fyi you can see the outline of Infernal buildings a few seconds after they start buildings. Once you know what to look for you can pretty easily tell apart conclaves (tower in the top right) and vaults (smooth geometric shape) as well as shroudstones (big spike) and farms (no big spike).

i've been watching stormgate games a bit.. but they've all been so... meh? less fun than bw is to watch usually. but this game was actually pretty fun! just as fun as starcraft is to watch ;D those green healy-bubbles regeneration rate is obscene, though. that one vulcan took focus fire from most of parting's army and was GAINING hp
The problem with hornets is that inf doesn't have a good counter vs them if van player splits hornets vs shadowflyers. If shadowflyers hit single hornets then the trade is just even and it's not good enough
the sad things is parting did EXACTLY the same build today in teh 10k tournament vs probe and beat him 3-0 even with probe trying the same defense parting just now has 7 bases while all inning u xD
Maybe it will change with time, but I am just not getting in to this game the way I've been in to SC2 since the getgo from playing Starcraft 1 before & all that. There are some games I can enjoy as a spectator very much, and I'm not sure this is going to be one of them. We shall see!
Would it be possible to get a clean feed of the game when you are casting? I understand that you are just uploading from your twitch vods, but just the scrolling chat is very disruptive. You seem to lean into casting Stormgate and i think that's really awesome!
I'm sorry but teleporting across map and any other mechanics that negate distance like that are just not good for RTS, it ruins map design a little too much. Like WarpGate mechanic, large distance should not be negated, distance is too important a factor in RTS to be trivially tossed aside due to a mechanic/race feature. Hopefully Stormgate understands this, but even most SC2 players don't understand how bad it is for RTS design.
So some players still get to play stormgate while the rest of us peasantss just get to watch? really lame lol. Just put it back behind closed doors or keep the beta open.
I mean they fucking paid to be able to lol regardless of how you feel about that kind of practice, these people willingly paid to be able to keep playing an unfinished game, and you willingly didn't. Can't get mad if you have the same option and decided not to use it.

Stormgate is getting easier and easier to watch as a casual viewer. Visual clarity still needs work but the last few patches have done wonders.

I think this replay interface really lacks some important information like supply, money, etc.

Van is so busted right now. Units are cheap, bunkers are super strong, units are super strong and also durable.
Having melee units be slower then ranged units is a hard sell. Why did people stop with the mass fiend stuff?

Haven't seen that much Stormgate games yet but Vanguard seems way better race currently 😅

Graphic fidelity looks worse than StarCraft 2 from 10+ years ago.

I just don't know really what's with those graphics....doesn't look like a 2024 game to me, more a 2014 one. How can it look that much worse than SC2?
