In today’s video, I’m going to share with you how I made these super easy Twinkie Cake Pops for my son's Birthday Party with Twinkies. As a mom you are always looking for the quickest most efficient way to do things and when I knew I didn't have enough time to make the cake pops the regular way I was trying to think of a quick solution to get them done. So I thought the Twinkies would be a good way to go because they already have a cream filling so I wouldn't need to bake a cake and would not need to make sure I was adding the correct amount of icing to get that perfect consistency. Now I have to admit I was not sure this would work because I did not know if the cream in the Twinkie would be enough to make the dough be the right consistency but it worked perfectly so I figured I would pass this info on to others so they can save some time making these. I hope that you find this video helpful in some way. If you do, I hope you decide to subscribe to my channel.
Materials:
2 boxes of Twinkies
1 bag of Wilton chocolate
1 Package of Paper Straws
1 Package of Wilton Treat Bags
Wilton 1912-9508 150/Pack Treat Bags www.amazon.com/dp/B00HB5575U/...
Helpful tips when making cake pops:
Make sure you are mixing the twinkies thoroughly and that there is not any white cream showing once everything is mixed together.
I highly suggest using a hand mixer or a stand mixer when making these. Although you can mix these by hand I don't feel they get mixed up enough when you mix by hand.
Add some Vegetable Oil to the melted chocolate so that it makes it easier to dip the cake pops.
Let the dough rest on the counter for about 15 minutes after making it into little balls, then put into the fridge for another 15 min.
Most importantly HAVE FUN!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you 😊
This is so cool, how did I not think of this..lol
Yes they are really sweet tasting but the kids loved them😊💜
Thaaankkkk Yooouuuu!!!
Really cool recipe. I might make this but instead of vegetable oil. I'll use coconut oil instead. And use the strawberry shortcake debbie's.
That sounds delicious! Thanks for watching 😊
Keep in mind that it may taste like strawberry & coconut - - not sure if you would like that.
I tried them. They wouldn't set up i think because of the jelly. They stayed mushy
I love your video. Do you dip the cake pop in the chocolate when the chocolate it warm? How long do you wait after taking it out of the fridge before you dip it in the chocolate?
Thanks Dora😊💜 Yes you dip the cake pop while chocolate is warm. I left mine in the fridge for about 15 minutes before dipping them in the chocolate. Hope that helps😊💜
Thank you for that tip. My pop kept cracking.
I love this! Question: Would the refrigerator make them sweat?
Thanks. No they did great in the fridge and the kids loved them. Thanks for watching 😊💙
@@ambizzaresdiyotherstuff3008 You know candy apples sweat in the fridge, (which I hate..🙃) that's why I asked. Thanks for replying! 🙂
How long are they good for ?
They are good for about 2 weeks outside of the fridge. Inside the fridge they can last a little longer. Maybe another week.
@@ambizzaresdiyotherstuff3008 thank you 😘
Yours don’t crack ?
No I have never had an issue with cracking.
Candy melts are not chocolate
Well, aren't you observant
