What a shame he had to drop out of music school at University. I think we would be looking at a man with a career that would have come very close to Pavarotti. Still I enjoy hearing him sing very much. Such emotion and strength of voice.

Remarcable voice of an amateur tenor with great talent and tamperamento. Let's not compair oranges with apples..both fruits but different taste. Signor Andrea Bocceli is one of the myth's and a professor in opera and Mr Hurkens i'm sure he will be VERY lucky to become Bocceli's student...
Martin is nothing like Paul Potts nor is he like Bocelli. Martin has a rich voice and more dramatic, and his vocal line is more joined. I like his ballads also.
Martin Huckers is a very professional singer,he is one of the top 12 tenors in the world,he is considered second or third after Pavarotti,,,but he is singing only in NEw York at the Opera so no one in his native country,Holland,heard about him:))) iincluding the politicuans there So he has singing in the streets of Amsterdam and at Holand got talent:))) to make people notice him..yeah the culture level there is like in the west,not so high:)))

All searches, even your misspelling, comes back to this guy. His biographical data confirms his claims, with regard to age, occupation, etc. Not sure what the point of your comment is, as it is pure fantasy. That being said, I do believe that Mr. Hurkens could have been one of the world's best tenors ever, had he been discovered a few decades earlier. He is truly gifted.
