Darwin Van life! Fogg Dam and Christmas!

- This episode is a pretty chill one, just van life around Darwin as we settle in for Christmas in the wet season, we have seen more rain in the last two weeks then over the last 18 months! Fogg dam was pretty cool but we are really looking forward to seeing some of these local sights once the rains really get cranking. Carols by candlelight in Darwin was a great experience, especially because it felt like the heavens were about to open up and drench us all!

Nice episode pity about your awning and it looked so easy to replace with just the two of you. Lucky you could do it between rain showers also lucky you weren't jammed in like sardines like some of the parks.

Watching this as a Darwin Local, and it’s both the most beautiful season (rain, green, growth, storms) and the most horrid season (heat, humidity). Early mornings and late afternoons is the sweet spot of doing anything out-doors - also when it’s raining😂. I’m sure you’ve found all the free swimming spots: Howard Springs, Lake Leanyer Water Park, East Point Lake - and actually the military museum there at East Point is worth the fee - lots of military machines to climb over for the kids… I also recommend the coffee van (Jays Coffee Bar) at the Nightcliff Jetty (only on weekends after 2pm), pull up a seat under the trees for beautiful views, and there’s a playground next door (Sunset Park).

We lived in Darwin for 3 years and while we enjoyed our time there we never got used to the brutal wet season. Thanks really enjoyed the video and have a nice Christmas.

Yeh, the onions were a little on the 'well done' side.... I think not doing the bouncing pillow may be one of my life regrets... But there is always time! In relation to work, it's nothing exciting. I am working for a large corporate based in Melbourne and working remotely. Very lucky to be able to work on the road, much of that is thanks to Covid lockdowns as everyone can work from anywhere now as long as you have internet!
