Its nice to build stuff that works by intuition and without a circuit diagram, but i did make a circuit diagram for what you built and i can tell you that it is not a buck-boost at all, but a flyback converter with isolation. The extra diode and its resistor is the snubber network to absorb the energy stored in the stray inductance of the primary coil and protect the mosfet.
Finally I got it to run. It does exactly what you show but I'm still unhappy with the heat it produces. I hoped your modification will reduce switching losses. Maybe you like to advise another possible modification I use. By adding a few resistors I created a static MPPT solar battery charger with this boost converter. Therefore I used the two error comparators for input and output voltage (instead of output current). Setting the output limiter to the battery-full-voltage will provide a battery charger that stops when the battery voltage reaches the limit. The input voltage comparator will pull your input voltage down to the MPPT of your solar panel by increasing output current until the MPPT is reached. It runs fine with a 33V or 44V MPPT PV-Module charging a 16S LiFePO4 battery up to a limit of ~57V.
Well-done 👍🏻 If it produces heat , then i recommend increasing the winding turns! In my case it doesn't produce heat 🤔 see if it's overloaded? And i do not recommend increasing the voltage more than 45-50V !
I tried it but it failed. As soon as the circuit tries to start switching current rises up to current limitation and the transistor heats up. No output voltage. I'm not sure whether the coil is wrapped correctly. I think the idea is to have a primary and a secondary coil with the same number of winding, right? It's hard so see on the video.
I don't have a diagram really sorry, it came to mind and i made it , hahahah BTW , you can follow the Flyback circuit diagram it works the same , and it's also clear in the video what i did !
@@Electronic_For_You I've tried it ( with boost dc 150W) , input DC 12V but buck mode low voltage at 9V, can't down to 3V to minimum of voltage,? have i re-turn /modify 1:1 to 2:1 of the wire ?
I think it's because there are some resistive dividers for Voltage feedback and these converters are made for Boost mode so minimum input voltage should be 9V To Work well with the ic ,
Hello the efficiency is too low about 75%. Have tried both boost and buck. Could you please help me with efficiency. Atleast i am expecting about 80-85%

You are a genius. I love your work from the bottom of my heart.❤❤❤
Thanks bro 😊
You are GREAT.
Can you please show me and your viewer the circuit diagram before and after the modification .
THANK YOU.
It's very simple modification doesn't need diagram

You are right, 👍
You did not test all conditions to confirm. Can we get 1.5V from 12V input?

Make a transformer with 1:1 ratio and connect as shown
Bisa tidak kalo modul Xl4015 di buat step up down seperti itu, kalau bisa tolong buatin vidionya
No , XL4015 is a buck converter,
You need a boost converter
Apakah aman jika untuk charger lithium 12v 20a? Dan apakah aman dengan mengganti mosfetnya ke yang lebih besar? Seperti hw5608w!
12V 10A Is ok
@@Electronic_For_You terima kasih masukannya

Can you send a diagram, so I don't assemble it wrong? Is this like flyback mode?
I don't have a diagram really sorry, it came to mind and i made it , hahahah
BTW , you can follow the Flyback circuit diagram it works the same , and it's also clear in the video what i did !
Before turning it on , be sure to use a Low power Input source like 12V and 1A only, in case someone is wrong it doesn't blow up ,
Good Luck :-)

75n75 mosfet, use flywheel diode to protect mosfet
Bundle of thanks.
Lots of Wellcome

Can I used this as constant current constant voltage battery charger
Yes,
You can, but it's better to use a buck converter with CC-CV function
Pv voltage is 25.8
18650 6s battery full 25v
Can it work as a cc cv battery charger (mppt)
No this cannot work as MPPT ,
Hi dear
I have one like this, but I want to make it control the voltage coming out from zero (0). Can you tell me how to do that?
Please answer me
Sorry, i think it has some kind of protection circuit, so voltage cannot be lowered than 11V.
How tho mod simetris -0+ output sir?
No , minimum 1.5V
you can mod input 60v < ?, because i have battery lithium 58.4v buck 12v ? , thanks , i need you help
Hello, for the battery you should use a proper buck converter , there is some cheap 80-90v buck converters available online
@@Electronic_For_You , i see you have 2 resistor 1k from output why, can i no need add it ?, i try boost output vol 60v 2 resistor 1k is very hot.
These are loading resistor!
You can use 5K if you have!
