Harbor Freight : "Oh crap, here comes that guy that keeps breaking our needlenose pliers. 37th time this year!" Seriously though, great video. To the point and packed with lots of tips
Thanks for the video. I had to replace the rubber gasket assembly, the ring was cracked. Other than a trip to Ace. This was very easy to clean and reinstall.
The tool to hold the the strainer basket from turning is called a dog bone, has different sizes on each end for sink and tub strainer basket. They are a fairly inexpensive tool .
Great video, but I have a question. Using anti-seize on the threads? Wouldn't that make the threads more likely to loosen over time and start a leak? Or on the other end of the spectrum, would using anti-seize allow you to put too much torque onto it and screw up the bead of plumber's putty? Just curious. Thank you.
Can plumbers putty or epoxy putty be used on the threads of a metal pipe to stop a leak between a metal nut and a plastic drain part that looks like a flange below the rubber gasket under a bathroom sink? The nut was tightened as much as possible and a small gap between the two parts still exists.
This is my third sink drain video. This one is the best, fast-paced and to the point.

That Chain thingy is the key man. I want that in my toolbox.
Excellent video - to completely informative - really appreciate this. Right to the point, and fun to watch.

Thanks, I appreciate concise videos. Use of a drain wrench will save pliers and keep from boogering up the drain.
Very interesting.

I had to drop and break the ring to unscrew things twice today
you should not salvage basket strainers. they are really only for one time use.
Ya super easy 🙄
