While we need a striker, I think I would choose Douglas Luiz over gimenez if we can only get one. He is quality player and proven in premier league. Striker wise, I think we need a young 'back up'/future focused signing. There are enough strikers who are miles better than wood on paper, but don't ultimately deliver...

Luiz will likely slow down our counterattack formation and might not be a good fit regardless he is a very good player. Current Nuno ball might not suit him. He tends to hold up play in midfield looking for the through ball but we need a ball carrier that could also pace with our fast wingers.
The counter attacking style will have to evolve eventually. As with every playing style at the elite levels other coaches will figure out how to play against it at which point it’s change or die.
