001 being Vecna is really a mind blowing aspect and the monologue that he had in the final episode was perfection, by far the best season (at least for me)
Agreed 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
The monologue is excellent. Made me think of Agent Smith's monologue in The Matrix about humans being a virus.
I guessed it before because I noticed Vecna's eyes were the same color as 001's. I wasn't sure until the last second when they showed the tattoo on Vecna's arm though. Such a fantastic twist
💯… i can’t believe a few ppl (not many, but a few too many, still) found his monologue overly long. It was so well-illustrated with the visual flashbacks Nancy saw, too!
Same page
I think Vecna’s/001’s villain monologue at the end was absolute perfection.
he was very convincing and nailed that
Sorry I lose all respect for him when I found out his name was Henry. The big bads name is Henry.
@@VBO.Pro510 lmao 🤣
@@VBO.Pro510 Vader's name was Anakin
It was crazy !!!!!!!! But great timing !!!!!
The fact that Will is getting third-wheeled on his birthday makes it so much sadder
Especially since he has a crush on Mike.
Didn't everyone seem unhappy in the first couple of episodes? Like EVERYONE? The Cali crew, the Hawkins crew, definitely the Russia crew! They ALL looked really sad, maybe because they're all separated.
that was a confirmed mistake. Duffer brothers made an official statement
@@jumpratkickflip What was a mistake?

One scene I wanna say that was underrated cause it wasn’t action packed was the whole mirroring of the younger kids riding their bikes in the real world to go to Eddie’s while the older kids Steve Nancy Robin and Eddie was riding bikes in the upside down to go to Eddie’s as well……that little shot was perfect 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes
Pretty Much It’s reaction to it was so hype
@@Evanz111 yeah it was a dope sequence like the younger kids was In Sync with the older kids riding bikes to get to the same place Jus ina different universe…..🔥🔥🔥🔥……i had to mention it cause Max Vs Vecna Takes the cake but that mirroring bike scene 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Yes totally agreed!! Loved it and it was predictable as since the start of the series the direction has been showed in such a manner a couple of times. Like when they went to the attic and there was a splurge of energy while in the upside down, vecna was preparing his attack.
yesss
The part where Erica rolled a nat 20 while Lucas scored a buzzer beater was genuinely one of my most favorite scenes in the series.
mine definitely was the max running away scene and the vecna reveal
I literally cheered in my room
you know, now that you mentioned it beating impossible odds was a bit of a theme. Dustin : "NEVER tell me the odds". Hopper: "What do you thinkg my odds are?" And then Erica rolling a 1 in 20.
This season might be my personal favorite, obviously after the first. We got the horror aspect back and the mystery aspect back while it all felt logical 😮💨
Welllllll
Season 2 was Season 1 but better
Although I'm not decided on which is my favorite. 1,2,4 are great and 3 is very good
So in other words.... It's not your personal favorite?
FACTS
@@thelegend8153 or… it might be my personal favorite as stated above.
@@Jaysuave365 but you you said "obviously after the first". Which mean that season would be your favorite
They were so smart with how they revealed Vecna’s identity. They gave clues left and right, but we were only focusing on how he may have been 001, but little did we know he would be both.
To me it was quite shocking that in the beginning of the flashbacks of Eleven in the lab you see how the bodies were mutilated. However, i only linked that to the murders of chrissy and the others a bit before vecna was revealed. Like why was i so blind.
I guessed it was him - it just seemed to make sense that 001 would play a huge role here - and what bigger role than Vecna, which conveniently was to a human-shaped creature.
I thought that one was vecna before I released he was 1
The never showed the bodies broken and snapped untill the final reveal. That's when I knew he was vecna
Chrissy’s death also resembles Tina(Christina)’s death in Nightmare. With a “bad boy” being framed for it.
good catch!
Totally felt that. Rod Lane vibes as soon as he took off.
OMG YES GOOD CATCH!!!
Absolutely 💯
That's the first thing I thought of when I saw that! It matched up in so many ways! 😉
Crazy how they managed to make this season good. Most shows season 4 is a give up by then
they have alot of lore from dnd and can repurpose alot of source material from the horror genre. not saying its easy but i can only image their storyboard section of production. the game is a map and the movies can be the filler of that season!
@@jerzi88 thank you for knowing that

Season 3: Red Dawn + The Thing
Season 4: Nightmare on Elm + Hellraiser

Y'all, I don't think any of us are ready for volume 2. The Last episode is nearly 2.5 hours, we are in for a journey. Can't wait!
Really? How'd you find out. Do you think this could be the final season?
@@Enja___ no they released it, i think the next episode is like another 1 hr and 30 min, and the last episode is like 2hr and 30 min. but it isn’t the last season, they confirmed i think that they’ll be making a season 5 which would be the last. not sure tho.
@@itstheeiz9677 yeah it makes sense
We'll need to see the aftermath of all of this, see how ends up being but I don't know which knew villain they could make for season 6
Season 5 would be a good stopping point for the series. Hope they don't stretch it for money, unless they can actually still make more good seasons, if so by all means make 10 seasons
@@Enja___ hahahaa 😂, i hope too that they don’t stretch it out. i think gaten or dustin was talking about it one time, that stranger things was nearing its end. idk lol
An emotional journey!!!!! I think the last 2 episodes are both 2hrs +
I figured the mysterious missing no. 1 was vecna as soon as they mentioned him, but I didn't put together that he was also Henry creel and was the cause for victors insanity. What a series! But overall I must say, vecna isn't as scary as the mind flayer, however it's a close up more personal horror this season, rather than something apocalyptic, and vecna is a brilliant evolution of the Lore.
i knew vecna and 1 were the same didnt think of henry till the monolouge started and it hit me right before the reveal
I love that this season the villain’s attacks are personal (viewers’ perspective) alongside its nostalgic horror aspect. I love the mystery and horror of s1-s2 but i really love s4’s elements. Vecna isn’t just haunting the characters here, as a viewer I also feel attacked by him (depression guilt sadness). He feels too personal and I love it.
It was the opposite for me. I knew Henry was 001 but, I didn’t see the twist with him being Vecna on the other hand.
From what I can tell people immediately put two and two together regarding the staff member being 001, 001 being Henry or 001 being Vecna but what ensured that everyone was blown away by the ending was that it wasn’t simply putting “two and two” together that was required but “two and two and two”. Three supposed characters that ends up being one and the same. Brilliant! Especially since it also explains why 011 opened the gate in the first place.
I think Vecna is cooler than the Mind Flayer. Mind Flayer is a little too vague and general of a villain, "big bad monster gonna destroy the universe", whereas Vecna is a sadistic demonic entity with an actual psychological impact
I really hope they will let Eddie live! Such an amazing actor and the character is beyond loveable the first few minutes you saw him!
Love him. Reminds me of a younger Ironman
Sounds like Bob from season 2 😉
Even if he lives tho- the basketball team and the angry people from the town hall meeting will still hunt him down
@@MimiYuYu I mean the basketball team is the least of his worries now...I would like him to actually save everyone asses in the upside-down with that guitar, man,I cannot wait to see that scene with him in the rooftop rocking that guitar off
@@aiureapriniarba7 how do you mean?
I like that Vecna being formed by the lightning is very similar to how Palpatine’s wrinkly sith skin is reveled by his lightning powers.
The scene where Max is running away from Vecna was a masterpiece!!!!
During 001 and El's confrontation you can see him on one side of the rainbow and El on the other, showing who's standing in "the upside down" and who on the real dimension, even in the wall the rainbow is turned upside down on his side of the room, really minor detail but it made me smile.
im still here tryna figure out how Hoopers feet broke and recovered instantly.

He has wolverines healing powers without the claws
I knew that the "Orderly" was 001 immediately, but that he was both Vecna AND Henry Creel was a shocker.
Same here
I really enjoyed the one-shot style they filmed in the military shootout at the Byers house. I personally feel like this season from a narrative perspective is leagues ahead of the previous ones. The Duffer Brothers are getting better and everyone involved in the process, two thumbs up over here.
Neat callback regarding the Hellfire Club: back in season 1 Will races Dustin for his “X-men 134” comic. This is an issue in which the X-men face off against the Hellfire Club.
That's awesome, thanks for that tidbit of info :)
i love how 001 and Vecna have that same death stare, they pay attention to detail
It's the same actor playing both parts so that helps.
@@mattjones4285 the facial likeness clued me in as well
More questions: how is Brenner still alive? Where has Vecna been all this time? Why did the Demogorgon take Barbara and Will into the Upside Down instead of killing them right away all the way back in season 1? Every other victim of the Demos didn’t make it to the upside down…
Yesss. Great Qs! Iv been wondering t same. Even how did Max last so much longer than the others thAt Vecna killed. Its just a movie though. So we cant overthink these things too much i guess.
Something that bothers me more than Brenner somehow being alive is the fact that NOBODY mentions it. They're all like "oh he's got a scar on his face, that explains why he's not been around" and don't question it any further. I thought I missed something in the episodes but apparently not.
001/Vecna has been in the upside down for 7 years.. guess it took him that long to figure out how to get to kids in the regular world.
@@thisyoutubehandleisdumbasfuck It’s number 01’s papa so I thought maybe he let him live to see how the world is gonna turn out plus the clock has been around since the first season Vecna probably wasn’t strong enough
Tf do u mean where was vecna all this time?
I’m so scared that those festering bites on Steve is going to get worse 😭
Did anyone notice Eden looks exactly like Allison from "The Breakfast Club"? :)
Ally sheedy?
Ally Sheedy also costarred in WarGames which Mike and Will referenced by name when they used the payphone to call the modem. WarGames is about a teenager who hacks into a top secret government lab working on dangerous projects that could end the world much like Susie did.
4×4 ending was so powerful and inspiring.
Scene was cinematic perfection.
The track playing was epicness incarnated.
Vaderification of not so chosen ONE was an epic reveal to end the season.
what was inspiring about it? seemed like a bunch of cliffhangers atm
I think Eddie is going to grab his guitar from the trailer and shred some 80s metal solo to get nance back, like he was seen in the season 4 trailer...
I personally loved how Vecna teased Max..so creepy
Nancy’s Tom Cruise crush coming from Risky Business makes perfect sense as Steve was a huge fan of it in Season 1
In Will’s painting you see some red pillar or spike whatever it is and it looks similar to the spikes in the Upside down when Max is running away from Vecna and we all know that when Will gets a vision from the upside down he draws it, maybe he is painting all of Vecna’s attacks and the rumour going around that it might be for Mike it could be a chance that Mike will be a Victim he might have trauma from losing the people he cared about twice or could the painting be El as Vecna’s victim . Just remember that Vecna kills Teens with trauma and El might be the most traumatised person in Hawkins ,
And in the posters we see Will touching his neck so his Spider senses are tingling for another teen that gets killed … or maybe he is going to get killed anyway this is a long comment if you read it up to here thank you so much and have a good day
MIND BLOWNNNNN i originally thought season 4 is going to be okay compared to the others but noooo, hands down one of the best modern shows out there
I found the interaction between 1 and 11 to be reminiscent of Darth Vader and Luke
Vecna is also the chosen 001. Vader and Vecna also have the same letters in their name. They both do a type of choke hold using an invisible force.
This!!!
I love how every story intertwined by ONE character. Also wouldn't that mean that Henry would've had to have been struck by lightning at least 20 or so times together looking the way he does currently? I mean OUCH
Didn’t they say something like every time vecna kills someone he grows smarter and stronger which could also mean his physical appearance changes? Idk?
@@emrio07 yeah, voldemort vibes
When Henry was giving his monologue and talking about his early days with Brenner the way he talked about Brenner wanting to recreate Henry.. It makes me wonder if Brenner used Henry's.... genetic material... to produce the rest of the kids. So Henry might be El's biological father? The biological father of all the kids that were in the program, but because they weren't as powerful as El Henry had no problem killing them. Cause he was 32 at the time of the massacre since it was 20 years after he killed his family in 1959. 002 looked to be around 15 or so so that's plenty young enough to have been sired by Henry, though I'm sure he had no direct contact with any of the mothers and it was all done artificially. KNowing Brenner I'm sure the extraction wasn't something that could be construed as enjoyable either.

17:47 The Hopper/Joyce reunion was REALLY well done.
Wargames is an 80's movie, not 70's. When the Ricky Nelson song plays as the plane flies, this is foreshadowing for the plane crash, since that is how Ricky Nelson died
The ‘80s didn’t start until 1983, when The Empire Strikes Back came out. And they only lasted until the ‘90s, when The Cure released Disintegration in 1989.
Ahhh Nelson. I can’t live without your love and affection.
One thing I’ve realised that’s got me stumped is how will knew which lights were representing what letters in season 1 or at least how he was so accurate in choosing each one. The red mist stuff is also floating around the space where the lights are so with all those Christmas lights being so close together, how didn’t he make any mistakes?
Maybe the time in the upside down stopped after they saved Will in season 1? I was confused on that too
@@nooptopia It stopped the day Will disappeared, which is why Nancy's diary's last entry is November 6th
I was thinking the exact same thing
Adding to this bit of food for thought, if time stopped on the day Will went missing, then the alphabet lights wouldnt be in the upside down as Joyce hadn’t put them up yet 🤔
@@JaxMackson23 maybe you can tell the lights are there because of the particles like how they communicated w steve robin Nancy
The Hellfire Club is also a callback to the very first episode where Will wants X-Men 134 from Dustin, which is where the X-Men faces down the Hellfire Club.
Also reference to Mordor in episode 6... When Steve is at the bottom of the lake over the gate, it looks like the eye of sauron
*This season is so much dark, thrilling & mature, it's like we are growing up with the characters,& yeah we have pretty much since the release of 3rd season*
Only thing they messed up on was the bullies they rushed them made them to generic .
17:50 Can we all admit though? It was cool to see the parents of Hawkins actually do something for once! Even if they were totally oblivious. And I feel the extra cherry on top is that its the same cast for each parent as when we last saw all of them, even the Sinclairs are the same actors. Which is way better than the time Barb's dad was played by two people
What do you mean “even then Sinclairs”?
Eden looks exactly like Ally Sheedy from _The Breakfast Club._ Ally Sheedy also costarred in _WarGames_ which involved a teenager hacking into a top secret government laboratory that’s working on dangerous projects with world ending implications.
Hearing Robert Englund say “Nancy” shook me to my core lol
Yess, and i love how he scratched his nails on the table as a nod to Freddy. He was perfect for the role of Victor. :)
I have a prediction that Nancy’s favorite song will be the song Eddie plays while in the upside down
Oh shit yeah, but what if instead of them telling the world what happened and he gets set free (somehow) he gets stuck in the upside down then thats just another season waiting to happen
this season was fuckin amazing and came together beautifully towards the end and we still have 2 more episodes 😭
4 hours left in this season over 2 episodes is going to be crazy
It’s crazy how the only bad thing of the season is how lame hopper surviving was. Not that he survived that was awesome, but like, he just jump outta the way 😂
Right. That was kinda meh. I thought he would've jumped into the gate, and Russians on the other side investigating brought him back to Russia. Minor quibble in an otherwise really good season, but still kinda lame.
Yeah, they could have cut out some of the Russian prison stuff. Too long. And Joyce, the plane etc. Too far fetched to me. Hopper should have found a way to turn the demigorgon against the Russians and escaped
To be honest I think most of the Russian plot is the weakness of the season other than the action. I honestly thought last season he would go through the portal and get trapped and then discovered by Russians. Now its just meh and it dragged.
Yeah everyone expected him to have jumped into that portal but nooooooooo he just jumped down under whatever he was standing on… 🤦♂️
@@oaktowndimond668 agree entirely with this. That fight scene in the airplane almost made me turn it all off and walk away. Almost.
When el defeats 001, that wasn’t the first gate actually. It’s called a window, and you can find more info on these windows to the upside down in the official ST comics.
I love it when important info is stripped from the primary material to encourage sales of another medium >:(
Ah, otherwise the Upside Down would have been a copy of the overworld from 1979, instead of 1983? I was confused about this, but if you’re saying it’s actually not a gate then I think I understand
@@techstuff7568 yeah. The reason the upside down seems to be stuck in 1983 is Bc El opened the first gateway on November 6th, 1983. That’s the same day will went missing

but HIM BEING VECNA?? I NEVER SAW IT COMING
I figured that the orderly was One as soon as he mentioned it to El and when he was being tortured by Brenner. It was later that I also figured One was Vecna when he lifted up Two with his left hand the same way that Vecna does when he kills his victims.
and then another twist that he's Henry Creel, that was crazy
Episodes 4 & 7 are Emmy-worthy!!!
no no. the question is, what was on will’s drawing!! Answer: it will break our hearts
Question. If time in the upside down is frozen on the day that Will disappeared; how was Will able to see and interact with the Christmas lights that Joyce hung on the wall?
I was literally about to write this and found your comment, my thoughts exactly! Makes no sense
the christmas lights didn't just appear out of nowhere in the upside down when Will was there, the "essence' of the light did. remember in the last episode I think, when Steve and co. was stuck in the upside down, Dustin and co. borrowed a toy from Nancy's youngest sibling to communicate with the people in the upside down. the toy wasn't exactly in the upside down but its "essence".

This season so far, my favorite. I was only prepared to watch a single episode and ended up being absent in the work while watching the rest of them.
I was surprised you didn’t mention Sean Austin was a Hobbit in Lord Of the Rings. That was the first thing I thought of when he said mentioned the Shire.
Sean Astin was also Mikey in Goonies, the sort of 80s kidventure that was the inspiration for Stranger Things.

My big question is if it will be revealed what Will has been painting and why... it is referenced every now and then, seems important...
The detail of the Upside Down portal’s scar that 001 was pushed through being visible to episode 1 is so goddamn brilliant.

Another thing under the radar… I think there is more to the story with Murray. When Murray is impersonating Yuri, the Russian guard goes up to Yuri and says “is this the Bauman spy?”. Murray was an investigator, not a spy… something to keep in mind for Volume 2
It could just be them assuming he's a spy since Murray Joyce and hopper infiltrated the Russian base thing
It's most likely just how Yuri explained it to the people at the prison.

The 1877 film "for the love of Benji"? War Games was a 70's thriller? Lots of weird dates for these movies. War Games came out in 83.

The rope scene between the real world and upside down reminded me of poltergeist. Also, it seems the semi-mirroring of the tattoos showed that 001 was the upside down version of Eleven.
With the explanation on how they communicate from the upside down, it made me question how Will knew how to manipulate the alphabet wall Joyce made. Does everything happen real time there like Will can see Joyce assembling the xmas lights?
If time froze in the upside down the day Will disappeared, the letters would not be painted on the wall in the upside down because they happened After he disappeared. But maybe Will would have still been able to see the Xmas lights without the letters. Doesn’t make sense how he would know which lights corresponded to which letters unless he was clever enough to paint his own letters on the wall. Slight continuity error, good catch. Also how did Will not starve or get dehydrated in the upside down?
Seems like an inconsistency error. Just like how Will survived so long without water. There is no water in the upsidedown.
I was asking myself too how he did that. Glad I'm not the only one
Not sure but there is the scene where Will and his mum can see each other through the wall so maybe Will could see in through that hole 🤷🏼♂️
@@ironicly__iconic but this scene happens later

Probably just a continuity error

4.why 001 didn't kill doctor brenner ?
5.why eleven even makes a gate to throw him to upside down rather than just killing him ?
6. Where are the demogorgons in this season ? ( i mean in hawkins )
7.why 001 just didn't remove the chip by himself ? Like using a knife ?? Why wait all this time ?
And many more ...
Omg yeah fair points
I think papa is immortal
Ah yes, the removal of his chip bugged the shit out of me... He could have just cut it out with a knife...
Maybe Brenner didn’t have knives down there in case he decided to try that. He was probably doing whatever he could to make sure he couldn’t escape with powers like that
@@karlie.jordan fair point, the kids could have eaten with their hands all the time, but needles? Or even the wall tiles? He would have been able to find a way. A metal piece anywhere. He knew where Eleven could escape, so he would have found a way... Imho
Im sure some of you knew this and I'm sure some of you didn't know this but Heather Langenkamp's character from Nightmare on Elm Street that came out in 1984 was named Nancy as well and Natalia Dyers character in Stranger Things is named Nancy too. Both there characters had similar vibes.
The last scene when 001 monologue explained everything about him being Vecna to Eleven is AMAZING
Can’t wait for volume 2!!!
I noticed that Chrissy’s possession scene in the first episode gave me Nightmare on Elm Street vibes when Tina was killed. Even the being thrown onto the ceiling. Plus no one would believe Eddie or Rod about what really happened
6:50 - Fun fact: When they look at the list of people to find where Eddie is hiding, you can see one of the names is Rick Sanchez
What where?!
Amazing work. Thanks for all the details
one thing i dont understand is how the upside down suddenly is frozen in 1983 on the day Will went missing when we know for sure time in the upside down has passed simultaneously to the real world before, example: The letters on the wall Will communicated to Joyce by, or in the ending scene of season 2 when we can see the snowball decorations at hawkins middle school aswell as the upside down version of the school
I did get some Shutter Island vibes when Robin and Nancy visited Pennhurst Asylum, and we see the patients in the lawn. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not
I thought the same
Okay everyone saying how Sadie was a breakout star this season which isn't the truth has known realised how gaten matarazzo seems to fit perfectly into the roll of Dustin he's amazing
Roll of Dustin made me think of cinnamon rolls
Hopper getting hosed down in the prison and his talk of agent orange in Vietnam were references to First Blood the original Rambo movie.
Very subtle Easter egg I spotted, in episode 4 when max is running through the grave yard in the upside down there’s a tombstone with Byers on it… maybe a hint to the final 2 episodes?
Been waiting for this !!!
Another Easter egg, in the first episode when Dustin and Susie change his grade, that has to be a reference to WarGames, when Matthew Broderick’s character fixes his grade.
Great video, good delivery
From the second 001 said, "It looks like someone's a sleepy head." I knew he was 001. I never would have anticipated that he was a Creel though.
Can’t believe y’all missed the Rick and Morty reference. When they look up Reefer Rick in the system you can see the name “Rick Sanchez” as one of the Ricks listed
Dayum .. didn't notice it
I’ve loved every season and can rewatch them over and over but this season is just 🤌🏼🫶🏼😍 They did an amazing job. They got some big shoes to fit for season 5! 🤩🥳😍
I've been waiting for this video!!!! ❤️
The kids riding bikes reminded me of The Goonies.
All the episodes were Amazing :)
