This car was never trying to be fast. It's a handling car. Should've taken it on some back roads and twisties to test out how good this car actually handles. Most people who own these cars (myself) don't think our cars are fast, we just know they can take corners like beasts.
@Chris Lunsford Vtec Isnt as amazing as its hyped up to be but i've watched a stock 1998 honda prelude keep up with an s14 that made 230(ish) horsepower
What made this car so great wasn't that it was exceptional at any one thing. It's that it was so good at every little thing. It was fun, sporty, economical, attractive, reliable and surprisingly roomy for a small sports coupe.
“Just because they hear a loud exhaust” I felt this on so many levels 😂😂 drove my buddies loud af 86 on the freeway and a mustang & Scion tC pulled up trynna race
You just want to reply to everyone’s comment bc you hate the integra that much? Your just a little bitch and before you can say it to me too no I will not kill myself
When I first found out I was getting a 2004 Dodge Caravan from my great-grandparents for my first car, I was extremely disappointed. 10.5 second 0-60 new, and handles like a FWD minivan. I knew I wasn't getting a mustang or anything like that, but I was hoping for at least some oldish sedan. Fast forward a couple months, and I absolutely love it. Nothing's more fun then throwing a minivan around a corner and hearing the tires spin, and being able to floor it whenever you want without being at risk of getting your license revoked. There really is something fun about driving a slow car fast
Can't understand why you bag on one of the best cars ever made. Mine has 284,00 miles on it and still is an absolute jewel. Getting the tires or oil changed, almost always a mechanic will come up and express their appreciation. People at work want to buy it from me. Play/raced a guy from work with a 2018 Civic si and we tied. Not bad for a 25 year old car (had to keep the revs between 5 and 6k). Handles incredible, super responsive, ultra reliable, to me a work of automotive art.
I have a Gsr Integra with a nice type R wing and a b18C that makes 200 whp n/a with a super high redline and if you drive One it’s fun car to cruise in and smoke new Honda’s
I think the point your missing with the tegras is that they arnt meant for a strait lines they are meant to handle you put this integra on a track thats pretty curvy track and it would compete with your mustang most likely you might pull on the straites but everytike you two enter a corner it will hug thr corner while the mustang will just want to break loose.
This car excels in the corners. Incredible steering and cornering abilities. Any car can accelerate fast but only few are built for sideways acceleration. AKA turning hard.
This also true of the TL. Even slept on more bc of being a fwd sedan and also being a Honda/Acura. I had 2005, 2008 and now 2010. With the j series, the tl's can be decently quick and loads of fun, and still handle pretty good, no they won't put any kind of bus lengths on something like a g37 or 5 series, but tl's are way cheaper and easier to find to buy, AND, a lot easier to perform basic diy maintenance, somewhat like the Integra. ( Honda simplicity and reliability)
This dudes sleeping on a Integra he doesn’t realize that the GSR came with 170hp and the type R with 200 in a 2000 pound car.... its quick and it handles a track like crazy.... with a little turbo or supercharger it will keep up with any modern sports car on a road course.
if thats LS vtec that thing is a hell of a lot more powerful than you are admitting it to be. proper suspension and tires help these a lot. yes there will always be faster cars, but for FWD honda the platform is absolutely there for a really fun autocross or canyon car.
I have a 93 ls da9. Im gonna b18c swap it soon and then slap a turbo into it, goal is 350-400 on an agressive tune and probalky dial ot back to 300ish for daily/mexico fun

Vtec was hype years ago when the technology for it was new. Now vtec is outdated so it's not as great. Its just fun because they were high revving and you get a nice pull when you ring it out, very race car feeling. At least that's what i gathered driving a 2zz celica for 6 years.
I drive a shitty little Cruze. It's a manual diesel, which means you cant really go wrong. I love it a lot, I plan on keeping it for as long as I can. But at the moment, it's undriveable because I had an accident couple days ago. Also, I'd love an Integra, awesome car.
I love how you can only get vtec in the minivan and hybrid now. The real performance Hondas come with dohc turbo now it spools ip way quicker and it turned me into a Honda boy and got myself a 19 civic after being a hater of them since birth.
i have a 96 integra i bought for 400 bucks that needed a alternator and 6 years later i still have it and drive it and have only had to do minimal repairs like a wheel bearing a cv shaft plug wires cap and rotor and a coil inside the distributor that went out right when i first got it. its def a piece of crap cause it has a bit of rust and i think a preivious owner drifed it into a snowbank so it has a dinged up door and some dents on the drivers side but for haveing it for 6 years and having less then 1000 bucks into it i think ive done pretty well. and i also beat the shit out of it if im gonna be honest lol
@@Me-eb3wv possibly, I'm more of a Vette and F-Body guy who's recently taken a liking to the 6th gen Monte Carlo but around the corner a clean Integra has been sitting for a few years. The integra and the prelude are my favorite Honda/Acuras that were made, followed by the S2K and RSX type S
