No matter how much my friends may be tired of it, the Allah Las are on constant replay in my house all year round. Their music just takes me away someplace I can't quite put my finger on. I really cherish these moments.
That place is called California
@@funkmasterandre In the 70s. You're 100% right.
SoCal garage bands, great memories rekindled by the Allah-Las. Laid back and terrific.
This band is so underrated
This comment is so overrated
I mean they didn't reinvent the wheel but idk how much better they could possibly be at What they do. Solid psychedelic garage rock
Why does this not have over millions of views?!
because people has bad taste
Still listening, still so sweet.
Just stumbled on this. How’d I miss this band? I love them!
Loving this bass loving this band
These guys put on an amazing show in Detroit where they opened for The Black Angels, really good with the crowd and came out to hang with people after the show. Great band, can't wait to see them again.
Im still dig this
Love this band
Saw the band in D.C. in Oct. 2012. Great show and got to talk to the guys outside after the show. Very talented and very cool.
Saw them on 11/25/19 in Carrboro, NC at the Cat's Cradle. Damn good musicians. Maybe they were worn down from touring, but wished they'd rocked on with a few more songs...were just getting going a few times and the song was over. Oh man, love to hear these guys just play on and have a blast.
Awesome. You can hear the early Stones influence. Tight set, would love to catch them live.
Back 60 s.Great.
just saw them, they were great
Hell ya! seeing them this Friday with my baby girl
Catching them next week here in Athens, GA. Looking forward to it!
You guys should have the Mystic Braves sometime
I agree
Needs some cowbell! J/k, amazing band, and I'm glad I'm found them on this channel.
Amazing new band!! The music reminds me of my youth in the sixties with my favourite bands like the Pretty Things,Animals,Kinks and the Stones.Actually my son Laurence (26) let me know about this great music.Keep on going you guys and more succes will come your way!!
Discovered them at FYF. It has been nothing short of an obsession ever since.
I like Allah las' sound. Very moderately paced surfy like music, but it does have a very dark imagery to it. I don't know why but I get sort of a middle eastern vibe to their music. The lead guitarist is actually really good and had some cool riffs while playing those chords.
I don't know where you get that Middle east vibe from, but ok. For me, it sounds like those California-ish travel songs. It makes sence, since they are from LA :p
just the name of the band, and overall the album cover just reminds me of a desert like place. I don't mean it in terms to be taken offensively! Im sure every things not the same to everyone, you know
winstor adams I know it was not ur intension to be offenssive. I was just curious about the middle east vibe thing.
Atheist Metalhead winstor adams I'm not saying I would necessarily use that same description, but you could say it's natural for there to be that "Middle Eastern" effect because the psychadelic influence would have a lot of its roots in the Indian/Hindu cultural cross-mojofication with the hippies and all
+VoxEOD maybe because a lot of surf music is influenced by the psychedelicy-middle east scales
they're pretty great! enjoyed this
love these guys :]
Love them!
Groovy little Rock n Rollas!
Great band.
Sound great live.
so good
pretty awesome live!
THAT AMAZING GUITAR TONE FOR BUSMANS HOLIDAY
Best Band In 2012 !
EPIC AND UNIQUE!
The lead vocalist so very much sounds like Johnny Rivers. Take a listen, I think you'll agree. I'm very much telling my age w/ said comment. Thankful to do so.
They are an incredible band! I just purchased their CD! It’s great to hear NEW ROCK Bands in this diverse generation of ours!
Sounds so much like mick jagger on tell me what's on your mind? Love these guys, come to Scotland " t in the park "
18:25 you can hear him miss goof up and miss a note. He keeps playing like nothing ever happened just like you're supposed to. Talent!
Elegant sound
Really diggin' this ! Thought I'd listen to a Alone Again Or cover vid and ......... I need to check this out. Sounding great!
My new favourite band. Been lucky enough to catch 'em twice in a month. Awesome. Must admit I prefer Matt the drummer singing, like he does on "Long Journey".
All happened a bit quick for the bunch of guys who used to work in a record store (Amoeba - best record store in world). They just need to write a few more tunes, I'm wearing these ones out!.
TIGHT!
niiiice!
so stoked 7 days away from live show Tempe AZ
why does most bands buzz by Phoenix without stopping to play a set..?
People are sleeping on Allah-Las
KEXP are you hiring?
arabian southern cowboy surf rock/pop
The word "garage" needs to be in there.
@@Warrogue1 their music is a little toooo good for the garage label. it seems very well thought out and well done. it's just great.
Hugh Jass they chose the name allah las cause it reminded them of a 80’s garage pop band and it’s the type of name that can’t escape
Garage rock you noob

The first song sounds like it could be a stones song.

Anyone know the name of the bass that Spencer plays?
What kind of bass is he playing? I know I've seen it before but can't think of the name...also, awesome band.

Good song
Why should they do it?
Heavily influenced by BJM. Promising band
dem toight, toight like toigers.
Does anyone else get a Doors vibe
It's not what you think it is
Far out.
Murdoc on electric guitar
Loooool
at 13:22 they channel a little BJM, the song sounds like old BJM, plus the drummer looks like Joel Gion and what? ... he's shakin' a little tambo? yeah. Dig. A prettier, less deranged, and definitely tighter band than BJM but them psych roots reach way way back. I dig the Allah Lahs a lot more than most of what I'm hearing out there.
Same.
When your drummer quits last minute so you pick up a random homeless guy off the street
psychedelic surf
i saw them yesterday. they were good but all of their songs sound pretty much the same and i found myself getting bored towards the end of their set. i like the sound but i kinda wish they'd experiment more with it.
Ted mosby's band
Not better than your profile pic
I wish someone other than Miles (maybe Pedrum) sang lead. Miles' voice doesn't have much range.
