Clipping flight feathers should be banned. It's barbaric. Denying a bird it's natural right to fly is quite frankly cruel. When my baby grey came to me already clipped 15 years ago his feathers were a mess and most disfiguring. It took 18 months for the feathers to grow back. NO NO NO to clipping!!
I had clipped my cocatiels wings before bcs he escaped twice but i was able to find him, it is not safe for a bird to fly away it will most likely die, alsoy cocatiel was able to fly after a month of his wings being clipped

I’s it more humane to let your bird fly away right out onto the menu for the predator birds that will spot him immediately bc his camo isn’t made to blend in around here and he sticks out like a bright shiny morsel of deliciousness and wouldn’t last any time at all in the environment around here ?
