care and hope life is kind to you!

    My first time "visiting" with you. Your work is beautiful, and I have lots of WIPs myself. I don't have a set plan for stitching, so I just fly by the seat of my pants. I have a box full of finished projects, but not fully finished. I can't see 40 count or 36 count, and with magnifiers I'm lucky to see 32 count. I stick with 20 count Aida if I want to work on "40 count" pretend fabric. I've subscribed and will be back to watch again.

      Thanks so much for watching and I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I agree, 20 count is such a good compromise. I just don’t want to struggle through a project, it’s supposed to be fun!! So once A Perfect World is finished I probably won’t use 40 count again. Thanks again for watching and happy stitching! ❤️

    I was thinking of you and then your video popped up. Catching up watching everyone. Your flat fold looked great. I have Sue Hillis’ booklet for making flat folds/easels. Once you make a few more you’ll see how easy it gets. Loved your FFOs and finishes. Lots of stitching done, good for you. Hugs, I know life has been stressful. Hopefully everything will calm down.

    I am so happy to see a video from you again! You do some amazing work, so gorgeous! I am going to try the flat fold finishing method you talked about to finish one of my projects that i finished stitching last year but havent fully finished. I'd struggle with the 40 count linen myself so much respect for you keeping with it!

      Thanks so much for coming back again! Let me know how your flat fold turns out. It’s really not hard. I just needed to follow the directions more carefully. I plan on a few more flat fold finishes. I love how they look. Happy stitching and hope to see you next time! ❤️

    Lovely to catch up with you and your beautiful projects, you have alot of progress. Congratulations on your Christmas Quaker finish, it is stunning and a great achievement. I hope you are able to find a rotation that works for you and your larger projects. I seem to be starting quite a few HAEDS at the moment but still am able to work on all of them once a month. However if I add any more it might reach the stage where I can't do that and may have to find a rotation too. Sorry to hear about you and your girls health struggles. I don't know if I have told you but I have CFS and am all but housebound, so understand some of the frustrations. Thinking of you xxx

      Thank you Caroline! I’m sorry to hear you have CFS. My daughter, Katrina, has that along with POTS. I understand not being able to get out. With my health and anxiety I am lucky to get out once a week, sometimes not even that. It’s very hard. Thank goodness for cross stitch. It really helps pass the time. Take really good care. ❤️

    Your Christmas Quaker piece is amazing!! I have that chart but haven’t started it. FYI, you CAN use those flexible hoops for actual stitching, and in fact, they are my favorites!! Shiloh of xstitchmd recommended them and they are great. You can pull the fabric to make it tighter. They do not hold fabric as tightly as my other favorite hoops (which are rigid plastic) BUT I have arthritis in my hands and the flexible hoops are so much easier to take off and put on. Totally worth it for me.

      Thanks so much for letting me know that those hoops do work for stitching. I have arthritis in my hands too but so far I’ve been ok with regular hoops and qsnaps. It’s good to know that the other hoops are an option. Happy stitching! ❤️
