They're planning on having the same kind of co-op mode in Stormgate right from the start so hopefully that helps get new/inexperienced players on board.

Every time I hear luminite I'm reminded of Illumynite, a mineral from Zork that was used to repel grues. Fun fact: Return to Zork was the game that saved activision from bankruptcy back in the day.
I kinda wish the game had heroes but I like that it still has creep camps to give you little macro objectives to take around the map. Creeping has always make games more dynamic in WC3 than SC2 in my opinion and maybe even without heroes it can deliver the same thing here. Also like the little optimizations with the infernal faction, like the free units from creeping with gaunts or detonating your brutes when they're about to die so you get mana from sacrificing them and deny the mana your opponent would get from killing them. Game definitely needs a lot of refinement and hopefully some more interesting units and upgrades when they add T3 tech and the new race but if the open beta is like 6 months before early access that probably means at least a year away from full release, so they've got plenty of time to work on it. It's a shame to see so much negativity surrounding the beta when it's still clearly unfinished.
It's almost frustrating to me how derivative this game is while being so rough. If you're going to save so many dev resources by just copying, why not put those in to design instead?

Is it only me that feel all models; down to the trees or stones, either lack depth, width or height, or sometimes 2 out of 3 all at once? I just can't put my finger on it.. WC3 Reforged had a little bit of that problem too when you zoomed out on units, but here it's far more prominent and covers even terrain, elevation levels and ground..
Defenders disadvantage are good because they favor better players. If you are better you should be able to attack faster than your opp. It's gonna get scary when every ivi game will turn into base trade 😂
Defenders disadvantage should be impossible unless you specifically create it for some reason. Now certain mechanics punishing pure turtling is another thing all together
@@zachariastsampasidis8880 its not 5v5 game. In 1v1 mirror matchup being better/faster than your opponent, should be rewarded. In the other way you should be punished for playing worse/slower than your opp.

You could not even go for macro and probably there would be a 1 base all in which get played every round... soo i think thats a horrible idea. Being faster dont mean your better. Everyone can go for a 3 Rax All in in SC2 and thats one of the fastest, but... is it the build you need the most skill? Nope.
Real talk; would this game even sell in 2004? I feel like even SC1 has this beat. There's something off-putting about it that can't be described. Like mixing strawberry and chocolate milkshake in one cup. It's like every thing you see in the map looks out of place.
I fail to see how Stormgate is better than warcraft 3 or starcraft 2. It might be new, but graphics seem old and gameplay looks less polished / balanced. There also isn't any "omg" moments, timing attacks feels off, or it lacks the hero impact warcraft 3 has ... It's honestly "meh".
I'm not all in love with the visual style. and for some reason, I can't enjoy too much "sweaty" SC2 type gameplay (unless it has the visual impact and fidelity of what SC2 was/broodwar)
I like the infernal faction but vanguard feels really bland and doesn't stand out at all from any generic scifi rts faction either from a visual or gameplay standpoint. If the 3rd (and hopefully potential 4th) race is really good maybe it'll save the game, it's a lot more forgivable to have a bland faction if there are 3 or 4 races instead of just 2. Like I find space marines very bland in 40k but there are so many other factions it doesn't matter.
Thats just your subjective opinion. I for example think that aoe4 sucks balls dude. SC2 i like way more and Stormgate looks funny and plays good so far
yeah i agree warcraft 3 is a fake game the only real games is SC2 Arcade Mode Probes vs Zealots, and Heroes of Might and Magic V, grubby is just noob playing fake games

I’m hoping one day with enough practice I can hopefully put up a fight in these games. Played sc2 a lot but mostly coop and didn’t push my myself.

It was DoA from the beggining, specially since they went for the sc2 feeling. I don't see this game being anywhere close to TFT or BW.

I find it funny how so much people talk stuff like this yet this is the BETA. Warcraft 3 and Starcraft 2 Beta looked wayyy worse than that.
