NJMP Thunderbolt PCA Club Race • Aug 15th, 2020 • Sprint Race #2 • 2016 GT3 Cup GTC6

Porsche Club of America race at New Jersey Motorsports Park/Thunderbolt Raceway. Running a 2016 GT3 Cup in the Spec GTC6 class. Overall wins in every race and fastest lap of the weekend. First time racing in 4 years and in a 'brand new' car.... lots of cobwebs to shake off but still an entertaining video.

Now that's flying! What was your fastest lap? 1:20?

Thanks! This was the maiden voyage of the car for us & we used the weekend more of a shakedown/test day.
Data showed mid :19’s to low :20’s… but I just couldn’t put it all together on the same lap! 🙄. 4 years of not driving surely didn’t help! 😂
Plus a very oily and green track with lots of traffic only allowed for :22’s Had a mid :21 the day before without as much traffic… but that was only based off the TrackAddict app, and it was having GPS signal problems from cloud cover. In my book that’s not really a confirmed lap unfortunately.
I need to stick a Solo2 or something else similar in there.
We’ll be back soon to crack the 1:20’s if weather holds up… I’m aiming for consistent :19’s but that might be a little overly ambitious. Biggest issue that needs fixin’ is the nut behind the wheel!
The 991 is amazing and surely feels like it can run in the :19s without much fuss!

Pirelli DH slicks (just their hard compound… unfortunately can’t put mediums on the front for this class)
