Hey guys. This video had gotten claimed for a certain music, (not taken down thank god) so in my efforts to remonetize it, youtube's editing system really messed up my audio quality during like my favorite 15 seconds of the entire video. It really sucks cuz I put endless hours of work for that one moment to shine. So all I request from you guys is to bear with that shitty audio quality for like 15 seconds of the ending of this video. I know it doesn't sound the best, but there was literally nothing else I could do. I'm sorry and thanks for your consideration.

    Potential spoiler warning :
I love the fact that despite how it started they become quite close over their 3 year high school career, so much so that we see hinata discussing his plan about going to Brazil with Tshukishima. Maybe it's nothing major, but it seems to me that over the years they learned to grow & respect each other so much.

It’s funny that even though the show is about Volleyball, it’s also not about volleyball, from Growth, to change your style, and to even Trust as told today. This show tackles so many themes with the precision of a expert Marksman and I’m glad you are talking about it.

Hinata never wavered his trust in his teammates. Back in Junior High, we see that he trusted his teammates just like how he trusted the Karasuno team, even though his JH teammates didn't even know how to play volleyball, even when he was put against a huge opponent, he still trusted them, and spiked the ball. In the end, he still lost.

I honestly love Kageyama's growth - I mean as a creative person the amount of angsty stimuli you can get from this boy is phenomenal but also it's fantastic writing. The way Hinata, Tsukishima and the rest of the cast pull and push towards each other is amazing. Awesome video!

Like, hinata´s receives were god tier moments in the manga. The twins were absolutely terrifying the whole game, I remember feeling dread whenever they pull of insane plays "out of the blue" without feeling they were just plot devices. Kita and tanaka were god tier characters during this arc. Tsukishima was incredible too, the small details just like this internal dialogue or the dive in the last point. Even noya and asahi had their time to shine too.

This is it. ive finally discovered why i like your channel so much. you're a channel that makes me think "YES i knew that but YOU PUT THE THING INTO WORDS". That isn't to say you don't bring new evidence to support your point quite the contrary. The fact that you can pick up on evidence and articulate what they mean and the contributions they have to the character arcs you are focusing on in the video. These are scenes that furudate knows may not be explicitly picked up by fans (hence why all the tsuki scenes you mentioned here even though we are hearing him monologue to himself inside his head are still relatively short scenes and put him as a background character almost) they have an effect on our subconcious. Your channel is giving words to that subconcious impact furudate has been planting within us and why it works so well and dear lord it feels good to have these "IT JUST WORKS" feelings put into proper explainable words. Keep it up mayn i can't wait to see your perspective on future scenes so that i can articulate the impressions in my love for haikyuu even better!

I also see how Hinata COMPLETELY and FULLY trusts Kageyama with the freak quick 1.0, but Kageyama in some ways fails to trust Hinata in return. It’s not until Oikawa puts some sense into Kageyama that the latter begins to put more faith into Hinata as a hitter and develops the freak quick 2.0.

Part of the reason I love this anime so much is how it deals with its characters. When you have a simple plot like playing volleyball you can expand on the characters so much more opposed to a long complicated plot. That’s not to say complicated plots can’t be entertaining, but having a simple plot just gives you more time to spend on the characters. It also lets you expand more on the opposing team so when the main characters are playing against them, they don’t just feel like they’re there only for the main teams growth.

that's actually a great point that I never thought of before, Daichi even asks "what happened to Hinata at that training camp" everyone else just sees the results and has only heard about what was going on second hand, Tsukki is the only one that saw the whole thing so it totally makes sense he might have more appreciation and insight into Hinata's growth, even the other players at the training camp since they aren't from Karasuno they don't know his whole story the way Tsukki does so even though they were there for the ball boy arc, they don't understand the significance of it in the context of Hinata's wider arc, Tsukki is the only one with a more complete perspective on Hinata's growth.

I love watching these "character understanding" videos of haikyu, since I love this series a little too much and I'm glad I subscribed bcoz u brought into light such an underrated dichotomy...it is a breath of fresh air from videos that are just copying one another on the obvious highlight moments and making 30 min long videos...hence this is a nice one 👏
Edit: So I just wanted to share my reason for falling in love with this series....
So since I was a teenager I had insecurities about myself but rather than overcoming them due to certain environment I ended up giving into them and they grew to such a point that I got general anxiety and due to that I had my first panic attack this year on my birthday and the next day I resigned from my job and then ofcourse I went to a therapist but a bit later than I should have, potentially bcoz of the anxiety as I just didn't want to step outside of my house but ofcourse that is where I got diagnosed with anxiety so people you should really be talking to a therapist time to time, it keeps mental health in check.
So the reason why I love haikyu and it's MC so much....Season 4 Episode 3....when hinata comes out of the storage...u see we all know that hinata is short and it's unfair, it feels unfair since he can't do anything about his height but what I realised in that episode was that he never says "why"....like why is this happening, why me and all these which is what a normal person would do at first but he only says "what"....'what is it that only I can do, think about it, what can you do' and he comes up nothing but rather than stopping right there bcoz he didn't get an answer on the spot, he starts looking for it, " because sometimes you won't get the answer right away and maybe not in sometime but you need to always be looking for it because then only you'll find" that moment was when I compared myself to hinata bcoz I've always said why to myself and just pitied myself and it all spiralled into such big problems, I just had to replace the why with the what because as my favourite senpai once said "Even if you're average, do you have time to waste" and I wasted so much of my time on dwelling and this episode just opened and changed my perspective completely.
I hope you make a video on it, it changed my perspective a complete 180°.... 🙏

This isn’t meant to say you’re wrong in any way, it is just my interpretation or the feeling I got.
In my opinion it isn’t Hinata’s trust in kageyama that allows him to do the freak quick. It’s his own delusion, or in this case trust, that the ball will always come to him. This is what also allows him to be a ‘epic decoy’. Over time I think his trust in kageyama is what allows them to grow as a duo and evolve even more,
Love the videos, keep it up for as long as you can 🙂

This video reminds me again that the manga ought to expand on (spoilers) at least the 3rd year season and how they captured the 3rd spot at Spring Nationals. They had just lost to Inarizaki in their 2nd year Inter-High, and Tsuki was then wearing no.3 and Hinata was no.5. The amount of growth between the two Inter-Highs must have been revolutionary.

I didn't feel that Tsukki respected hinata less before the training camp. When we first get a peek inside Tsukki's head we understand where his bitterness and resent for people who have so much passion such as hinata are coming from, but we also see that Tsukki - though is irritated by them- puts himself beneath them, and that tightened my heart and made Tsukki relatable to a whole new level.
I don't deny though that by observing Hinata during the training camp, Tsukki's trust in hinata escalated and we see that through him actively working together with hinata on the court.
However, Tsukki starting to see himself as hinata's equal for me stemmed from Tsukki's discovery of passion within himself during mostly the shiratorizawa's match.
So it wasn't that Tsukki started respecting hinata more - though trusting him is a different story- it was that he started respecting himself more, that HE leveled UP to Hinata, and rather than resenting his passion and just being jealous, he related to it, was inspired by it to put in extra effort and better himself as a player in order to stand on equal ground with hinata.

This guy deserves so much more than what he has right now. These videos are top fucking quality shit and the RUclips algorithm is hating on it. Get this man to 1 mill subs and I will cosplay as hinata for my maths final exam

just before I watch this vid... I think I know the EXACT moment this is leading up to. Hinata's receive from the inarizaki middle that tsukki just keeps jumping straight blocks against, like "hey, this is how this guy hits. you're used to it, right? i know you'll be there."
gonna come back and edit after watching lol
edit: ah, I think you missed something, or maybe changed the wording to make it fit a little better with the theme (altho I think it works great without the change)
not directly blocking suna was tsukki's plan the whole time. there's a flashback to the planning session with the team where tsukki says something along the lines of "if its 1v6, then that's fine", i.e i cant stop him, but we can. it wasn't because hinata was there that tsukki did that, altho i love that he trusts that hinata will be there, and all the points you made to lead up to it are 100% the reason he does. and also, it wasn't nishinoya on that side at all, that's where the opposite plays (daichi), and we actually see daichi just miss the same receive earlier in the match iirc. probably makes the pass at some point too lol, cant remember.
anyway, another great video. also love the pace that you upload these, and that you focus on the smaller moments that i love, but most people don't talk about. keeps me refreshed on the show, i don't need to rewatch the whole thing to keep reliving it :D altho i should go back and do that soon, its been a long time lol

      @HarshReviews  2 года назад +1

Thanks for pointing that out! I had no clue about the Daichi part so I appreciate you letting me know I’ll keep it in mind. For the part that I missed, I wanted to focus on the dynamic of the two and tsukki’s mindset regarding that. You’re completely right though, Tsukki does plan it and trusts the whole team for it!

Not sure this has been mentioned before, but I really like your titles. It perfectly describes the entire video in one phrase(Like the "Taking an extra step"). This channel will explode soon, just wait!(also, have you thought about making a video about Oikawa? I personally can relate to his inferiority complex to kageyama along with the jealousy, and the long set he did in the final point is my favorite scene. Oikawa's arc shows how talent isnt everything, and its hard work. Atsumu Miya is a living example to this. Anyways, this is just an idea.).

Late to the party but I was honestly half-expecting a certain scene to be discussed as well considering the topic. I do understand why it didn't, though, considering it doesn't directly involve these two characters.

Yknow i just thought about this, if osamu and atsumu didn't dye their hair they would be pretty much identical when on a court where you're too focused on a ball and not on the players' physical looks. Imagine the kind of ridiculous shit they could pull with identical twins.
*Ball is flying to the court, first pass is not done yet*
*Twins begin moving before the ball is received*
    *In tsukki voice*
"Is that atsumu? Or osamu? Which one is tossing? Which one is spiking?"
    *One jumps*
"That one is atsumu! He's going to set!"
And while everyone is ficused on "atsumu" waiting to see who he's going to set to, the ball suddenly flies towards "atsumu" from the other side of the court, and they realize too late that the person they thought was going to set is about to spike, causing their blocks to be a second too late.
    *Miya twins voices*
    "Miya twin switch!"
Idk, it's probabaly unrealistic but i think it would've been cool
