I’m 61 years old. I’ve been a sports fan all my life- baseball, basketball,American football, hockey, football. This was the most amazing sports moment I’ve ever seen
I thought we'd never top our comeback against Gillingham in '99 when gilligham scored 2 goals with 10 minutes left, then we score in the 90th and 94th minute to save our arses. Incredible! It's too much I was in tears after this match. Its incredible what football can do to you. CTID!
As an American, I sorely miss him announcing the World Cup. John Strong is great and all, but something about Darke just made it truly feel like a huge deal, especially his calls of the USA games.
As a City fan, this was the best day of my life :) I still get goosebumps and well up every time I listen to this video. They couldn't have scripted a better story.
I'm so glad I managed to get my wife to watch this game in the States. One of the few she's ever seen and it is something that will never be duplicated. To win the title by scoring TWO goals in extra time is unbelievable and will be treasured more than all the boring titles United scraped up. City is good for another 40 years. This from a Liverpool guy.
For years before this happened I used to always say when I was a kid and we were losing, come on 'do a gillingham'.. When City came back from 2 down in injury time in the play off final in 1999.. For all them times we failed to come back it was all leading to this! Amazing, always cheers me up this. I was there that day, absolutely amazing.. Just staggering. I probably will not ever experience anything like that again!
Martin Tyler's commentary was very reminiscent of his commentary when Gerrard scored against Olympiakos. I was expecting Andy Gray to shout "What a hit son!!!"
i went to my 1st game in 1973, i was at wembley in 81 when we lost to spurs i was there in 86 when we lost the full members cup to chelsea, i was there in 89 at maine rd when we hammered utd 5-1, but i never ever thought i would see us win the title.... and what a way to do it. city till i die!!!!!
The ending of the Man City - QPR game was one of the best ever, perhaps the greatest finish that I have ever seen. All of the announcers were simply great!
This is probably the only time in football history where English commentators screamed more than the Latin-American. But for the record, the Argentinian guy was pretty funny.
It doesn't matter what happens with Aguero in the future, the man could literally shoot Mancini in the face, and he would still be considered an absolute legend at the Eithad, period. That goal was just so goddamn EPIC!
still gives me goose pimples to listen to these. I ended up three rows down from where my seat is when Aguero scored, simply sensational, and the reason why we all love football.
Aguero hizo feliz a medio Manchester y la otra mitad seguro lo Odia , me quedo con la gente del CITY !! el me hizo feliz ese dia comoRrgentino por lograr algo importante para esa gente !!! se lo merecian
Manchester United - 8 points up, 5 matches to play - were as guilty of throwing away the title, but I often think the most difficult trophy to win is your first! City were hindered by the Europa League after Christmas, so getting knocked out of that was a bit of a blessing. Also thanks should go to Wigan & Everton for their extraordinary efforts @ Old Trafford l8 in the season to assure the Blue Moon to rise. But, ultimately, you have to give City the credit for NEVER giving up!!
This goal made Aguero immortal in English league.
Balotelli, AGUEROOOOOOOOOOOOO Still gives me goosebumps as an Arsenal fan
Na Na Naaaah Naaah, Na Na Naaaah Naaah, hey hey hey, Kun Aguerrrooo!

They are all gifted commentators. I like Ian Darke's style the best.
Watch it with Ian Drake's call on ESPN!!!! What a finish!
As an American, I sorely miss him announcing the World Cup. John Strong is great and all, but something about Darke just made it truly feel like a huge deal, especially his calls of the USA games.
The best ever finish to a season.
As a City fan, this was the best day of my life :) I still get goosebumps and well up every time I listen to this video. They couldn't have scripted a better story.

The ending of the Man City - QPR game was one of the best ever, perhaps the greatest finish that I have ever seen. All of the announcers were simply great!
Every single one sends shivers down my spine :)
I also just love that in several of them there's people in the background going, "OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD"
This is probably the only time in football history where English commentators screamed more than the Latin-American. But for the record, the Argentinian guy was pretty funny.
WE WON THE LEAGUE IN FERGIE-TIME!!!!
Congrats to City it must be a special feeling. Everton fan
It doesn't matter what happens with Aguero in the future, the man could literally shoot Mancini in the face, and he would still be considered an absolute legend at the Eithad, period. That goal was just so goddamn EPIC!
