  • Chris is joined by a panel including Drs Ann Burgess and Gary Brucato and award-winning journalist Barbara MacDonald with CourtTV. They discuss the psychological aspects of the Delphi Murders and explore similarities with the the mysterious unsolved 1972 murder of 16-year-old Jeannette DePalma.
    The Delphi Case: On Feb. 14, 2017, the bodies of Abby Williams, 13, and her friend Libby German, 14, were found near the Monon High Bridge Trail in Delphi, Indiana. The girls disappeared the day before when they were dropped off on the trail. Libby's cell phone video recorded their killer, who ordered them, "Down the hill," on the video. Richard Allen, 50, was arrested in October 2022 in connection with the killings. An unspent bullet from his gun was found between the girls at the crime scene. He allegedly confessed to the crimes in recorded jailhouse phone calls. Allen's defense team claims it was a pagan cult -- not Allen - who ritualistically killed the girls.
    Jeannette DePalma Case: The body of 16-year-old Jeannette DePalma was found on top of a cliff, overlooking an abandoned quarry in Springfield, New Jersey. Her body was found after a dog that brought home a very decomposed human forearm. She would later be identified as DePalma, who had been missing for six weeks. Soon after, satanism, witchcraft and police conspiracies were all talked about with this case.

      It seems insane that anyone would bring the bodies to that area after killing them. However...the heat scanning drone did not pick them up AND a very persistent rumor is that at least one person (Caleb Bowling) was diverting searchers away from where the bodies were found the next day. Odinites actually are Neo-nazis. They worship VIOLENCE. Brad Holder and Patrick Westfall are the main players in the murders. They are sick people and Holder was the father of Abby's boyfriend. It was not a lie that Logan went to the aquarium store. What he lied about was having a cousin drive him, as he had a suspended license. Police found the receipt during the initial search of his home. What is unknown by the public is what time he left home.

      Thanks SP. Was coming to the comments to mention this. I know Barbara is aware of this, but she forgot to discuss this with the panel (at least up to the 37 min mark, where I am), leading the others to assume he made up the story about the trip to the fish store.
      The lie was that he asked his cousin to tell police that the cousin drove him; when in truth, Logan drove himself there on his suspended license. Same as he drove to the transfer station that day around noon, where he appeared on security camera footage in clothing not matching what Bridge Guy was wearing.

But we don’t know whether he lied about the time he left, or just didn’t pay attention to what time he left. If LE checked his phone data, they know when he left. Allen's history that would indicate that he could do something this heinous or anything remotely close to it. It's so unsettling to me that a presumably innocent man is in PRISON before he's even tried. This case is heartbreaking on so many levels.

Before he was arrested people cried out "they solved their own murders by filming him," which I wholeheartedly agree with. It's sad now that people are being caught up in the defense's BS narrative. People also act like the bullet was the only evidence against him. It isn't. The video evidence is some of the evidence we have ALL seen. And it's not like the defense is going to reveal more evidence that they have against him in their desperate finger pointing document.

It may be worth looking at a very old case in Australia, the Azaria Chamberlain case. I believe the man responsible for this was Ron Logan especially after hearing about his history of violence against animals, women, his disrespect to the law and police and his hatred for trespasses onto his land.

      They also had heat-seeking drones out the night of the 13th, yet their bodies were not picked up by the drones.

      @Lovesongs-Deathdance Год назад +2

      @@catH727Yes, that's what the prosecution says. But the question I have asked myself (as well as the question here 👆 was) is: If they find this unspent bullet so important, why was is NOT included in R.L's search affidavit? He was a local, the LE knew about him (previous "encounters" with local police) and it was known that RL was a gun collector. But not a word about this "important evidence"? 🤷🏻‍♀️ I find it odd. Just as a lot of other actions and non-actions by LE (by the local police, C.C, more specifically).
      To be able to match ONE, specific gun through markings on an unspent bullet, is possible according to some experts in the field, but considered as "BS-science" (to be honest) by other experts. Meaning that THIS evidence may not reach the trial at all, or it will just be experts against experts at the trial. 🤷🏻‍♀️ And maybe that's why it wasn't mentioned in the RL search affidavit? 🤔 Idk.
      (Also meaning that WE, the public, can't KNOW if this unspent bullet REALLY came from R.A's gun. We will see...)

    • @beez991
      @beez991 Год назад

      Because it didn't need to, they knew he wasn't there at time of crime and he wasn't BG but felt he may have had involvement. It's normal to get a SW for a person who has bodies on their property doesn't mean they think he did it. Not everyone house who got searched is BG obviously. Plus the SW asked to collect all weapons no need for it then

    • @Robocopster
      @Robocopster Год назад +1

      Yes, but if they had found the bullet on his property at the same time they found the bodies, then why leave these very important facts out of the affidavit for RL’s home? Location of an unspent round between the bodies would be an extremely important fact at that time. No competent officer asking for a search warrant would leave completely out of the affidavit. They would want to triple underline it, not hide it. @@beez991

    I was wondering who Dr. Brucato or anyone on the panel thought was the target and why? Not that they were lured out there by someone but who was this perpetrator targeting with their violent fantasy? Or maybe it was both.
    I loved the insight from Dr. Brucato profiling the type of person that fits this crime. I also loved the insight from Chris on the arterial spray and how forcing Abby to redress in Libby’s clothes too, then attacking her first, leaves Libby unclothed and in a position where she won’t run. Also the possibility of internal bleeding from the neck wound and her position being factors in why there wasn’t much blood on her clothes. I wish more media a sources would have this panel on, instead of feeding into the Odinism BS.
