Your video really captures the strenuous trail, and the beauty awarded for your exertions. I've been going up there for some 40 years now, for work... and for the beauty.
Thanks Sam! I'm heading out for the open weekend at the preserve next weekend, too. Safe travels, enjoy your hike & and hopefully, the cold front doesn't hit us too hard haha.
Rewatch Amigo "Mount Livermore is a summit in the Davis Mountains in Jeff Davis County, Texas. It reaches an elevation of 8,378 feet / 2,554 meters, and is the fourth highest and most isolated peak in Texas. The peak was named for Major William Livermore who used it as a point of observations and placed a base monument atop it."
Thanks for watching! The Davis Mountains preserve is an awesome place for adventure, but limited access can make it tough to visit. Have you tried backpacking at Guadalupe Mountains National Park?
Davis Mountains have always been my absolutely most favorite place in the world! The scenery is constantly changing and just gets more and more beautiful. Great video! ❤
The Livermore summit trail is 3 miles. If you take Limpia Chute trail from Dave's shelter around the mid point, it will add some distance but is less steep and a more enjoyable hike in my opinion.
'Home is Where the Heart is'... my Heart rests in the Davis Mountains! ❤

Thank you for the kind words. The Davis mountains are my happy place, I can understand why you've chose to work there!
Howdy Travis. You certainly have been to some beautiful places.
Howdy Dennis! This is true, but not nearly enough 😆. Hope you're having a great day amigo!
Great video finally getting the chance to climb it next weekend

Good morning Travis. Just back for a rewatch buddy. Thanks for filming all of these hikes. It's something I can no longer do.🎉🎉
I'm back again. You know why! 🎉😂🎉
Back again buddy. Whenever I hear that opening music I think I'm going to a steakhouse in Amarillo.😂
I have seen Mount Livermore from a distance. Cool video.
Howdy Travis! Rewatch Amigo. Happy 🦃
I've never been to the Davis Mountains. I backpack Big Bend every year or so. I am going to have to check them out. Cool video!

Damn, this is on my bucket list. I’ve hiked the Madera Canyon Trail several times, but Livermore was closed all those times

Good place to hunt
I imagine so! I see lots of elk, mule deer, & aoudad in the Davis mountains.
Yup! Back again! 😂
Back for a rewatch
Thanks Kevin! Hope you have a great week amigo 👍
@TravisT432 you too, Travis
What was the distance of this particular trail?

@@TravisT432 Thank you so much for the information!
