Okay, so Day 11 was not my best day, but in the end, I did have a huge breakthrough with my outline. That's something, even though it was a zero word day and a terrible hair day, hahaha. How are you doing?

This was so, so encouraging to hear. I'm 47k into my novel (not all of it NaNo) and I'm realizing I might be writing it from the wrong protagonist's perspective. Which means complete rewrite, maybe saving only a little dialogue. Devastating. But to know someone who has published so many books still has to throw out thousands of words as they work toward improving their story makes me feel less like a failure and more like this is just a normal part of the process. Thank you for that gift.

You say *crazy but we see *crushing it! I know it probably doesn't feel that way in the thick of it but you are doing amazing, while inspiring us as well! And gosh, I feel your pain! I lost a huge portion of plotting notes to a blue Gatorade this summer! Ah motherhood! Sending you all the good vibes to keep going! 💖

Honestly, as writers, I think we’re all a little crazy, but that’s what helps us create, lol. It’s so amazing seeing what you’ve accomplished in so little time. I’m just so thankful that as I get further into my series I’m finding those problem areas sooner, though I know I’ll be struggling when I start editing the first novella. Thanks so much for these videos and the inspiration you give us!

Evie and Cade would have so much fun together being daredevils. They would probably give us both heart attacks though! You need one of those plexiglass writing boards at the new house. It would be so cute and useful. You could stick all your washi and post it notes to it and write on it with dry erase! Happy writing! You can do this!

Great video Sarra. I can echo everyone else, that this is just what I needed to hear. I can so relate to Andrew's water spill and what you went through. I was a single mom from pregnancy on, and I had more of those kinds of events than I would like to remember. (My son just turned 23). I also agree with you that you need to take your own advice. I have had a couple of down days since the first. I have had days when the words flowed freely, and days like the last two where I just wasn't feeling it. As I read all of these comments and reflected, I thought about how hard we all push ourselves, and the fact that 'life' is just not about being 'on' 100% of the time. Right now, in most of the eastern and midwest states, the leaves are turning and it's fall. The fact is, the leaves are dying and the trees and plants are going into hibernation for the Winter. The trees are not dying, they are going 'dormant' to store their energy in their roots for the season, so they can come back strong in the spring. Life ebbs and flows. We need to cut ourselves some slack when we have a down day, because every day is not down. We can come back the next day stronger than we were the day before. There can't be a Spring and Summer without Fall and Winter. You can do this Sarra! Everyone can do this! We just need to remember that 'we can do this!' Love you, and you are the best! :)

Holy Cow, lady. Loving the behind-the-scenes peek in these vlogs. The pressure has to be unbelievable for you right now, but this is soooo inspiring to watch! I'm currently finishing the draft of Book/Volume one of the webseries I started and I had a similar 'stuck moment'. Before I hit my epiphany I thought I thought I knew what was going on in my story, but I was wrong. My characters had to sit me down and straighten me out. So now it's turning into a multi-book MONSTER (in the best way), lol. Cheering you in on in the eleventh hour while also balancing all the life things!

Love your nano diaries! I started bingeing them last night after watching your plotting series (which was incredibly helpful! I always thought I was a discovery writer but have struggled to finish any novels because I would get stuck and overwhelmed with directions the story could go. Now I’m trying out plotting with index cards and learning structure. I’m finding a lot of comfort in getting organized and planning 😊)
Just wanted to say thank you so much for your videos! They are so helpful ✨

I'm so happy that I stumbled across your channel last month. I really appreciate your transparency throughout your writing process. I was beating myself up at the close of week one for NaNo, but you inspired me to keep going. I finished out day 12 with a little over 17,000 words. I feel your pain with replotting. I was staring at the transition between Act 2 part 2 and Act 3, and could not figure out what was wrong with the pacing. And just like you, I found I was stuck because my "I know this scene goes here" scene was actually much earlier than I thought. Well, that opened up a whole new can of worms. One of the characters that I thought was a supporting character wasn't who I thought they were! Their final scene in act 2 was actual the "B Character Sacrifice" in the finale! Which means that they were the "B Character" this whole time! And that cascaded throughout Act 2 part 2 and Act 3! Oh what wonderful lives we lead that we get the chance to remake our stories until they are the way they are meant to be!!

I had that same problem. This week I hit the three-quarter mark for my outline, but only a third of the way into my story. I stopped, analyzed the problem, and realized my heroes had everything. So yesterday was spent plot editing to take it all away from them. Now I'm back on track, and my heroes are as miserable as ever.

I, a Pantser, accidentally stumbled upon the wrong part of NaNoWriMo Tube. _backs out slowly_

Your husband doesn’t start minding his child until late afternoon there’s no way you can work full time like any other caregiver they wait to have showers until kids are in bed or early morning you spent more time working and minding your child then he did where was he all morning etc he doesn’t even cook and clean if this were the other way around it wouldn’t be acceptable
