The great David Bromberg. Thanks for sharing this. I have been a fan since the early 1970's, was never disappointed, admired his intelligence and talent.i heard that he had retired from touring, hope not, but if so he gave me so much

I'm from Portland Oregon and remember the first Bromberg show I saw; it was an outdoor concert in the early 70's. He was with his big band, complete with the full horn section. I was just a teenager then, but it was so good. I've seen him several times since then and have been a lifetime fan. So happy he is active again.

I saw Robin Trower and Janis Ian open for David in the early 70s at the U. of Scranton. What an era for music.

David is one of my all time favorites! He played at 2007 Bonnaroo festival and was kind enough to sign my copy of a 1976 Guitar Player magazine that he was on the cover of . He also signed the set list for that show and gave it to me. That was way cool! Thanks again David

That nasal warble when he drops his voice just sends me. It's in many of his songs.

The story about no electronics was great. Saw Hoyt Axton in the Jubilee Auditorium. He did a similar thing. The memory is still with me 40 years on.

i got the brombergian experience at the rainbow music hall in aurora colorado. there were like 4 guys and they all would pick up guitars and then they would all pick up fiddles and then all mandolins there were horns and i think backup singers they blew us away for like 3 hrs it was amazing! they did a bunch of different types of music and everyone was into it, there wasn't anyone not into it, that is rare with all the different types of music. David and the band are showmen to the core!! we wore out his albums on friday and saturday nights drinking and singing along, i will never forget it! that's like 40 years ago!
