  • Full Takomo's 301 CB Golf Club Review. Potentially the best bargain player's golf irons on the market
    In this video, I put the Takomo 301 CBs irons up against my gamers, the Miura MC-501s. I’ll test them on the Trackman and I also take them on the golf course to see if these $649 Takomo irons can keep up to my $1850 set of Miuras.

    I opted for 101t’s over a set of Mizuno or Srixon. Jumping back in golf after a very long hiatus. And man, the Takomo irons are just amazing. So glad you’re doing a review of these. Just wish they offered more options for customizing.

      @@gripgarage4123 i got the 4-pw 101t’s and I was extremely impressed. The distance, the accuracy, I’m able to work the ball easily left and right too. I have heard the 201’s have much more feedback on your miss hit’s.

    I think maybe with the Tacomos you should have hit a 9i and PW in Miura. I think to since you got 100% fitted for Miura over piecing together the Tacomos.
    I just got fitted with some KM-700 and 501s and I couldn’t imagine hitting anything better. The Tacomos are def solid but I think for serious golfers there is def a clear winner.
    Are lofts same? And shafts same? Could make a difference. I think mentally too you know you spent $$$ on the Miuras so you naturally hit them better. Mind games

    • @NewNineGolf
      @NewNineGolf  Месяц назад

      Theres only 1 degree of difference in the PW. I'm not sure why I would hit a 9 iron vs a PW. Same shafts I was fitted into. Takamo are good irons for the price.

    I have a set of the 201's and not sure if your aware but you can order them head only which makes them $500 and then put your own shafts in them. the 201's I purchased were $400 for heads only and then put some modus 120x in them for $750 total and I love them, had the lie angles adjusted with a fitted once built.

    • @NewNineGolf
      @NewNineGolf  11 месяцев назад +3

      Ya I know what you mean. Prob takes time to get used to them on the course. I did take the Takomos to PEI and I was striping them. On the flip side, when you go for a fitting. They almost always use your current gamers as a baseline. So you can just look at my trackman stats and form a pretty good opinion on how they compare. Thanks for watching and commenting. 🍻

      Potentially on the PW. The 8 iron was the same loft and the 4 iron, the Miura was actually 1 degree weaker and going farther. Even in my on course testing. Prob due to weight placement. I'm not sure exactly.

      Have you heard anything negative yet, about their durability ? Like everything else that is new, I usually wait for the 2nd generation batch. Which is why I haven't bought them yet, but very close

    • @NewNineGolf
      @NewNineGolf  2 месяца назад +1

      Not with durability. The 301 CBs are a one piece forging so I don't imagine that'll be an issue. Only thing I heard from a buddy was one of his clubs, the epoxy was loose. But that's kinda just a QC issue you'll get with any manufacturer. It was fixed.

    The miura will obviously be a bit closer because of the lower loft, if you did the test right they would have been the same distance away, you should have moved the takomos up because of the lower loft so obviosy miura would have been the cleer winner.

    • @NewNineGolf
      @NewNineGolf  Год назад

      Not sure if its obvious. 8 iron, same loft and 4 iron takomo is a degree stronger. Miura went further in both instances.

    • @NewNineGolf

      Ya I think so. The Takomos do seem like they go just a touch higher. Even in the irons with the same lofts. Could have something to do with weight placement. I do like them though.
