Most satisfying punishment for a dive ever
So true, look at how fake that dive was 0:43
Same with the touch tho @ 2:09
@@y_edubrab3172 Imo players who do these theatrical dives should be sent off and given a 3 game ban for trying to con the ref. It would quickly eliminate it from the game.
@@Nickkkkkkk344 Agreed with that, no wonder most of us Americans (not myself as at least I dig football as I support Arsenal) dismiss football because of all the diving and flopping involved just to draw either a booking or a penalty.
But as for Anthony Knockaert and his little theatrical stunt he (somehow successfully) pulled off conning referee Michael Oliver to award him a penalty, the French judge (how convenient we bring up THAT figure skating controversy from years ago, also knowing Knockaert is a Frenchman) gave him high marks on artistic impression but a low score on the technical merit. :) LOL I myself would've sent his ass off for that shit, that fucking third-tier hack, he never could cut in in top flight anywhere could he, as I looked up his playing career in Wikipedia and found out the highest he ever got to was either Ligue 2 (in the French system) or the EFL Championship.
If I was Michael Oliver I myself would've had the gonads and gone by the letter of The Laws Of The Game and booked Anthony Knockaert for that obvious dive, there is no way in hell Marco Cassetti did anything to him other than lean on him and yet earlier on he easily got by what appeared to me like a stronger challenge from Matthew Briggs just to get into the box.

As a Bradford city fan, I concur.
Our cup final season was such an incredible experience, from beating Wigan (who were premier League at the time and we were fourth division, or league 2 as it's called now) to beating arsenal after extra time and penalties, to beating villa over two legs, and beating them on aggregate after a 2-1 second leg loss to villa at villa park, where the away goal made all the difference...
Those kind of memories are incredible, and I wish everyone who's ever followed a football club could experience those kind of other worldly experiences.
The greatest day of my life, without a shadow of a doubt, was walking out onto the veranda at Wembley stadium, when it was filled to the rafters with almost 90,000 people, and you know tens of millions of people around the world are watching your home town club from the lowest fully professional league of English football takes on premier League side...
My goosebumps were the size of tennis balls, and I don't mind admitting I cried like a child, along withsll the men and boys in my immediate family, and childhood friends.
I lost an uncle in the Bradford city stadium fire of 1985, Davis James Crabtree, who was 31 years old when he died on that may afternoon, and he, along with the 55 other fans who lost their lives on that horrific day were rightfully honoured at Wembley, whichade the occasion all the more emotional

Australia v South Africa 1999 CWC Semi Final
AC Milan v Liverpool 2005 Champions League Final. (I would say arguably, but I really don’t think it can be argued.) The greatest football match to ever of been played.
Maradona 1986 World cup goal, period.
Spare a thought for casseti he was the one who got the bad call, but still cleared it
After the amazing saves by the keeper.
And they say soccers boring 🥱😏
this commentator captured the moment absolutely amazingly. so much emotion, "do not scratch your eyes, you are really seeing the most extraordinary finish here!" he can replace martin tyler 100% for me.
Anfield Image The commentator is Bill Leslie! He literally is the best!

You should hear the Jon Marks commentary of this moment from 3 counties radio.

Tear inducing stuff. Not really a football fan by any means but as a grown man, the entirety of this video makes me cry hahahah

@Boris The Blade you are why we can't goods things in the world

Not a Watford fan but this never fails to give me goosebumps. Incredible end to the season
What does it matter whether you’re a fan or not? It can still give you goosebumps regardless, what’s the disclaimer for, in case someone recognises you? Lmao

Wasn't a disclaimer just the words I chose at the time buddy.

1. Who cares what time the comment was made, do comments do stale and out of date?, you’re telling me you don’t feel the same way anymore?
2. You don’t have to qualify your statement is my point. You sound like those dickheads that type “I’m black and I think this is funny” wow congratulations well done!

2:08 what an amazing first touch

Such control! Thought the same thing seeing the replay.
How that guy got the attack going for Watforld was pivotal.

@@justjames391 and there were multiple balls on the field! :D
Checking VAR... Decision is no foul
What makes this goal so special is that every section of the team does their job to a T. The initial save, the secondary save, the defence belting it to the midfield, the touch in the midfield, the midfield run, the pass to the attack, the cross.into the box, the headed assist and the final shot into the goal. It is football perfected and one of the greatest goals ever scored. It takes every part of the unit as a team to score. 👌
And keep it in mind, this is after a missed penalty in injury time, meaning that this was a surprising last chance, and Watford *needed* to score it, so imagine the pressure
2:10 that ball control is fantastic 👏
Exactly, not a lot of people talk about that first touch. Amazing control.
Facts
That guy did so well. That touch and run.
Excuse me do you know who did the commentary for this game. I think one of them is Bille Lessie
Am I right?
1:23 the last touch/assist before the goal was spot on, couldn’t have been placed better!
2:38 that’s got to be the best part 😂😂😂
lmao
3:23, a dive, a penalty, a penalty save, following up with a save, a counterattack, a goal. All in 3 minutes, Incredible.
So guys, next time you watch a game and the time says 90'. remember this game.
this is the only time such a thing would ever happen lmao
This and the recent spurs vs Leicester game. Spurs scored 2 goals in like the last minute of the match to win it 3-2. One of the best comebacks this season
@@zwykyziomek2570 There have been many game that have been decided in injury time tho
@@10ReasonsWhy few games come close to to this
everyone’s dream to score a goal like this.
IMHO this is the single best moment in football history, nothing tops it
Everything about this goal was perfect. The double penalty save, that masterclass ball control/touch (2:09), Hogg's decision to assist instead of going at it by himself knowing he doesn't have an angle- and of course, the goal itself. And lastly, Knockaert's reaction, was the icing on top.
Purely ecstatic.
the double penalty save was ridic; another perfect part was the karmic moment of the diving player not being rewarded with a goal via PK.
Don't forget is the best punishment for a dive ever. Stephen King wouldn't write it down.
Also, while the Watford players are arguing with the ref, Almunia sends them away - "I got this" @ 0:48
Didn't even notice the ball control while it was perfect
@Stuart Russell who tf cares. They sent Leicester out.
Karma for Knockaert. Intentionally dives and costs his team the semis.
Watching this is like losing my virginity, getting married, watching the birth of my son all rolled into one and I'm an Everton fan.
😄
I can proudly say I was there... imagine how that felt. Respect to my Everton friends, Z Cars is quite simply the best song for a team to walk out to. Don’t like that Richarlison fella much though.
Wtf
Wtf
Just curious, how many everton fans are there in total?
The security guards going "fuck it" and celebrating is the best part
Not all of them. 2:47 one of them rugby tackles a Watford fan in the pitch.

We used to see this in classic football era
After all these years I just noticed this : Michael Oliver is the ref here. How he rewarded a penalty there is incredible. He was a FA Cup semi ref yesterday and he was poor again. How he continues to get big games is amazing.
