Started climbing in 74 ,still at it 50 years later .but lift trucks only, love Reading the ASPLUNDH and Davey magazines, see many guys been there 50 and 60 years still working
Climber I work for two tree service company's and own a tree business myself I started it 6 months ago like watching your videos and guilty of treeson keep it up and God bless
Climber. I love my Makita DUC 254 with Oregon Speed Cut Nano for cutting small limbs. For bigger stuff: Stihl MS 200t. Your videos teach me a lot. Thanks and God bless!
I'm a climber I've been climbing a little over 20 years and I've never used an electric chainsaw so I don't know but I love your videos you do a great job and keep up the good work and thank you for your service
Climber from Iowa, just started this tree business about 6 year's ago. Having fun with it. Started climbing about 3 year's ago. I'll be 63 in April 👍👍😊
Not a climber. I just love the perspective from the top of the trees. I appreciate that you don't change the perspective of the camera every 2 seconds like some other climber videos. thanks for making videos!!
Been watching you and Guilty of Treeson for quite a while and was totally amazed. So much so that at 70 years old, I've started climbing and dropping trees on my property. What a rush. Thanks for all the tips.
The quality of your videos has greatly improved because of your commentary and editing skills. The image sharpness is fantastic. Blessings to you as you share your skills with us.
I’m glad I returned the Rope Runner Vertec before I started using. I waited a little bit for review then returned it after seeing what people thought about it.
Not a tree guy att but I absolutely love watching these be methodically removed. Honestly don't need a high edited video just content. It is always fun to hear Guilty of treesons ground guys talk maybe incorporate that. Keep it up and be safe. I work in the natural gas industry!
Not a climber, although love climbing trees. Have done some work as a 'groundy' for a professional tree surgeon friend. Have done a 4-day chainsaw course for my 50th birthday. Am a tree lover and tree burner! Good vid, thanks.
100 % climber.. rarely I will use a lift unless it's completely dead and has horizontal cracks.. and I like electric saws especially the 540i Husqvarna😊
Like battery powered chainsaw and pole saws perfect for quick cuts. ( they always start). I also have a gas powered saw. I am a ground person but I did purchase a towable man lift for my tree trimming and farm work . I enjoy your videos 😊
East coast climber. Have the Milwaukee. I wouldn’t say love but being able to grab & cut is good- no exhaust is nice. It’s not my go to but it has its uses. I’m also a vet climbing srt on a rrp. I like your style.
Climber. No shame love electric saws. I know the RUclips community hates them but I honestly have almost no complaints 🤷🏼♂️ this video made me want to try the Echo now. I do like the gas 355T
Lurker. Like battery saws after having borrowed a friend's for a bit of climbing - you can actually talk with the dude on the ground. I'm almost as fond of her Makita as she is.
Rec Climber. After watching videos like these for the past 4 years and reading some Jeff Jepson books. Love the content you put out. I like chili 🫘 eating chili as we speak. Haha
Groundie in Norway. Age 74, and still going. Your videos are both informative and entertaining. I'd appreciate any tips (safety and efficiency) for ground workers.
Don't dislike battery powered, but they both have their own pros and cons. Homeowner being taught by companies such as your own, Guilty of Treeson. Must say I have learned alot in a small amount of time thanks to you both. As well as Buckin Billy Ray. All of yall continue to stay safe.
10:40 Sawing trees in residential areas is really hard work. Especially climbing at scary heights. I was scared to death just looking at it, let alone having to climb like him. Really admirable.
From the heart always been an Echo fan, 2511t, 355t, cs400, cs600, 800P, wanted a Husky battery top handle or Stihl, but at 800 to 1000 dollars that was not going to happen...I am super happy with my recent purchase of the 2500t at home depot on clearance, saw, battery, charger for 240ish... with my 12 inch .43 stihl bar conversion, this saw is great.... been 60ft up in a big cedar, 6 inch limbs like butter...
Climber. Enjoyed the 360 view, or what ever that was at 23:35. Electric saws work well at limbs below 8”. You can talk to people and save your arms from cord pull action. I have an echo and used stihl, Milwaukee, husky. Battery prices are ridiculous though.
A certified RUclips climber here, and a U S Marine, Cpl, 1/6 , 2nd MarDiv, I love the 2500 but 1/4 pitch is not so great on your larger diameter softer woods, and be careful if you get your bar bound, throttling the 2500 several times with a jammed chain will cause you to damage the saw. Take care and stay Safe, God Bless, Semper Fi.
That really bums me out to hear you got rid of the Vertec. I purchased one and I like it so far. :( I am a Humboldt County, CA climber. I like your videos. I learn a lot from them.
New Climber, for a little over a year. I have learned a lot from your videos. Also like the camera angles you use from the back. How do you get that angle?
Groundie I guess... I am a Storm Chaser / Weather Tracker in south central Wisconsin and I have been doing this since about 1975. I have many years experience in EMS & Search And Rescue (SAR). After a tornado has devastated an area and if a tree gets blown down over the road I will sit there with all my hazard lights warning people until the Police get there. If it is OK for me to cut into manageable chunks to move to the side of the road I will do that if they want me to leave it for the county bulldozer to remove I will do that also. AFTER a tornado passes through I will do the Search And Rescue and possible first aid until the fire department arrives. After that I go around where there is tree damage to help homeowners with sidewalks, driveways and sometimes lawns. I will remove limbs and buck trees (cut them into 16-18” logs) that are already down. Sometimes I will make piles on the curb and other times I will just cut into small pieces and leave small piles on the lawn for younger people to take to the curb. I am in my 70s, retired, and physically bending over to pick things up isn't 'my thing” any more. I do enjoy helping people and I have done this all my life. I am NOT a meteorologist and I certainly do NOT have a doctor's degree in meteorology. I am just a citizen that helps people in times of need. NO I do not get paid and NONE of my equipment is paid by others. I could only wish to have sponsors for vehicle maintenance, fuel, and maybe a donut or two.
Climber; electric chainsaws have their place in all aspects of the tree service but I will always favor gas. Keep up the good work, good videos and honestly just like learning different techniques that work better for different situations.
Not a climber or ground worker. I did work for an arborist for a while as a ground worker though. Own a landscaping company and work on smaller trees during winter, leaned a lot from channels like yours about tree cutting and safety. Thanks.
Hi from Victoria 🇨🇦. I’m definitely NOT a climber! I’m an 82 year old lady with arthritis who is bored with inactivity so I watch a lot of RUclips videos. I’m learning a lot of skills I’ll never be able to use. 😊
Who LIKES electric chainsaws and who HATES them?
I still haven't used any of the new electric top handles so I don't have a fair opinion but that being said I love my 200's
I've used that echo loved how light it was battery doesn't last long once it's used a lot
I have the Milwaukee top handle. It’s powerful but heavy and it chatters on small branches because of slow chain speed. I like the quietness though
@@VeteranTreeService hate!
I use mine frequently. Right tool for some jobs.
Climber (senior) I started in tree work in 1987 and have a 2-digit ISA#. You do a fine job, and I appreciate your sharing.
Not a climber. Just a guy who enjoys your videos. Thanks for your efforts in producing a good show.
Me too, thanks.
Glad you enjoy the videos!
Climber/ 20 years love watching your videos get alot of knowledge from watching and listening thanks bro

Yes, I love electric.
For me you cut out the best bit - I was looking forward seeing how you managed that split trunk.
Climber love watching tree work videos just cause it’s a little different from line clearance
Not a climber. Never going to be. Huge fan of you guys!
Same! 😂
Started climbing this year at 25yrs old. I'm obsessed and have most of the gear I need for everything.
Great video by the way.

My limited experience with electric saws has been good. Depending on the unit they get the job done without the weight.
Awesome video!! Nice job Veteran Tree Service!
Hello 👋
100 % climber.. rarely I will use a lift unless it's completely dead and has horizontal cracks.. and I like electric saws especially the 540i Husqvarna😊
I climbed the career ladder. from a cook and kitchen aide to a nurse. I worked for 27 years and now I am home. I love gardening.

Nice work on that busted tree.

Really love your videos thanks I like to watch them while I eat I learn a lot 🤘🏼
This video gives me the heebie jeebies. I have got a morbid fear of heights, I am not scared of falling, it’s hitting the ground that bothers me 😂😂😂
Ya, I try not to hit the ground hard. 😄
Climber. Keep up the great content.
Thanks. I'm trying!

Climber here, late to the game. Did you have to change the drive sprocket on the 2500t ?
I have two of those saws and love them. One .325 and 3/8.
Yep. Sprocket required. Monkey beaver sells them. $70
I need one of those little electric top handle things I guess.

Climber, never used an electric chainsaw. Kind of an old soul here and I'm not really interested in the electric revolution.
