I'm in love with this truck! i've been thinking about what truck i want to get since i bought my mustang in 2012... and this truck is it for sure!!! Sounds amazing and looks even better.
@lmfscrew I have a 2015 with a 3 inch single set up from the 2 monitored cats back. Sounds somewhat similar to your truck. I have noticed that by driving the truck in tow/haul mode makes it much more responsive. Downshifts like a musle car and holds the gears much better. Grabs the gears like crazy. Noticed you commented on your truck's downshifting, thought you might want to know about the tow haul mode "hack" if you will. Love your truck by the way.
Dylon Cunha what warranty are you asking about? There's different types. If a window switch goes back the exhaust didn't cause it. You catching what I'm throwing?
How is it so loud with your cats still on?? My truck is a 5.2 and I have no cats with one glass pack that goes into an H pipe and mine isn’t nowhere near as loud as yours
have same set up on my 2014 chevy silverado but i have the X pipe, i will be removing the X pipe like how this sounds way better ! Nice Sound, Nice Truck 👍🏻
I just started a channel. It's called Murdered out Bowtie. I haven't put a video up yet but one is coming. I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado Midnight edition crew cab LTZ
Should've kept your flex pipe on exhaust. I ran mine single in ( kept flex pipe )dual out with 3rd cat delete. Sounds exactly the same and dont ever have to worry about busting the cats up front.
the sound inside mine is similar to your from 6:30 forward. i drive 1.5 hours to work and sometimes it kind of annoys me. but every time i turn it on😎😎
Yea 2017 was when i really started trying to make decent videos. Ive been putting random ones up here and there since like 09 i think lol however youtube is so over saturated its hard to gain traction now days. I appreciate the support!
lmfscrew I guess. If you knew what scavenging means, you would add a cross over. Still true duals and more performance. But you said it sounds better this way so you must of had it setup with crossover at one point?
This is louder and deeper. I had thought about doing a little caparison video with the old videos. Obviously filmed with a much older camera so idk if it would even be a fair comparison.
How loud really is this I’m assuming it can’t be too bad. See I know it’s not the same exact year so it’s alittle different but I have a 2009 silverado 5.3 with the first year they had 3 cats and I hear you can delete that 3rd one without any problems and want to do this to my 09. I know for a fact it can’t be bad because I actually have two old chevys a 93 Tbi 350 which there loud as hell with full dual straights no cats I have full straights and gargle like shit even at 1000 rpms lol I have 2 inch pipe And I even have a big 9 inch lifted 96 vortec with the same setup as the Tbi with the small 2 inch pipe and even headers and that’s even worse than . The small pipe makes it even louder So I guess I deal with that ok and that’s saying a lot because most people would be annoyed by those. But I guess my 09 is more my family pickup and with the windows up the kids are actually fine with noise even on the other trucks. But I’m just wondering if a guy like me that likes them somewhat poppy but can keep it a lot quieter when I want would this be a good exhaust for me. It sure sounds like I like it I just don’t want it terrible because it’s more a family truck. I had a 2003 5.3 catback true duals used to be the family truck and it was jsut liek this setup but actually my 03 sounded much quieter than this catback so that’s why I ask. Idk if it’s because the horsepower but my 03 catback was not nearly this loud sounding and wish it was louder lol when I had my 03 actually lol. Yours sounds much louder at startup than my old 03 and when you get on it. Sorry for the speech just wanted an idea cause I think I’m gonna get this exhaust sounds choppy which I like once and awile and sounds deep and mellow when your driving normal and that’s what I want thanks!
Not bad but you need to add a resonator or something to it. It sounds to much like the exhaust broke and your just too cheap to fix it. A resonator would tone it down just a little and clean the sound up enough that it would not sound like it's broken. I did true duals on my last truck (2011 5.3 Silverado) with no muffler and just the factory cats same as what you have. I loved it at first. But it got old after 5 or 6 months. I had more than a few people tell me it sounded like my exhaust was just broken. LOL After I added a resonator to each pipe I liked it a lot more and got WAY more compliments on it and almost no "it sounds broke" comments. I had 2.5" pipes on min and used a resonator with an 8" body. Wish I had some video for you of it but it was perfect!
lmfscrew That was a question I got more than a few times. "Dude did you break your exhaust or something?" I thnk its because it sound about the same as it would if you had the Y pipe fail right in front of the 3rd cat. My current truck does not have the 3rd cat or a resonator. But I did use a flowmaster on it. Tho Im not to thrilled with it so I plan to change it if I keep this one much longer. But I'll probably sell it soon. I tend to get a new one every 3 years or so.
Lol sounds like a tractor. Just spend the money on long tubes and you will love the sound so much better. Long tubes give the muscle car rough and choppy exhaust note. Check out my truck on my channel.
@@BelfastSquid cat back true duals is an oxy moron. There are 3 cars on these, 2 after the collectors on each bank, then a y pipe that goes to a 3rd cat, then out to the tail pipe. True duals is when you have each bank have their own exit off of each collector/header. Which is the difference between true duals and just dual exit like this is.
I like the way the tailpipes run out the bottom. 👍
Is the hissing sound at idle normal ?
The idle sounds amazing....
wakin' up the dead with this sweet melody
Robert Bidochon nickname it "Necromancer"
Planning on getting this set up on my 16 4x4. What should I expect to pay?
Crazy how my 1996 Chevy sounds almost identical to this and they are 26yrs apart
what size piping?
perfectly even and tucked up in there very very nice love that glass pack tone sweet truck
Do you have a video of how it looks underneath after the setup.
Yeah, he does
Love this exhaust. Hoping to have my truck sounding like this
What size pipe?
I'm in love with this truck! i've been thinking about what truck i want to get since i bought my mustang in 2012... and this truck is it for sure!!! Sounds amazing and looks even better.
Thanks man! I love it, you’ll definitely be happy with it!
wait is that larry before you owned him at the beginning??
Allow me to play you the song of my people
Love it sounds freaking awesome
I cant find 2.5 x 5 tips anywhere did you upsize from pipe to tip
A shop can make the .5” difference if you go 3”
Whats the brand?
To be clear, 2 original cats up front - remove third cat, remove Xover, add nice tips?
Dustin Primeaux yes. Only thing he has left in his two factory cats.
Where did you get your exhaust tips
Can’t find the exhaust tips please help
Do you have headers ???? Or no headers I really wanna know
I want to do that to my Chevy right now!
@lmfscrew I have a 2015 with a 3 inch single set up from the 2 monitored cats back. Sounds somewhat similar to your truck. Sounds good dude what size pipping did you use?
So did you just go to an exhaust shop and have them make you a new exhaust or did you buy a kit
What size piping did you run after the 3rd cat delete? Thats the exact sound im looking for.
Would doing this void any warranty?
Some say yes. I say there is no reason for it to.
Dylon Cunha what warranty are you asking about? There's different types. If a window switch goes back the exhaust didn't cause it. You catching what I'm throwing?
I got a check engine light after I cut it from the 3rd cat and back. Right now its dumped
Hey so i just got my 19 Silverado LD, will taking off the 3rd cat trigger my cel light (check engine light) also what diameter tubing did you use?
How much was this setup ? And how wide are the pipes?
Truck sounds awesome!
Thanks!
Does this setup still pass inspection where you live?
We don't have inspection
How is it so loud with your cats still on?? My truck is a 5.2 and I have no cats with one glass pack that goes into an H pipe and mine isn’t nowhere near as loud as yours
You’ve got to have true duals with no crossover (H or X pipe) to get the deep choppy sound
Yeah I’m getting it removed for sure
Is this basically one step up from the Y pipe? In terms of loudness?
If you don’t mind me asking, how much was it to do your exhaust? I don’t wanna get ripped off
Also, do you feel and horsepower gains?
$385 and no its not something you're going to feel.
Okay. Do you wish you would’ve got an x or h pipe, or do you think that’s kind of a waste of money?
It just makes for a different sound. I wouldn't want either.
will u lose much power w this setup?
Hey, how was the experience with in cabin noise and drone? Thanks
Lots lol
How is the exhaust done
How bad is the drone?
It doesn't drone
have same set up on my 2014 chevy silverado but i have the X pipe, i will be removing the X pipe like how this sounds way better !
Nice Sound, Nice Truck 👍🏻
Fucken love that sound doing mine like that for sure
hi, do you truck have headers???
How much do u want for your truck
I just started a channel. It's called Murdered out Bowtie. I haven't put a video up yet but one is coming. I have a 2017 Chevy Silverado Midnight edition crew cab LTZ
THANKS, BRO, that sounds, freaking AWSOME, i, getting my 2017, straight pipes 2morrow. FUCK yea, git, some.cpl UNITED STATES MARINE. LEJUNE, N.C.
@lmfscrew aye bro what’s the exact inlet and outlet on the tips and where did you get these exhaust tips.Im trying to do this setup like tomorrow.
Does it pop and crack when you down shift like a standard?
Dillon Foster it will slightly, you'd have to manually drop it in 2nd from 3rd or something to really get some pops
What size pipe you running 2.25” or 2.5”?
2.50
That thing sounds glorious.
Who did your exhaust?
And does it connect from the header cats or the y pipe?
Did you watch/listen to the video? lol
Hey know it’s been awhile since you’ve done this, but how is it at around 70-80, and more importantly towing like a boat?
Love the sound of the Silverado!! Got a question. If I take off my resonator, will I void my warranty? I’m with Autonation.
I can't speak for them i would call them and ask but most cases anything after the cat does not matter if you change.
Thanks bro
Is this a kit I could buy somewhere?
No
Do you know how to make it less raspy?
This isn't raspy at all lmao
Should've kept your flex pipe on exhaust. I ran mine single in ( kept flex pipe )dual out with 3rd cat delete. Sounds exactly the same and dont ever have to worry about busting the cats up front.
If you have single to dual there is literally no way it sounds the same. I've ran this setup on trucks for years. No need to keep said flex pipe.
@@lmfscrew I've ran both, exact same sound.
The flex pipe still allows engine to move without putting pressure on the cats coming off manifolds.
Ive ran both as well on multiple trucks. May be similar loudness but the sound is not the same lol
Just a safe option that gives you the same result!! #bowtielife
Did it void your warranty?
And how did cutting all them off do to your MPG?
What all did you cut off on bottom when you put duals on?
Everything from before the y pipe back was replaced.
lmfscrew awesome thanks man.
What exhaust kit do you have on it
Is that BUBBA TRUCK the beginning
What size pipe did u run
How much did it cost?
Did you go with angled slashed tips or angled rolled?
10:18 I see a Larry in the background
Taking out the third cat did your truck lose a lot of back pressure?
Hey man nice truck. How much was your exhaust? Looking at doing one for my truck
how much did it cost to remove third cat..muffler and res???
I believe it was 380 for everything
the sound inside mine is similar to your from 6:30 forward. i drive 1.5 hours to work and sometimes it kind of annoys me. but every time i turn it on😎😎
Nice sound 🤙
Thanks!
How much did this cost?
how does it sound with the v4 mode enabled, without the range module. Subbed by the way.
Making a video on that next week, stay tuned.
Hey bud, nice truck, have you thought about throwing an xpipe or an H pipe up in there to help with the knock/choppy sound? Anyways sounds awesome 😎
Thanks! but Nah i love the choppy sound personally.
What diameter of exhaust?
2.5"
lmfscrew what’s the inlet” to outlet “ and the length of the tips I can’t find any
you should do a vid like this with the diesel one
Its coming!
#larry is the first clip
You need more subscribers
I’d be happy to have more lol
Hamza Bhatti he deserves way more honestly, he's been making good videos for years. He's starting to climb though!
Yea 2017 was when i really started trying to make decent videos. Ive been putting random ones up here and there since like 09 i think lol however youtube is so over saturated its hard to gain traction now days. I appreciate the support!
lmfscrew you should consider taking all of your cats out and putting high flow cats in
Dam!!!! She sounds right...
love the truck !! would it be too much to ask to shoot a quick vid of the pipe layout? including where it dumps. thanks
Have a video lined up to go live in a few days. Keep and eye out for it.
😁👌 Oh yeah like it a lot.
Sounds beast👍
I love that sound of that truck I want to do that to mine just wondering what kind of pipe you have underneath and what you put in between
Did you not watch the video lol.
Why no cross over pipe like an x pipe?
True duals sounds better
lmfscrew I guess. If you knew what scavenging means, you would add a cross over. Still true duals and more performance.
But you said it sounds better this way so you must of had it setup with crossover at one point?
Sounds amazing
What's the name on your hat bud ?
Sounds sweet
Hey does the level affect your gas mileage big time?
Level doesn’t really affect mpg at all. Only thing it would do is make it a little less aero Dynamic I guess
Cool. I just got the same exact truck a few days ago so I’m gonna do that same level. Thanks!
Nice!
What are your opinions on this exhaust compared to the old f150s if u can even remember it? Lol
This is louder and deeper. I had thought about doing a little caparison video with the old videos. Obviously filmed with a much older camera so idk if it would even be a fair comparison.

I love how you literally can’t hear what he’s saying over the exhaust
You can totally hear him
You don't get a engine light cuz the cats are gone?
Just the 3rd cat was removed, still has two that are monitored by o2 sensors.
What size pipe are you running
Alabama tags yee yee sweet home Alabama
4:07 that idle 😍😍😍😍
Not loud enough
Not bad but you need to add a resonator or something to it. It sounds to much like the exhaust broke and your just too cheap to fix it.

Dont like the sound. ...sorry
Sounds just like the annoying sixteen-year-olds struck down the street good job.....
Lol not even true duals, has a stock y pipe. It’s just another typical dual exit.
Look again. It’s catback true duals
