Heavenly Father did get me through it so I’m very thankful. I woke up after I thought I heard a noise…and I couldn’t go back to sleep so I search for some Christian lullabies and seen Handel Messiah I listened to it that night and it was wonderful, I did go back to sleep…everything seemed so unreal while I was sick..But God still rules! I’m still recovering but I’m going to be fine..

My favorite hymn--we sang it at my wedding, and they will at my funeral! Based on an Irish poem from at least the AD 700s, it is one of the most ancient hymns we sing today, rich in God's glory and goodness to His children. I had never heard this hymn until today. I watched several nice videos with it but this one brought tears of joy from the springs of my heart, soul, and mind, with all of their strength, in about thirty seconds. The Holy Spirit has been set free in me by the love of the Father in the name of Jesus this morning. It is such a blessing to have been found by the Lord God and be lifted above evil. All glory to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
I found it last summer. After driving a dying friend to a hospital soon after memorizing it, I was torn inside,and went straight into the Mountains for Solace. I found a place by a waterfall, and sang and cried this song out. At about the third verse, I heard a sound behind me. It was a mule deer fawn, bleating, coming right up to me. Thinking it was being chased by a predator, I went for my rifle, thinking to defend it. But all that followed was it’s twin, and mother. They started to leave, until I began to sing again. Then they came within touching distance,bleating. This happened in the Kootenai National Forest, far from people…..these deer were not tame. I believe God loves this song!
God does work through music..so many times I realize how I have missed Gods work or His hand in my life then I hear something in song that helps me to see How He worked out the problem…God is amazing!
Beautiful version. My year in January 2020 began with Pneumonia Sepsis and A1 flu . I came out of hospital beginning February then caught gastro covid. Spent the next 7 months vomited constantly hospitalised every other week . I cried out to God to take me but he replied with love and strength. Then two "angels " were outside my room talking about a Church tea. By now I could not walk or talk I had lost six stone and was living on water. Then God gave me "The strength of the Lord is a strong tower the righteous walk into it and they are saved" evertime after that when I vomited I repeated this and got through. God was with me and Blessed me. Thank you Godx

It was written in the Order of Service as ‘The Regimental Hymn- A hymn of St Patrick’. (I know the authorship is debated😊) It is still sung in 2023 😊 Soldiers remain amongst some of the most intelligent people, searching for answers to the real questions in life. I will pray for you Allison. I want to draw your attention to something. The very 1st thing mentioned in God’s word after the LORD’s prayer is about forgiveness. We won’t receive it if we don’t give it. Also the Bible says to love and pray for our enemies. It also says to treat people the way we want to be treated, not the way we have been treated. These are what makes us different from the world. The word also tells us to think about whatever is lovely, admirable, nobe, pure… When wrong thoughts come into your mind, make a conscious effort to change your thoughts to love for the lost and anything pleasant in God’s sight. Put a few Scriptures in a pocket size notebook and combat sinful thoughts by memorizing helpful Scriptures. Finally, tell your Father, you’re sorry for the unforgiveness you’ve held in your heart, tell Him you recognize that you’re a sinner too. Pray for who wronged you. All the best to you in this endeavor. I will be praying for you.

Excellent cinematography and vocal production. I liked the fact that the voice maintained a soft, smooth tone with the muted piano and synths in keeping with the Celtic feel. Reminds me of Órla Fallon. Would like to see some behind the scenes of moving that piano into location.

@@bettyrouch1833 Hi Betty, Im retired now so perhaps it has changed, but in my time at any official Church or Drumheqd service ( Remembrance Service for the Regiment, Memorial Service, Présentation of Colours, Laying up of Colours etc) we always sang Be Thou My Vision.
It was written in the Order of Service as ‘The Regimental Hymn- A hymn of St Patrick’.
(I know the authorship is debated😊)
It is still sung in 2023 😊
Soldiers remain amongst some of the most intelligent people, searching for answers to the real questions in life.
Our Chaplains did a great job and I hope that I was able to influence and inform folk.

I will pray for you Allison. I want to draw your attention to something. The very 1st thing mentioned in God’s word after the LORD’s prayer is about forgiveness. We won’t receive it if we don’t give it. Also the Bible says to love and pray for our enemies. It also says to treat people the way we want to be treated, not the way we have been treated. These are what makes us different from the world. The word also tells us to think about whatever is lovely, admirable, nobe, pure… When wrong thoughts come into your mind, make a conscious effort to change your thoughts to love for the lost and anything pleasant in God’s sight. Put a few Scriptures in a pocket size notebook and combat sinful thoughts by memorizing helpful Scriptures. Finally, tell your Father, you’re sorry for the unforgiveness you’ve held in your heart, tell Him you recognize that you’re a sinner too. Pray for who wronged you. All the best to you in this endeavor. I will be praying for you.

This is my favorite hymn. I first heard "Be Thou My Vision" when, as a born-again Christian, I was visiting my local Catholic parish. The singer sang it so beautifully that I was hooked right away. But, I never saw that singer again.

Excellent cinematography and vocal production. I liked the fact that the voice maintained a soft, smooth tone with the muted piano and synths in keeping with the Celtic feel. Reminds me of Órla Fallon. Would like to see some behind the scenes of moving that piano into location.
