The crowd is going nuts in this video. Glad to see heavy metal concerts looking like heavy metal concerts again.
BAN SHITTY PHONES!
This will improve every music gig by about a million percent!
Now if only metallica could sound like metallic again.
Glad to see James playing the Flying V again
He never stopped?! During the last few years where they've had a faster song around two songs before last (ie Battery, Blackened, Lords of Summer, Spit Out the Bone etc) He's always played the classic white V.
That riff is probably one of best Metallica riffs ever
I was at this show but I left while they played Nothing Else Matters, but I seen Metallica back in 04', I believe James is always nervous when starting this song, but it was the first song they played when I seen them the first time and it's always been my favorite! 🤘 Can't wait to see them again!
I got to see them fresh on the Monsters of Rock tour where they were still an opening band and were just dropping Justice as a new LP as well as introducing Jason Newsted. It was the day I fully became a Metallica freak.
I was close to you in the crowd! What a killer set! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
They sound great!
They really do!!!
Hm no. They are struggling to stay together
Metallica was right on their game that night they are really starting to step it up again
Вспоминаю Сиэтл'89. Батя тогда вывозил весь концерт на одном дыхании. Годы идут..
And Justice probably my favourite Metallica album followed closely by Puppets and RTL.
Ride the lightning is my favorite album. Because I like the song escape so much it's my favorite song by metallica. But metallica says it was their least favorite song because they said it sounded too comercial they even had debated whether to add it to the album I don't know why I think it's a kick ass song!
Ah! The james battle stance mode while holding the guitar! Just like 1989 yeah! 🤘
METALLICA IS BACK ON TRACK !
Color our world blackened
Great Sound BUT why the hi hat is so loud this Video?
I'm not sure, all my videos sounded like that. I'm not sure if it's my phone or just thats what it actually sounded like. I don't mind it though.
Phone microphone as tuned to capture your voice which is at mid to high frequencies.
@@lotsapasta0858 - hmm. But i found a good Fan Video! And there it’s Fine
@@lotsapasta0858 - but it is totally fine if its not Sound like Record. The Record i have at home! Metallica , i will have alive and LIVE! So - they Are great, amazing in 2021!!
@@lotsapasta0858 you also have to take into consideration he's alot older now and doesn't do coke anymore to drive him off the walls
Each time Kirk is further of play the original solo :(
He's been playing it like that for years and it's fine actually, don't forget that they don't play the whole solo backing parts, so he has to end it fast anyway.
They did similar thing to other songs for years.
yeah, the last time he played it like the album was in 1990... then they stopped playing blackened in its entirety until 99 and since they've been cutting the solo section
he can't do it anymore....is sad because you can see so many covers doing that solo pretty good :(
@@81giorikas he is been playing like this for years because he can't anymore, they are not cutting the solo, just Kirk can't play it anymore and its sad
@@ferlindberg4748 This is just assumption and nothing more, to be honest. He does fine with other more complex solos so...
🎆👍🌞👍🎆
Do you have some more Metallica song
This song is about the Cretaceous-Paleogene extinction event and how humanity will likely succumb to the same fate as the dinosaurs!
Uh.. James has said in an interview that Blackened is about nuclear war. Dinosaur extinction event... lmfao! 😆
@@niggasjit the sun was blacked out. The world became blackened literally. Thats what i always thought it was about :P
The song is not about that, but interesting interpretation though!
The lyrics contradict you when they say “blistering of earth”, a Paleocene extinction even wouldn’t have an artificial signature such as a blistered earth. The lyrics also say “fire is the outcome of hypocrisy” which could be construed as climate change but is more likely referring to American imperialism in the 80’s as American presidents also prominently used ending foreign wars as a campaign slogan effectively calling Carter, and Reagan hypocrites for their handling of conflicts on the world stage as well as the nuclear arms race Ronald Reagan used to bankrupt the Soviet Union.
@@deadinsidemcgee411 the extinction event basically engulfed the earth in an explosion and heated to insane temperatures for a short time after the impact. sounds pretty blistering to me. i'm not saying the song is exactly about extinction intentionally, but thats the deeper meaning the song has taken on in my personal life. i think the destruction and despair also is related to cliffs death..
They really need to get a better sound engineer.. guitars sound so weak
The drums as we... oh yeah, THIS IS RECORDED ON A PHONE! Sound irl is great, their guitar tone on the other hand could be better.
This was recorded on a phone... my god think for one second lol
@@agent2face512 a Nokia 3310?
Idk if that’s the phone quality but if I were there and heard this I would leave. Guitars sound thin as hell and the drums high hat being louder than the actual snare is ridiculous
Lol. It's the phone. And nobody leaves a metallica show early
Man, Metallica is flat these days. Just listened to a different live recording of Blackwned from 1989. No, not Seattle. And man, the energy and attitude they once had....I felt like having a one man mosh pit in my living room!
This version really kinda sucks. I'm glad I saw Metallica for the Black tour, and Summer Shed 94. Even after that show, I said to my friend...is it just me or are they really losing their power? Then Load happened. The rest is history.
I'll never spend a penny on a Metallica show again. They put on 10× better shows and much more affordable than the overpriced ripoff product they give the fans these days.
