though it looks fascinating seeing loco cab ride but trust me when actually sitting inside a loco it feels boiling, noisy, feeling vibration and sitting for more than 5-6 hrs in single pose is really tiring...
One question from my side ? How loco pilot is driving without seeing outside of the track but when I see video I can't see out side because tracks are more crossing os there how they will find it can u please say me ...

Yes, Officially it's not allowed. Nobody will allow any random stranger in Loco. But Staff Relatives somehow manage to reach there. My Father also retired from Railway & I've visited almost all the Loco Series in India except the recent WAG 12 coz today my Father & all his colleagues are not in service.
Why don't they use a forward facing video camera and screen inn a long hood version of these trains to increase visibility? The camera can be used to even record video sequence and can help in accident investigation. People are using cameras to remote drive rockets and space ships and here we are trying to see through a peep hole while driving a train.

Why do they ride with a control desk facing long hood? They can drive by reversing the loco side to no hood where visibility can be 100%. This view has no visibility apart from seeing only signals.....So we assume that a loco pilot is only concerned about signals and nothing else that comes in between the tracks?? Please clarify my doubt as i have seen EMDs and ALCOs as well driven same way.
They can't reverse the loco direction to short hood without turn tables. How will you make the loco to face towards short hood if you have to do rake reversal at a station?

you turn all of the electrical switch components on the locomotive. Then go to the engine room to prime and start the engine, use a LCD board to auto start the engine if it has one. Stopping the engine is very easy by just pressing the E - Stop button
WDP-4s were made by EMD/GM. Indian Railways had no part in Designing. They called the Tenders, ALCO and GM were shortlisted. ALCO refused to share Transfer of Technology (for Locos to be assembled in India), GM accepted thus this model was selected. The Then DLW (now BLW) changed the cab due to feedback from LPs and later Dual Cab was Introduced. Note: Not to be confused with WDM-3D series or so ALCO in above paragraph.
The inside of the cab is very dirty, you should not post such videos as it is a shame for INDIA. Just see the railways of other countries, try and imitate them in cleanliness also.
