Second the shit out of this, it wanders Into post hardcore which makes perfect sense (imo anyway) and has just an incredibly unique and almost scifi vibe it's so ahead it's time. Hell inner bishop on Amery/Zacks part sounds more akin to a Pinback song 10+years off. It's wild. Chenjesu is sick, honestly I'm not naming anything else cus you should just sit down and listen to it all...
@@zombockerman uh, what? I love pinback but 3mp pre dates them. Also rob crow's previous bands he was in, thingy and heavy vegetable, since you seem to have your timeline askew.
I'ma add the fucking dude ages well too lol .. kinda wild. I saw this and thought you must be pre reunion then they panned to pall and I was like jesus. Does Zack spend his time off stage in a fucking time capsule...
Some good titles spelling there at the end. Wish they played inner bishop, chenjesu or even planets or same mistake off the new album. Im happy to hear any chief assassin tho ngl.
Back in 93 this was my favorite band. First two albums were the best. Bass is way too quiet in this mix. Loved seeing them live at the Soul Kitchen. They even played the elks lodge in Poway at some point which was unbelievable.
David Serkland Is there member overlap between them? Was a fan of TMP and BHP in 99-2001 or something but didn’t know there was a connection. I can see it though. It’s gotta be the vocals.
@@youngcansuela8327 wow, I didn’t see this response until 4 years later. yes, Paul who is singing this song started The Black Heart Procession after 3 mile pilot broke up.
Chief Assassin To The Sinister. If you haven’t heard it. You outta. It’s unbelievable. Still one of the most unique albums ever put to tape.

Man it really is rad to hear songs from that era played with this kinda live production value. Also my God is Zack always on point..
Zach, best & most creative bass player ever
Zach is much better than Flea, and I like Flea too : p
Hands down- His style is flat out amazing...
I hate to pick faves or anything but sure he's good, really forged his own sound. Does remind me in a way of old Eric Avery bass lines.
@@moogibeans9822 very close, but I would vote Zach
never heard of geddy? les?
I remember seeing these dudes at the World Beat Center here in SD in the early 90's. One of the best nights of my life.
One of my favorite bands ever
I'm pretty convinced that just about all of their songs tie back to gnosticism.
I own every album they ever put out. Seen these guys play a few times in San Diego and this bad was one of San Diego’s best kept secret!
I love it. I will always love Pinback and 3 Mile Pilot's stuff. Any news on any concerts related to either two?
So incredibly under-known, especially The Chief Assassin to the Sinister.
that performance of the longest day is amazing
They were always the most innovative band. Underrated. ❤✌
jackie Starr pinback did it first
@@zombockerman 3MP existed before Pinback. Was Zachs band before Pinback.
@@moogibeans9822 no shit? Had no clue, thanks
@@moogibeans9822 yes, I got that

quarantine got me finding awesome under bands
The bassist has two other bands, Pinback and Systems Officer, if you liked him here, be sure to check out his other bands, too
Zach is THAT Dude.
The bassist from portraits of past showed me this band
What a performance!
this is ridiculously good
So are you
Yeah, pinback is very much Zach
Mix the bass higher. constant fucking issue. The bass is so important in this band too.
I can hear it well but agree
Long live anything and everything Pall Jenkins and Co. decide to touch.
Глубоко! Спасибо!
Love 3mp
damn good!
TMP is great, so is Systems officer.. Pinback is my only catharsis though
Zach is a beast.

I miss The Black Heart 🖤 Procession

Tobias Nathaniel, who plays the keyboards in 3mp, also plays on TBP! And the Bassist for 3mp played in Pinback.
still playing on the same drum heads for 27 years
Shann?
love this band, but cant listen too much due to heart problems
Pall Jenkins looks alarmingly like Vincent D'Onofrio...
ザクはコード弾きプレイヤー
I wish Rob Crow would harmonize instead of the other guy. This dude is boring.
Then go listen to pinback lmfao. Pinback is literally 3MP with Rob instead of Pall.
I like rob as a singer more than pall but pall as a guitarist more than rob
