Nice clip. Tony Shalhoub comes across as such a nice & normal guy, obviously so different from his 'Monk' character. By the way, Monk's producers originally wanted Michael Richards (Kramer from Seinfeld) to play the role, but he turned it down. Tony turned out to be perfect as second choice.
I never watched Monk until two weeks ago. Tony Shalhoub brings so much to that character! I've been binge watching and just realized I have 4 more SEASONS to go! And all the other main characters are great, too. The Capt is so kind, such a nice guy, total opposite of Buffalo Bill.

There is definitely healthy, belly-laughter as the comedic writing and scenes just kept getting better and better. It also has an amazing amount of tenderness. The range of emotions really showcases the amazing acting ability of Tony Shalhoub.
Currently on the second to last season of Monk and I couldn't be sadder that my journey through Monk is coming to an end :( This show is truly one of the best ever created, I think it's done as much subversion to a television genre as House
One of my top 10 favorite shows. I never get tired of watching it. Who doesn't love Tony, he is an amazing actor. Monk & Antonio Scarpacci have a very special place in my heart.
Monk is LITERALLY my favorite show ever. The only show I have ever rewatched FOUR+ TIMES
When Conan said “People at home can be killed!” I had to pause because I couldn’t stop laughing 🤣🤣🤣 That high def will get ya
What were the odds I'd be watching a rerun of Monk when this popped up to watch.
It's also amazing to see how many characters from other shows were on Monk, such an underated show.
Nice clip. Tony Shalhoub comes across as such a nice & normal guy, obviously so different from his 'Monk' character. By the way, Monk's producers originally wanted Michael Richards (Kramer from Seinfeld) to play the role, but he turned it down. Tony turned out to be perfect as second choice.
michael richards? Yikez!
Can u believe Peter Falk was second choice for Columbo? and Angela Lansbury was 2nd pick too!
One of The most talented person on the earth!!
I can't unsee Tony Shalhoub as Monk
Monk had it right!!! We survived the pandemic washing our hands like Monk!
I never watched Monk until two weeks ago. Tony Shalhoub brings so much to that character! I've been binge watching and just realized I have 4 more SEASONS to go! And all the other main characters are great, too. The Capt is so kind, such a nice guy, total opposite of Buffalo Bill.
“Its a jungle out there”....cant wait to find someone who will love me like how monk love trudy 😊😊
The series finale when he finally solved Trudy's murder. My tears flowed like a baby crying!!
I just discovered Monk this summer 2024! My children and I absolutely love the series and as we are reaching the end of Season 8, our collusive hearts are wishing it wouldn’t end. Thank you for giving tv a fantastic series and such wonderful characters and writing. Brilliant.
Just rewatched Monk, it was such an amazing show.
I laughed, cried, and cheered all in the same episode. You're going down Mr. Pee guy just as soon as I solve the murder of the ambassador.
He is such an amazing actor. Love him in Monk and Marvelous Mrs. Maisel!
Monk is absolutely one of my all time favorite shows of all time. My God, do I miss that show. I would give anything to have new episodes of it. Seriously, I couldn’t wait each week to see new episodes. God only knows how many times I’ve watched every single episode.
Best show ever. I've watched every show more than once still watching! Most favorite show EVER!!!
I am totally obsessed with Monk. Usually my memory is not that great, but I seem to remember every bits and pieces of Monk. I want to see Monk in person and it will be my all time favorites till the end of days.
I always thought Tony Shaloub would’ve made a great joker, his acting range is amazing
I'm bingewatching Monk now. I am just finishing season 6 and it is so weird to watch this and see him how he really is. He still has the charm, but minus the awkward creepiness that monk has.
That was an EXCELLENT interview. Conan was great and made jokes at exactly the right times and, knew when to let him talk and when to lean in with a joke
I recently got into this show thanks to my mom. Its been an amazing experience. I leave this on at night and its great because I have so many to still catch up on
One of the best quality shows ever. Tony Shalhoub was genius in the role.
Damn Tony is funny & QUICK! Always love hearing him talk about his big family reunions. Check out his episode of "Finding Your Roots" I very much enjoyed that one 💕👍
Monk is my favorite tv show it’s hard to not see him as a germaphobe and that’s interesting that he did picked up a few of Monks phobias 😂😌
I just discovered this show and have fallen in love with it. I’m going through the series.
Love Tony Shalhoub!! And all his different roles (Monk, Galaxy Quest, Wings, etc.).
All season's DVD's were my Christmas gift this past year. I love Monk!
just finished rewatching this show! one of the best for sure!
My girls, 10 and 11 have streamed every episode thanks to Prime Video. They are now going back through them again, and even though they've seen every episode, they still try to solve the cases and I enjoy watching with them. It's a clean show that's safe to watch as a family. Tony is a great actor, I miss him in Wings as well. Loving his character in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel also.
It's a clean show because of all of the wet wipes 🤣
Oh just FYI, MY niece is a senior manager for Marketing and PR for the San Jose Sharks hockey team. What a hoot it was to see a Monk episode in the arena. How special was that? My niece was on the moon with that promo. Thanks for that episode, Mr. wonderful Monk, Tony Shaloub!
Me an my husband's are monk , I get up at 3 am every morning with my coffee an watch it till 7am, it is such a great show, I can't believe it took me so long to realize how entertaining it is, the whole cast just play on eachother perfect, even when they brought in diff characters, I wish it was still on, but I'll keep watching the reruns as long as they show them, this show should go down in history I know it's just a sitcom, but it's that good!!
Monk is a quietly great show. The character build up, the script the story the drama and the comedy. Just all around a great and very entertaining show to watch.
Monk is awesome.....a seriously underrated show.
The monk..one of the best ✌️
probably the sharpest looking footage from 2005 ive ever seen, i thought "wow, tony's looking young!" before seeing the date. mind you, he hasnt aged much since then anyway
This show has made me mad, laugh, cry! I began watching the show today, and three episodes in, I cant believe it took me this long to start watching, after the show ended so long ago! Its absolutely fantastic and Im absolutely hooked! ❤
I loved Monk. Tony Shaloub is a fantastic actor. Only he could have pulled off such a brilliant performance.
He probably is playing himself except for the OCD. His voice is so therapeutic. It would be nice to have a friend like that.
My entire family is now addicted to his series in Netflix now
Monk's germ phobia turned out to be the norm when the COVOD pandemic hit the world !
Tony is such a phenomenal actor, from Adrian Monk to playing Abe in Mrs. Maisel - two completely different characters and both brilliantly played !
This character and the show hits different after COVID
I'm just now watching Monk over 20 years later... never seen one show until this year. It's really a "cute" show full of clever moments. Highly recommend it.
I've rewatched this series soooo many times. Haha. He's my fav!!
I have OCD...I often wash my hands.. about 60 times a day. It's very hard for me to live like normal people...but watching Monk always makes me feel comfortable.
This is a great show and it's wonderful that you can watch it with your children. Exceptional, really enjoyed it.
I love monk, have seen every episode and still watch Over and over
I would love to see a monk reboot with Tony back as the main character.
That crooked notepad on the desk bothered Monk the whole time.
The first tv series I watched and still remains my favorite ❤️
The best TV detective ever. In my opinion.
Monk is incredible. Tony is pretty great too! ❤
I can't believe Monk is drinking from this cup without being worried about something 😄
