First video I found about removing the alternator without a bunch of extra chit-chat. Thank you!

I appreciate showing the struggle. my least favorite part is trying to get things in and out of the bay. woulda bought a new alternator tho because it would suck having to do this again in 20k miles.

Thanks for this video. A question please: what's the part shown at 3:40 ? It's fixed with 8 mm bolt. What is that for ?

I scored a 38k mile oem alternator through lkq. Thanks for the tips.
Going to install it tonight after it cools down to under 100f outside.

Hi! I have same noise on alternator, so on weekend will change bearings in it even it is -20 outside) and additionally 12.5-12.8 Volts is good battery without engine running, and 14.2-14.7 Volt must be while running, more than 15 volts it is not good, it means your alternator will overcharge the battery

I wonder if Honda discontinuing the FIT has caused prices for their OEM parts to skyrocket. A new OEM alternator costs $950~ USD! Compare that to a new OEM alternator for a Civic or Accord of the same year that cost $550 and $465 respectively. Used low mileage OEM seems like a more favorable gamble than Autozone chinesium.

you should have taken off the egr i think it is called and that would have been easier to take out the alternator
