Large swathes of Borno and Adamawa were taken over on Jonathan's watch. Only an unserious person would try to portray him as in any way competent on this front. Boko Haram happened almost exclusively during his presidency. He let it fester until it was an international embarrassment. No, i am not a Buhari supporter. He came to power on an agenda of security and he has mostly been failure in that front. But he did vastly better on Boko Haram than his predecessor. This is why i hardly pay attention to Nigerian analysts, they're either rank partisans or ignorant about the facts.
