    Nice vid! I'm doing my own research to go to Darwin next year, and this helps a lot! Couple of questions, what are your thoughts on buying a car, or a scooter? Thinking about saving as much money as I can, and maybe moving in a bike or scooter. And do you know if it's easy to find yerba mate in the supermarket? Cheers from Argentina!

    • @BenjaminHardingx
      @BenjaminHardingx  2 года назад +1

      Ahh thank you Matias! Glad it could help you in some way 🙏🏽(: yeah having a car is definitely worth it bro, I bought my 4x4 in my first year & it gave me so many amazing memories while living here. Going out to national parks in the NT (outback & more etc) is so worth the investment. Also if you do, make sure you do your research on cars & what you need etc. I’d say car over bike especially if you’re in Darwin, NT in the wet season.
      Not heard of the Yerba mate im afraid, but Woolworths & Coles are 2 biggest supermarkets here, maybe check their websites? Hope this helps bud! Wishing you all the best with the research, give me shout if ya got any more questions 🤙🏾🌎 safe travels

    I will be in Darwin soon. I have no experience in any job. What advice you give me to do find work in Darwin easily.What trade I should learn from now?

    • @BenjaminHardingx
      @BenjaminHardingx  Месяц назад

      Hey Mohamed, thanks for reaching out! (: when I was last up there, there was a lot of labour work going on. For Entry level labouring jobs you just need a white card. Get that sorted online & then apply for labour jobs. Alternatively, the Darwin town was fairly busy when I was there, could get a job in hospitality as glass collector/dishy. You need RSA for glassy which is cheap & easy to get.
      Hope this helps mate,
      All the best 🇦🇺🤙🏾

    Hello mate! Would you consider moving to Darwin nowadays to do the 88 days of work? I’ve saw it’s getting a little bit difficult in other regions. Thanks bro, great video

    • @BenjaminHardingx
      @BenjaminHardingx  Год назад +1

      Hey Franco, yeah man I would! The whole state of NT is considered regional, I think you can do hospitality there too. Double check home affairs website if that still applies though.
      Also to note I was on $30 p/hr casual in civil construction, whereas on farms in QLD I was on $26 I think. Plus if ya get a site with a lot of hours, penalties too are great (alot more saving). Only problem with NT is the build up & wet season - big rainstorms, so that may affect your work!
      Hope this helps mate & glad the video could assist you in some way 🙏🏽☺️
      Best of luck with it all mate (:

      Hello there James 👋🏽😊
      Thanks for reaching out! Darwin was great during the dry season for doing national parks & exploring the city. My favourite places to live & work so far has been Gold Coast, QLD, Australia- I prefer the all round temperatures & coastal life 🏖️ I’m currently trying out Perth, WA at the moment though, may be a contender.
      I recommend Corestaff & red appointments for job agencies- they used to send me so many job alerts via text & phone calls to keep me working (: (Construction etc)
      If it’s hospitality, head out to all the bars in the city 🙌🏽
      Hope this helps mate 🙏🏽 & safe travels next month bud (:

    • @BenjaminHardingx
      @BenjaminHardingx  2 года назад

      Hello kontol siapa, thanks for your comment (: well if its working in the NT then I’d suggest working in the dry season for the better weather! So may- October. There’s alot more work up there at this time because of the longer clear, cool days. The wet seasons are tropical thunderstorms etc. Try get as many days from the dry season then work into the wet season for the remainder if need be. (That’s what I did with my visa days) 👍🏽 hope this helps bud, best of luck with it all :)

    • @BenjaminHardingx

      @@kontolsiapa3547 yeah of course! The work will still run just not as consistently during the wet season due to it being too wet on site! I managed to still get alot visa days in the wet season though with the construction work 👍🏽 entry level labouring, they’re always looking for people up there, the wages are better than farm work too. I could send you my contact if ya interested 🤙🏾

    • @BenjaminHardingx
      @BenjaminHardingx  2 года назад +1

      @@kontolsiapa3547 I was on agency with red appointments, google them they’re based in Winnelie, NT. Experience is preferred but not essential, it’s all manual labouring work so if you can work hard then no worries. White card is minimum requirement though, so try and get that sorted asap when you arrive in Darwin, NT! Search for places that can do it for you, (I got my white card in Melbourne, VICTORIA & Its recognised all over aus) and make sure it’s recognised everywhere in Aus.

    • @BenjaminHardingx

      Hello there sabita nepal, thanks for reaching out (: I didn’t see many students when I was there (was working alot) but during the dry season it was very lively & vibrant in the city of Darwin. Wet seasons a lot quieter for tourism, but work still seemed ok to find! Hope this helps 🤙🏾
