So basically anything on grass is won by British and Irish horses...
the europeans have always been better on the turf.
@@Oswald_Thatendswald id hazard to say if UK/Ireland tried on dirt the same outcome would be the same...
@@kingkonho I'd have to agree with you there.
Was just going to say as an Australian looking on, a lot of people can't work out why you have two different types of surfaces for racing at the same venue, available when the weather is clear. Most of our synthetic racing is done in our winter, and the dirt tracks are mostly for the bush, where they don't have an over abundance of top quality turf.
@@dennispicone6801 I'm not sure I understand you question. Do you mean why we have a dirt and turf course at the same track? Cant speak for Europe but I know in the US we do it to preserve the turf. There's quite a few places in the US where it rarely rains, so the synthetic dirt tracks are more the standard because turf is costlier to maintain and gets cut up easily. You'll notice east coast has better turf tracks simply because they get more rain than the west coast. But often times they might switch turf races to the dirt track at the last minute if the turf isnt up to standard.
White Abarrio’s jockey gave him a beautiful ride….perfect. Congrats to the Japanese horse who nabbed second. They’ll get it one year…probably when it goes back to the east coast. All horses ran safe and made it back to the barn. That’s the best finish.
No prep run killed the Japanese horse I think being honest...
After they scratched all good horses
Loved The Japanese horse too but knew NO ONE BEATS RICK DUTROW PERIOD
These Japanese run big off 180+ day layoffs especially with young horses like him. Theres a trainer over there who trained Maurice who Won every grade 1 in Hong Kong or anywhere he went off a year or more wth different horses
Thanks so much for this upload. I have poor vision and was able to watch such amazing animals do what they love to do. 🏇☮️🇺🇸
1 more Breeders Cup Victory Leap for Frankie Dettori c/o Inspiral.
Irad Ortiz again, too much class he won the Bill Shoemaker Award for the fifth time...Congratulation Irad...🏇🇵🇷🏇🇵🇷
They cheat enough for him
And the Eclipse Award 2023 also in the pocket ...Congratulation Irad ...THE BEST JOCKEY AGAIN...!!!!
Janet and I thought that the second day of The Breeders Cup was perfect. We couldn't ask for anything better, Auguste Rodin winning, Cody's Wish, did his swan song, and White Abarrio, brought Rick Dutrow, back 🔙🔙 into the spotlight. Just a grand time. Congratulations on all the Winners. See you next year at Del Mar!!!!
It would be nice since it's called a world championship if they held it outside the states occasionally.
That will never happen because the center of the racing industry is in the United States, especially in Kentucky. Furthermore, most of the horses in these races are retired after these races, in the great majority of cases to Kentucky. It's called the "Breeders' Cup" for a good reason.
@@ValleyoftheRogue true, we know all of that but in spite of that, it was a good time .
@@chuckemeadewell it's an event that was thought of and started in the United States, and it's mainly American breeders (or foreign owners whose horses are based here) who fund it through the nomination fees that have to be paid when their foals are still weanlings. It also can't be held at international locations because most of them cannot accommodate the dirt races.
@@suzanneyoung8011 Well maybe they should drop the world championship label because they only race on flat left-handed ovals which favors American horses, -just a thought.
The greatest race day ever for me 😂

Vamos ortiz desde Venezuela
My greatest day and the Breeders Cup should “ALWAYS” be out West where it doesn’t rain (at least in 2024, It is in Del Mar California so rain will not be an issue or excuse for anyone to use).
