honestly man i didnt get that you wrote this and put this out for free yourself, and i get add revenue but still not equivalent exchange, so honestly thank you for giving to the public, you are awesome man, i struggle for things to read all the time as im injured and cant do much else i eat through books

I really enjoyed the first book and am looking forward to the second. It is a gentle tale unless you are a dragon, with the time being taken to introduce the 1:07 reader to the personality of each of the main characters. The narration is excellent and 1:07 suits the pace of the narrative.The first book sets the scene for the adventure to enfold in the second

I used to write horror and out of those people seem to like "Darkened Wings Flutter" and "Hellhound", but I switched to writing dark fantasy last year (I love both genres - if there was a book or film that perfectly combined Evil Dead and LOTR, I'd be all over it!). I recently released a goblin-flavoured novella called "Creep" that I hope will serve as a good introduction into my monster-filled world of Venari.

I'm not sure I could ever get use to how things work in this fantasy setting. Just the mere thought of a Copper Dragon going 4 hours without telling even 1 joke. It doesn't feel natural.

Not sure these two are the entire series since I am still listening , though I can't imagine how the story would be complete with just 15 minutes left of book 2 .Hope the story is much longer than these two short volumes. .

Ok I still haven't managed to finish this one because I lost too many Hit Points from the ads. However, now that I have a new laptop apparently I can listen to this on Discord again where there are no ads.
I am enjoying this series a lot. I like how unlikeable the main characters are. They are all pretty shallow people with questionable moral compasses. It makes the books more realistic. However, I have one major complaint. It's completely unrealistic for a warrior to forget their weapon. That would be like forgetting your hand and no superior officer would let that go. I do really enjoy the flow of the story so far. My favorite part aspect of the story so far is that the political world is not too black and white. I enjoy not being comfortable fully supporting any of the political leaders.
This is great! I've been reading these fantasy stories since I was a teen (1965-73) as adulthood loomed I lost track. When I go back into them , too many seemed to follow the same book. (you know which one) This is a good change! I am looking forward to it as I am getting older now, they seem to mean something different! GOOD LUCK , GREAT JOB!!!!

Absolutely! I don't have Patreon or anything, but purchasing the books you like on the platform you read or listen on would be amazing. Chirp has the lowest prices for my audio since Audible doesn't let authors control the pricing.
Great series! But for the love of God, dial back the ads! 1-2 ads every chapter? I get that you have to make a living, but please consider setting it to ads every 4-5 chapters.
It should only be 1 ad after each chapter. If you'd rather listen ad free, my books are available on Audible, Chirp, and many other audiobook stores, as well as libraries. 🙂

I agree 100% with the dragon! That has irked me about her from book one! It's not a dragon's fault! Her hatred and vindictive attitude towards them is so wrong! Her reaction is immature and petty! I just have to put this out there! I want to slap her to knock some sense into her!
I've enjoyed both of the books in this series, I really have. I just have one question though. Why is it that among the magic, the dragons, the inter-species telepathy and whatnot the one thing I find anachronistic is that the heroine is wearing PANTS?!?
Is this a Jungle Cruise reference? LOL But in answer, it's a fantasy world unrelated to Earth, so it isn't based on a specific time period. I know most fantasy stories utilize what people know about medieval times, but I like to take a slightly different approach sometimes. 🙂

I'm dubious at the sorcerer deciding that the best spell for attacking fire-proof metal was fireball. Also, sacrificing ten dragons just to make humans hate dragons sounds like the worst trade-off ever
Yeah, sorry about that. The title of book 2 was originally supposed to be Call of the Dragon, but it was changed midway through writing to Egg of the Dragon. RUclips doesn't allow you to update the video file, and I'm not savvy enough to just edit that out of the credits, haha.

Before I forget, you're illustrator for the covers is fantastic! I don't know if it's the same person, but the one I can see here on Egg of the Dragon is reallly good! That's the best Dragon I've ever seen! They were starting to get a little too vulnerable looking to me.

I get that you have to make a living, but please consider setting it to ads every 4-5 chapters.
It should only be 1 ad after each chapter. If you'd rather listen ad free, my books are available on Audible, Chirp, and many other audiobook stores, as well as libraries. 🙂

Book 3 is currently being edited. The narrator has 1 book ahead of mine, but he said that he should be able to get it done in September. I have a short scifi series that you can listen to next. The first two are up now, and the third is coming soon.

I agree 100% with the dragon! That has irked me about her from book one! It's not a dragon's fault! Her hatred and vindictive attitude towards them is so wrong! Her reaction is immature and petty! I just have to put this out there! I want to slap her to knock some sense into her!

I've enjoyed both of the books in this series, I really have. I just have one question though. Why is it that among the magic, the dragons, the inter-species telepathy and whatnot the one thing I find anachronistic is that the heroine is wearing PANTS?!?
Is this a Jungle Cruise reference? LOL
But in answer, it's a fantasy world unrelated to Earth, so it isn't based on a specific time period. I know most fantasy stories utilize what people know about medieval times, but I like to take a slightly different approach sometimes. 🙂
Lets see, either I could listen to it now without first listening to the first book, or I could give RUclips a chance to by then block it on the grounds of pretending its their business what country I'm in.

Yeah, sorry about that. The title of book 2 was originally supposed to be Call of the Dragon, but it was changed midway through writing to Egg of the Dragon. RUclips doesn't allow you to update the video file, and I'm not savvy enough to just edit that out of the credits, haha.

@@laroycarter2662 I tried to do something unique and different with the dragon lore in this series, so I'm glad to hear you liked it. Kevin did an amazing job with the dragon voice. I've never heard other narrators do anything similar, so he's definitely set the bar, lol.
